  • This item is vastly overpriced. You can do the same with a circle of rocks and tin foil. Anyhoo, what are you Christian folks doing prepping? We have passed from judgement into life, thanks to the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Why would the Body of Christ ever go through the Great Tribulation, even half-way? Is His blood not powerful enough to cleanse all your sins? Think about it.

    • I read Revelation a few times, and looks to me like it said that Jesus comes for his followers right before the day of the Lord’s wrath. The day of the Lord’s wrath is at the end of the tribulation. So it looks to me like Christians are going to experience the “Tribulation of the Saints”.

Also there are some people who only realize they need to be save by the blood of Christ after the tribulation begins. They will need to be prepared to live through the tribulation as Christians, because they only become Christians after they realize they are experiencing the prophecies of the end times.

Some Christians will live through the Tribulation of the Saints. You can take that to the bank.

      • I don’t plan on surviving the Great Tribulation. I am looking to the high upward call of God. I have passed from judgement into life. Head first or feet first. It’s up to God, however He wants it, fine with me.

        • Amen!!!! He Is Coming

        • I would like to think we go early but I think we go through some of it … I mean yeah Jesus has saved us just as his disciples and look what they went thru and how they were killed. The good news God will carry us through ( if we have to go thru it)…and there is a special blessing for those who go out that way… and even as Steven was being beheaded all he saw was Jesus …so we really will be at a different place when it happens. There is much he does to break us to perfect us

        • really so you know that absolutely hmmmm . So if your wrong because scripture is not exactly clear on this guess you will suffer hungry or take the mark

      • You need to read some more scriptures other than Revelation to get the timing of the rapture. Why would Jesus, allow His Bride to go through the tribulation period? Would you ask your bride to get beat up, dragged through the dirt, before your wedding? I think not! The rapture will occur in God’s perfect timing, but we are told that we will be removed before the anti-christ is revealed. Maybe we are prepping for those who are left behind and will need help to survive.

        • The rapture. notice the timing?
Occurs AFTER the distress of those days.
Unless you disagree with what Jesus said and prefer to believe what some man has said?

29 “Immediately after the distress of those days

          “‘the sun will be darkened,
          and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[b]
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

and Jesus expounds on this a few verses later

36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

          • Scott: Most people who believe the church will go through the rapture use these verses to try to prove their point. But—there are at least two points to consider using these verses. No. 1–Jesus is talking to his Jewish disciples here before there was a “church”. And note that in verse 31 He will send angels to gather His elect. No. 2- When you look at Paul’s teaching (and remember that Paul was taught by the Lord) you get this wonderful promise.

            1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (KJV)
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Notice the BIG difference–when the Rapture occurs, Christ Himself will call the dead and the living saints to meet Him in the air.

In Matthew, he is sending angles to gather His elect. It has been taught by some that this gathering at the end of the tribulation is of those who refused the mark of the beast yet made it through the 7-yr. tribulation! Sounds reasonable to me.

There are many other verses that show that the church is not intended for God’s wrath, but I will not take the time nor space here to list them all. May God bless you and give you that Blessed Hope talked about in Titus 2.

          • Barbara, your putting into those verses ideas which are not existing.
The intent of Paul’s message says that those who are currently alive, wont experience The second coming before the dead saints. There wont be a splitting apart of the body of Christ when HE returns. No, the brides body is one and each part important to the whole. Jesus marries a perfect bride, not one divided. Neither then can you split the bride into parts when He returns by RAPTURING THE LIVING BEFORE THE DEAD by creating a ‘pause’. This idea is totally against what the Lord says. There is no concept being taught here of long time between the dead raised and the living raised up when He returns.
Matthew 24 is quite clear about the sequence of events and the rapture gathering is taught by Jesus as coming immediately after the distree of those days. Any other meaning involves a lot of twisting in the wind.
14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

          • Something I used to wonder about was where Jesus in Matt 24 talked about one will be taken and one will be left. I used to hear this preached as those taken were those raptured, HOWEVER, this is not true! The place they are ‘taken’ has birds of prey, some translations say eagles, some vultures. This is the great REAPING OF THE EARTH, where these will be crushed and killed in the WINE PRESS OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD. This the the time spoken of in Rev 19, the great SUPPER of GOD where He calls on the birds to feast on men, the FLESH OF ALL PEOPLE!!, free and slave, small and great will be taken to this place and destroyed.

17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.”

As Jesus says here in Matt 24

“That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

And Jesus is talking of the smae event here in Luke 17
“34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.” [36] [e]

            37 “Where, Lord?” they asked.

He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.””

          • Go back and read it again–that refers to his final coming! he said we would be spared that stuff–he will first come in the clouds to call us, and we will be taken to him in the rapture—he will not touch down on earth that time!

          • ” we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord”
“the Lord himself will come down from heaven”

These verses are very clearly written that you MAY KNOW THE TRUTH.

God allows and designs that perils trials tribulations of this life are for the PERFECTING OF THE SAINTS. This is mentioned by Jesus, John, Peter and Paul.
No where in the bible does it support a pretrib rapture, that idea comes from mans idea. the example of Noah being saved from wrath of GOD applies to the destruction of that world Jesus has again promised that salvation to all who believe, protection from the ultimate death and destruction judgement of this world. Their is only one church in Rev which Jesus promises to keep from the hour of trial coming on the world. IMO, that will be perhaps those who are LEFT ALIVE until the Lord returns. Besides that, their is a wonderful future for those who are killed for their faith, something that false teachers following the sayings of men , who tell people what they wish to hear and tickle the ears dont want to see happen.

15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

        • scott D you are correct. The Anti Christ must set himself as G-D first. 2Th 2:3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,
2Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.
2Th 2:5 Do you not remember that I told you these things when I was still with you?
2Th 2:6 And now you know what holds back, for him to be revealed in his own time.
also when Yeshua explains the parable of the wheat and the tares sowed by the enemy. Mat 13:36 Then sending the crowds away, Jesus went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.
          Mat 13:37 He answered and said to them, He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man;
Mat 13:38 the field is the world; the good seed are the sons of the kingdom; but the darnel are the sons of the evil one.
Mat 13:39 The enemy who sowed them is the Devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Mat 13:40 Therefore as the darnel are gathered and burned in the fire, so it shall be in the end of this world.
Mat 13:41 The Son of Man shall send out His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who do iniquity,
Mat 13:42 and shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 13:43 Then the righteous shall shine out like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
also in the parable of the two in field. Mat 24:39 And they did not know until the flood came and took them all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Mat 24:40 Then two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:41 Two shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:42 Therefore watch; for you do not know what hour your Lord comes.
Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the steward of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be dug through.
Mat 24:44 Therefore you also be ready, for in that hour you think not, the Son of Man comes.
It is the unsaved that are “taken out first”
          ***** Be a Berean ********

        • cporter, have you not read Rev. 13:7? Pray tell me if we are going to be gone (the saints–GOD’s children/the bride of Christ) who is Satan going to fight with. This scripture plainly says that Satan will make war with us!!

        • cporter, have you not read Rev. 13:7? there will only be one rapture; so if we are gone–where are these saints in this scripture coming from? O-o-o-h I get it Jesus is just going to take some of us and leave some to fulfill this scripture. Have another cup of coffee and wake up.

        • We are specifically told that we will not be removed before the anti-christ is revealed:

          2 Thes 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The Bible specifically says, repeatedly, that the rapture is the first resurrection, and will come at the Last Trump, after the Tribulation. Very few prophecies are more explicit.

      • The Lord isn’t going to beat His wife. Christians will be taken from this earth in the rapture before God pours out His wrath. I see it happening around the 6th seal of Revelation, but nobody knows for sure. The rapture is the end of the “gentile age” or “church age.” After that time, only Jews can be saved. A remnant of Jews will be sealed by the angels and preserved through the tribulation to populate the earth during the millenium. At least, that’s how I see it. If you are not Jewish, better get ready to meet your Lord NOW. Read the book of Acts – the history book of the Bible showing how people are saved – and get the same experience for yourself: the indwelling Spirit of God manifested by speaking in a language He gives you to praise and communicate with Him.

      • Dismas, I am so glad somebody besides me reads the Bible.. A-MEN

      • One more thought, if all Christians are whisked away pre-trib, who is going to be around to teach Christ to the people who are left?

    • that is not to say we won’t go through catastrophic times before the tribulation period? what if Joseph or Noah to your position? maybe the prepping we are doing isn’t for us but for those who will be left behind. can you think of a better testimony for loved ones than I left all this for you to hopefully survive or last long enough to repent? don’t be so limited in you thinking. what if the economy collapses in the next few months, ahead of the rapture and stores are cleaned out?

    • The New Testament clearly says those who are saved by the Blood of Jesus, and are still living, will not suffer “the wrath of God.” In Revelation 10 you will find the angels have been given the bowls, and it is bowl #6 that contains “God’s wrath.” That would put us about half way through the tribulation. (I have written a paper making a case for the pre-trib rapture if you would like to read it.)

I was taught, like most Christians, that there would be a pre-tribulation rapture that whisks away God’s people before anything bad happens. While I certainly hope this is the case and I am wrong about the mid-trib rapture, it goes against everything the Bible teaches. While we are not under the law of Old Testament and under grace of the New Testament, it doesn’t change the fact that throughout the Bible God’s people did not go through the world unscathed. Even the disciples were beheaded, hanged, boiled with oil, stoned, nailed to an upside down cross, etc. I find it hard to believe that this generation of Christians is so much more special that we will not see some, and probably much more, of the tribulation disasters. So being ready is only logical, and if we are whisked away in a pre-trib rapture, we have left something behind to help those out who didn’t go in the first round.

    • Yes, it is highly overprice. Amazon has similar items much cheaper, and has a blog full of great ideas, DIY stuff, and other survival tips that cost little or nothing.

  • Joseph was a righteous man and he stored up for what was coming. We are not blind to what is coming, why ‘WOULDN’T’ Christians prepare. How wonderful even a testimony if we did not need it to help others in need, but that someone ‘Left Behind’ came across our stash? Yes, I believe it is a good thing for us to prepare; not out of fear but out of expectation of good things coming from our efforts. Think about it.

    • Not for me to say how to spend your money. It has to do with your viewpoint of the Bible. Mine’s dispensational. I think Jesus Himself is coming to get us, as a bridegroom for the bride, as a thief in the night, just as Jews did in their wedding ceremonies in Jesus’ time on earth. You know. The parable of the virgins trimming their lamps. I also don’t think a stash of stuff will leave much of a testimony. Grocery stores and warehouses have that and more.

    • I’m with you….all of us have some loved ones that will not be ready, they are not listening to us, they ,unfortunately, will be left behind….that is the saddest part of the Tribulation…at least those of us that can, leave marked Bibles, and food…a way for them to make it through to the end.

  • I agree with Sonya! I do not plan on going through the Great Tribulation. However, there may be plenty of hard times before we ever get to the Trib. Ask some of the old-timers that endured the Great Depression. Or more recently, the Katrina disaster. You would have told them to “don’t worry about it”???? I don’t know how bad things will get between now and the Tribulation. Makes sense to me to be as prepared as we can be……..then, if we have anything to share with a neighbor, what a great testimony that could be to them! Come on people, think just a little!

  • I agree with Sonya (and Dennis) as well! My parents, brother and I are saved, and we will not be going through the tribulation (btw, we subscribe to a pre-trip Rapture), but we feel that things are going to get bad very soon and probably will last through Christ’s second coming and of course will last beyond that for the poor unsaved people who are left behind. We want to live as best we can and also help others (our neighbors) if we can. Why would we not prepare since we know what’s coming? We feel its the ONLY smart thing to do and that God would endorse our actions as well. We cannot and will not stupidly just “wait” for the rapture to come and bail us out of hunger, thirst, disease, etc. and die a horrible death waiting for a rapture that could be 5 years in the future (I’m predicting 2016–2019). This would essentially be suicide/putting ourselves through needless pain and suffering. God tells us not to commit suicide/not to kill ourselves, and is would be suicide not to prepare. To sum it up, we’d rather live in relative comfort & help others UNTIL the rapture happens, and since there are hard times ahead, we’ve felt it prudent to prepare so we can live & minister to others as God has called us to do. You cannot depend on God to just magically “provide” food, water, toilet paper, medicine, etc. even when you’re praying to Him for it, & He may not provide it. His will is not always ours/what we want… Wake up & prepare now. We KNOW that a economic collapse/EMP/maybe both…something horrible is coming. Why not be prepared?? Proverbs 22:3–The prudent see danger and take refuge (prepare), but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.

Also, like “Christians Prepping” said, someone “left behind” in the tribulation could come across our place & stash and be helped by our preps, and they could also become saved (we have bibles all over the house prepped for this just in case the rapture should happen –they could become saved!!). We will minister to people even after we’re gone. What a testimony!!

Wake up people and like Dennis said, THINK!! Connect the dots. Don’t be “simple” sheeple.

    • Matthew 24:29
And immediately AFTER the tribulation in those day……..
The church WILL BE HERE during the tribulation! BUT we will be prepared, for we are NOT children of the night, but of the day!

If your saved reread the bible and get a revelation about the kingdom of God and it’s role in the tribulation. The children of Israel did not get to leave during the plagues, but the land of , which was where the children of Israel were, were NOT be smitten! Why?! Because when they did leave, there was a multitude of Egyptians that left WITH them because they believed the power of God!

  • Yes, there are other ways of cooking your food in a survival situation. Yes, you can even make your own box oven for cooking, baking and dehydrating. But for those who don’t want to fuss, the above is a great idea! Not sure about the price (could probably be bought for less elsewhere), but you should think about investing in something like it so you can have hot meals, bread and dessert!

    Just a thought.

  • Ive been storing up extra water and food and such too. I even have extra supplies set aside for my chickens my dog and my cats! I figure if the Rapture happens before it gets too ugly (hopefully) then whoever enters this house will have food, water, weapons for self defense and about 7 different Bibles they can read and numerous books about the end times and the book of Revelation. I even thought about making a note ahead of time telling whoever what has just happened and how they can be saved.

    • I am doing the same..It doesn’t hurt to be prepared…check out Jim Bakker’s site..Many useful items at reasonable prices

  • Hello fellow saints of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the one true GOD. Now I’m not saying that it’s not a good idea to prepare, because it is; especially if the supplies are to be found by the poor souls who will be left behind to experience the tribulation… Of whom I’m not. I will be raptured as I have not been predestined for wrath. GOD said when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh, Luke 21:28. And, “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell on the earth, Rev 3:10HE’s not returning to unbelievers, but only to those looking for Him. That being said, from the sounds of the trib, I’m not sure the sun will be shining in order to use this expensive item; and I don’t think people will be in any condition to be bbq’n. And if there’s no food, then it’s useless. On the other hand, I think it wise to stock up on bibles, bleach, batteries, flashlights, canned goods and water in an effort to help others and ourselves if necessary. GOD Bless you all

    • I agree, see you soon sis (in the air)

    • what does it mean to be kept from the hour of temptation?

  • Brothers and sisters, I learned my lesson through Y2K. I stored food, water, you name it. After it was over I reconsidered my planning efforts in light of the soveriegnty of God. Read Proverbs 16:9 and 19:21 concerning the plans of man and the plans of God. If I suffer through some tough times, it is a mere wink of an eye and I’ll do it in the name of Jesus Christ and with praise to my Father. If He wants to send me some food, He’ll send it.

  • I’m heaven bound, but right now we lie here, and this being said the crops are dying and food prices are getting extreme in price. A fool would not stock , for the prudent foresee the future and prepare. Seriously, stock up and store water, be there for your family if the prices get so high it’s hard to afford. Yes we are heaven bound, but we live here and need to still eat. Get your head out of the sand, stock for those who may be left here, family members etc. and what will it hurt? How do you know how long we have, can you believe the food prices now? It will get far worse soon as the corn crops died and corn is used on many food items. Look for double prices inallcstore foods.

  • This is all very nice and sounds really good, but there aren’t any guarantees that our heavenly Father
will keep us prosperous and wealthy and healthy and never lacking a penny. At this particular time, I’ve been struggling physically for a considerable amount of time and have to spend a lot of time flat instead of up and going. I can’t work because of these physical problems, even thought I really want to. I have a wonderful husband who, doesn’t love Jesus yet, and while I pray for that and for others to bow their knee this side of the rapture instead of “that side” (Rom 14:11 and Phil 2:10-11, every knee shall bow …), this wonderful husband of mine works so very hard and God blesses him and takes care of our every need because I “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness”, Mt 6:33-34. I don’t have any extra money to “go shopping” and purchase things I don’t have a need for right now. I do buy extra water every now and then if I have money for it, but in the day to day, I can say the Jesus makes sure that we have food on our table, fresh water to drink, medicine to help me day by day, car to drive with just enough gasoline, clothes on my back, even if they are used clothes, etc. . . . The most important things He gives me is salvation through the blood of Jesus, His Holy Spirit to help me get through day by day, His Holy Word to full of wisdom and instruction of how to be a good godly wife and a Spirit filled church to attend. I don’t have any extra to “prep” and I trust that God will take care of me as I try to keep my eyes open and my lamp filled and wick trimmed as I wait by the door for Him to come, bringing as many with me that I can. Above and beyond that, I could’t even think of breaking the budget to spend $299 to “prep” when that would take food off my table or gas out of my gas tank so I can go to church. He has ALWAYS been faithful to take care of me and I trust Him to ALWAYS be faithful to provide every need I might have in the future. It’s up to Him to take care of the rest. If He gives me extra money then He’ll tell me what to do with it.

    • THANKYOU for your testimony. I have not much extra myself. I and my youngest son are on SSI and it isn’t a lot of money. Even my internet is not very expensive as it cost 40 dollars a month. I am allowed that because of my sons disability of seizures. I have worried about him as he is 16 and wondering how it would be for him if we go through the tribulation.

  • Regarding Katy’s comment, apparently I am a fool with my head in the sand. Hey, that’s OK. Paul was accused of preaching foolishness in his insistence that Jesus Christ had provided all things and was sufficient for all things. (1Cor4:10-12) “We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are prudent in Christ; we are weak, but you are strong; you are distinguished, but we are without honor. To this present hour we are both hungry and thirsty, and are poorly clothed, and are roughly treated, and are homeless; and we toil, working with our own hands…”. I’ll place my trust in Christ, not in food and water storage. If I suffer for the sake of Christ, it will bring Him honor. I do not think that I am able to foresee the future as some of you do, so I will simply trust in Him. He is bigger than any problems I can foresee. The woman who wrote about not being able to afford to stock up should take comfort in the attitude of Paul… (Phil 4:19-20) “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” Yes, “Amen”.

  • It is always nice to be prepared! God is Good. I believe if He puts it on your heart to prepare then you should! God Bless!

    • amen Allan. I couldn’t agree more. I have been moved to put away alot and what always to comes to mind is Joseph. I may not be here but I have family and freinds who will be and they will need help. a good testimony as well as I have left all kinds of written statements in the stuff as a witness to them as to why they have been given this second chance.

  • Matthew 24:29
And immediately AFTER the tribulation in those day……..
The church WILL BE HERE during the tribulation! BUT we will be prepared, for we are NOT children of the night, but of the day!

  • Please notice verse 2 here, especially the ‘our being gathered to Him’ This Paul is teaching of the rapture and it is in agreement with what Jesus teaches in Matt 24. This rapture will not come until after the evil one is revealed in the earth. the revealing of the evil one is preceded by a falling away of belief “the rebellion occurs”.
The one (singular identity) who restrains him is the powerful angel Michael, who has been restraining Satan all thru the events told in the bible. It is not a multitude of people (the church) or God’s holy spirit who is ‘taken out of the way,
The world has been in rebellion always and not submitting to God, here Paul is talking about the end times condition of the church or those who claim to be believers but by their works deny Him and should be considered reprobate concerning the faith. The apostles all have talked about this future time where the church wont endure sound teaching but heap up teachers according to their own lusts. And Jesus himself said Many walk the path that leads to destruction and FEW walk the path that leads to eternal life.

    The Narrow and Wide Gates
Matt 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and ONLY A FEW FIND IT.

    2 Thessalonians 2
    The Man of Lawlessness

2 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

    Stand Firm

13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits[b] to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings[c] we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

Read Romans 9 to understand that when you have decided to believe in Jesus and have been born again that your salvation is by Grace alone and not done of yourselves. This is a hard thing for people to believe but our election is ordained by God and supported by God speaking about his all thru the history of how he deals with men.

14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses,

“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”[f]
16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. 17 For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”[g] 18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
    2 Thess 2:13
But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning GOD CHOSE YOU TO BE SAVED through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

    and Acts 13
46 Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles. 47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us:

“‘I have made you[f] a light for the Gentiles,
that you[g] may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’[h]”
48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.

  • To all those who are adamant of rapture pre-tribulation, all of us who are unsure hope that you are right. It does make me wonder why His Word isn’t 100% clear, and then I stop to think about the verse that says His plans are not ours, and our limited understanding. I feel it is sad if a Christian gets so single-minded about a subject that they actually start to judge others who don’t share their ‘opinion.’

  • More on the “Day of the Lord” 1 Thessalonians 5
This is the same DAY of the LORD that Paul mentions in 2 Thess 2 in regards to that DAY not coming until certain events transpire, one being the failing away rebellion, which leads to the other event, the revealing of the antichrist figure in the world. The sudden destruction mentioned is just that when Jesus returns everything is going to change extremely quick, even ourselves it says will be instantly transformed, there will be very little time left for the wicked. The world will see HIM coming on the clouds of heaven is terrible power and will seek to hide themselves from His wrath and anger but it will avail them not.

    1 Thessalonians 5

1 Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

There is much that God teaches about this very certain and particular unique ‘Day of the Lord’ in the New and Old Testaments.

  • Paul teaches more on this day in 1 Thess 4
This coming of the Lord is His coming back and all the earth will see Him event that Jesus mentioned in Matt 24 where He will send out his angels to gather up all of his people from the earth and we will meet Him in the air.
This is the same Day of the Lord and our gathering to Him will happen fast in an instant, the twinkling of an eye’, not a drawn out long time event at all. Then it says we will always be with Him. Right after we have joined with Him in the lower heavens we come down to earth to rule and reign with Him.

Jude 14 Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones 15 to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”

    Believers Who Have Died

13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

  • Most assuredly some of the Lord’s people are still alive on this earth as He says right here. There is no third coming of the Lord, He does not come back to get his people and then leave, and then come back again later on, that idea is not what I see written down in the bible.

15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

  • That was a very poor comment about “what are you Christian folks doing prepping?” That’s like trusting there will be fuel in your car without putting it in yourselves. Wake up! Its prudent to be prepared in all things possible and foolish not to have oil for your lamp.

  • I am praying for wisdom in this area because I see a pattern throughout the Bible of God telling his prophets ahead of time of what he intended to do. He doesn’t want us ignorant about the signs of the times and it’s up to us to pay attention. I see examples of God’s providence in scripture of taking people out of the way of destruction, like getting Lot out of Sodom before it went up in smoke, telling Noah to build the ark and protecting him and his family while all others were destroyed. Notice here that all the righteous people ahead of Noah had died before the flood, ending with Methusaleh, who died in the year of the flood. God delivered his people from the Egyptians by opening the Red Sea and got them through on dry ground before swallowing up Pharaoh’s army. God saved the Jews from destruction through Esther getting wind of Haman’s plot, Jonah was swallowed by a great fish, Daniel was protected in the Lion’s Den, the 3 righteous men were protected in the fiery furnace, Elijah was fed by ravens in the wilderness, Paul went through so many trials, beatings, shipwrecks, etc but God kept protecting him. All these people of old went through difficulties but in a protected state, which shows me that God knows everything about you and about the times we are living in. I have to have faith that he is able to give me wisdom to build an ark (store up goods) or remove me from danger when the terrible things predicted in the Bible are happening on the earth. One thing I know for sure is that God never lies and if he says a thing is going to happen, you had better get your hand in his hand.

  • Regarding the Rapture, in my earlier Christian days, I subscribed to the pretribulation rapture. Then one day, a lightbulb went off in my head. People always say, “why would God allow his people to go through the tribulation?” Do you realize how arrogant and selfish that statement is? Everyone of Jesus’ disciples including Jesus himself went through hell. Who is anyone to think they deserve better? Yes, we will miss God’s wrath, but I believe we will go through a great tribulation period. It is then where our faith will be tested. Societies throughout history have had to bear their cross.

  • Who Knows???

  • Blessing to you all, I am probley not as well versed in the Bible as most of you, so please forgive my childish viewpoint on this. But the way I see it, and understand it; First: there is one constant, always be prepared! because we do not know what day, or hour he is comming, and we all have families to feed no matter the circumstances. and secondly, I believe in the Pan-trip Rapture therory because I know that it will all “Pan out” in the end.

  • Wow, I hate to insult anyone so I’m just going to ask this one simple question….Can anyone of you show me where in the Bible it says that you need to be prepared with one of these ridiculous Global Sun Ovens?

    • Be prepared with whatever God tells you to be prepared with. If your heart is in tune with Holy Spirit (our teacher, our guide, our comforter….the Spirit of Truth)
then you will know what to do or not to do.
Praise be to God. He won’t allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear – but will make a way of escape. But be prepared in the way that Holy Spirit tells you to!!

      Amen and Amen

  • Doesn’t really answer my question Carolynne. Is this in the Bible? Yes or No? This web site is choc full of scriptural references to “support” all of the End of Days teachings so I need to know where the need, much less sale of this product is referenced in the scripture.

  • I do agree with the one who is reminded of Joseph. I don’t think it is the best use of our time to make prepping an issue of faith. It is not a lack of faith in God’s provision or protection to carry arms or store up food and other necessities. Nehemiah’s men were armed while rebuilding the temple. Joseph stored up excess food and grain for years of famine.

God, is not Santa Claus he doesn’t just automatically drop delivery of goods while we sit back and relax. We’re expected to work and bring in a harvest. We have a part to play in our own provision and protection. Where we should have faith is that God will allow us to have a job and make money to buy the things we need. That’s how he provides. He expects us to work for it if we are able bodied. Remember, “don’t work, don’t eat”?

  • Anyone who believes in Revelations doesn’t realize it is the ravings of a drugged and hallucinating man who ate mushrooms on the Isle of Patmos.

Stop wishing for the end of the world and start working to make it the paradise that is possible.

  • I am so glad that so many KNOW, what God is, how HE will conduct the events that will come. I wonder how many of these people understand that any religious book, anywhere, has been translated many, many times. I offer only a couple of facts. There is a severe penalty for changing what the scriptures say. This is to say that it will ( has already been ) be changed. The scriptures say that the book ( whichever ) can not be destroyed, not that it can not be changed. My book also says that many will come in my name ( Jesus ) that have never known me. I happened upon this web site during a random search, and find it full, very full of, shall we say, strange, very strange people.

  • To me to live is Christ and to die is gain (Paul)

  • RAPTURE BEFORE TRIBULATION BUT PERSECUTION TO COME: There is much confusion over the time line of the Lord’s Second Coming. The first and second comings of Christ are as one event to God. His death and resurrection must be followed by His return to take back that which He bought with His blood. He is the King and deserves to reign!!! God forgive the church for not clarifying the events of His triumphant return. The second coming also has two stages–the Rapture of those “in Christ,” the church, and the physical return of Christ to the earth at the end of the Tribulation. At the Rapture He comes only “in the clouds” and we go up to meet Him there. At the Second Coming, He returns as He left [Acts 1] to the Mount of Olives and His feet touch down creating a huge cleft [Zech. 14]. Two separate events. As Dr. Dave Hunt has said, the Rapture CANNOT happen at the end of the Tribulation because it would remove all living believers from the face of the earth, leaving no living seed to repopulate the earth for the Millennial Kingdom… The Rapture is also an imminent [any-moment] signless event and therefore must occur before the Tribulation. The Tribulation is marked by multiple signs because the Jews demanded signs, so He is going to give them multiple signs, in His mercy. How can the church live in expectation if they are watching for Antichrist rather than Christ? The Bride is taken out BEFORE the wrath falls. But for the Church, there is no condemnation [judgment] for those in Christ Jesus…Romans 8:1. Those who are at war with Satan during the Tribulation are Saints who come to Christ AFTER the Rapture. Why would Christ leave even the Tribulation world without grace? Even though the Holy Spirit is taken out in the Rapture in the sense that He no longer indwells believers, He is not absent from the earth. He will convict and convert as He did in the Old Testament times, before He came to indwell new believers at Pentecost. In fact, the largest revival the world will ever see will occur in the Tribulation [see multitudes martyred who were saved by the 144,000 Jews in Rev. 7]. Also, some will live to the end of the Tribulation through divine protection in order to be the seed of new population that will go into the earthly Kingdom of Christ [Rev. 20]. Only believers go into the Kingdom. So believers must alive at His return and present on the earth because man does not reproduce in resurrected bodies [not marrying or giving in marriage].
Something that will help with the confusion of “those left in the field…those taken” at the end of Matt. 24 is to note that this is the prophecy of the fulfillment of the wheat and the tares [weeds] parable in Matt. 13 which is clearly to take place at the end of the Tribulation. It is NOT the Rapture. It is the separation of lost and saved at His physical second coming to the earth to ready for the Kingdom. Not every “taken” is the Rapture. Be careful in rightly dividing the Word. At the end of the Tribulation, when the Kingdom is about to begin at His return as King, the evil are taken OUT, not the righteous. That is because the living righteous in Christ are LEFT on the earth in order to live and re-populate the Kingdom on earth, the same as in the great flood prototype. Noah’s sons were the “seed” of the world after the first global judgment, the Flood. The Tribulation is about Israel, not the church [Daniel 9]. It is the 70th week of Daniel to finish the work God has to do with Israel and to judge the Christ-rejecting world as a whole…it is not about the church. It is the time of Jacob’s Trouble, but he [Jacob] will be saved THROUGH it [Jeremiah]. The woman in Rev. 12 is not the church, she is Israel from the prototype of Joseph’s dream in Genesis with the same sun-clothed woman, Israel–who gives birth to Christ, the child. The woman represents the 12 tribes of Israel, hence 12 stars. LOOK TO ISRAEL FOR THE SIGNS OF HIS SOON RETURN. Because there are NO signs for the Rapture…we are to be already ready and always ready to stand before the Bema, the Judgment Seat of Christ, 1 Cor. 3:10ff…which will reward the church for works done AFTER salvation. Ephesians 2:8-10–don’t forget verse 10. We are here to bring glory to God and to fulfill the destiny for which He chose us. Get busy. Be ready always. P.S. Even though I believe we will be raptured before the Tribulation, the U.S. may experience quite severe persecution and national judgment before we are taken out. Why should we escape earthly tribulation? Other Christians around the world are even now suffering and dieing. So, do not be too quick to mock preppers. But especially, prepare spiritually for war.

  • Everything you believe about the end times must be subject to what Jesus taught. He is the primary, the apostles teaching must also line up under what he said and is built upon it.
And therefore must be interpreted in that LIGHT.

As Jesus says in Matt 24, the gathering takes place as HE SAID immediately after the tribulation of those days. there is no other rapture mentioned by Jesus except that very one. Christians are alive on this earth until his return, so obviously they resisted receiving the mark and or worshiping the beast and his image. The beast world system kills many believers by beheading them, which is likely an easier death, much different from what the early church endured in the Roman arenas.

4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They[a] had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

  • Have you never thought that Israel must be one of the resistors of the Antichrist world system?
One of the three angels that preaches the true gospel from heaven says
9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” 12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”

“Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

  • However Israel at the very end is saved by Jesus when he returns as it says in Zech 14 and also Paul in Romans 11
    All Israel Will Be Saved

25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way[e] all Israel will be saved. As it is written:

    “The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is[f] my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”[g]

  • Zech 12 13 14 goes into much more depth about this DAY of the LORD, it is a special DAY, not a week or a season.

Mourning for the One They Pierced

10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit[a] of grace and supplication. They will look on[b] me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. 11 On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, 13 the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives, 14 and all the rest of the clans and their wives.

  • Now since this happens at the end look at Zech 14. The Israelites of that future time are saved, so they MUST have resisted the antichrist and not received his mark. Since if they had, then they could not be saved as God has said. So this means that there are unsaved resistors of the beast’s world system and that nation will be all alone and is Israel. they dont get saved until the very end of the end times. They might even become believers when they see him coming on the clouds of heaven.

    The Lord Comes and Reigns

14 A day of the Lord is coming, Jerusalem, when your possessions will be plundered and divided up within your very walls.

2 I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. 3 Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle. 4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. 5 You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake[a] in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

6 On that day there will be neither sunlight nor cold, frosty darkness. 7 It will be a unique day—a day known only to the Lord—with no distinction between day and night. When evening comes, there will be light.

8 On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it east to the Dead Sea and half of it west to the Mediterranean Sea, in summer and in winter.

9 The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.

  • Not only this, but God says there will be survivors from the nations that came to the battle.
Isaiah 66 and Zech 14 mention them.

God is not a man that he should lie, His word is truth. and He is all powerful. When you talk to people and they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. So listen to what the word says, and not the deceptive twisting spin that men put on it.

    Zech 14
16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. 17 If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, they will have no rain. 18 If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The Lord[b] will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. 19 This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.

18 “And I, because of what they have planned and done, am about to come[a] and gather the people of all nations and languages, and they will come and see my glory.

19 “I will set a sign among them, and I will send some of those who survive to the nations—to Tarshish, to the Libyans[b] and Lydians (famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to the distant islands that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. They will proclaim my glory among the nations. 20 And they will bring all your people, from all the nations, to my holy mountain in Jerusalem as an offering to the Lord—on horses, in chariots and wagons, and on mules and camels,” says the Lord. “They will bring them, as the Israelites bring their grain offerings, to the temple of the Lord in ceremonially clean vessels. 21 And I will select some of them also to be priests and Levites,” says the Lord.

22 “As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure. 23 From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me,” says the Lord. 24 “And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”

  • I read thru these post and saw lots of scripture on a loyt of different subjects.. not to say planning isn’t a reasonable act… I was drawn to this post and was suprised not to find this scripture even mentioned Matthew 6: 25-31 Seek ye first … Put Jesus first. Now is the time. Hope this puts it in perspective
    Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

  • 17 “For the time is come that judgment must BEGIN at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 18 “And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” 19 “Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.” I Peter 4:17-19

  • I beg of you children to confess with your mouth and believe in your heart!! How do I know that many of you are not with the holy spirit? Cause you will not humble yourselves before God or his word. You cause confusion for yourselves and his teachings and word. Repent and pray and humble yourselves. When you do these things and truly believe in your heart, then everything is CRYSTAL CLEAR IN AND THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD (THE BIBLE).
Once you have humbled yourselves so that you may see clearly what the bible says then watch this to know when the rapture will occur. You will not know the day nor the hour but you will know the time (as in seasons). WATCH!!!

  • that junk on top of this page shows there be many who would flees the sheep.

  • oh and here is another thing those who preach any other doctrine than that of Christ and his Apostles serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly…thats in Romans 16: try 17 and 18. So long as this country been under the influence of those who who malign Gods word. Until lately the whole world Church was as the Church of the Laodiceans, where they are rich and have need of nothing. And even now none will repent of their sin of pride before God. Yes its called free will and they make their boast in goodness that brings them to God…they have added to the doctrines of God and made doctrines of men their religion. Not by my might but thin oh Lord do I come before the in repentance and thankfulness for your salvation Oh great God.
Epphesians 2:8,9 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast.
The key to understanding this is John 6:65 and he said, Therefore said Into you, that no man can come to me, except it were given unto him of my Father. So marvel not when when you’ve when wolves show up in sheep’s clothing, Christ said there would be tare’s among the wheat who would fool even if were possible the very elect… so go to God an ask him to open the eye’s of your understanding if he will that you know him.
Why do you think Paul tells us that if God peradventure will give them repentance…why does Paul say that they are taken captive in the snare of the devil at his will….WHO’S WILL? OUR FREE WILL? I THINK NOT. But all through his word he has been the God who directs the hearts of men and non can stay his hand or say to him WHAT DOEST THOU…

    • You should put up a web page Jonathan.

  • Agreed. The bible says to pray for them as well. Thanks be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen!

  • Let him who has ears to hear, hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
If you follow the blind , well then your also one of the blind.

AND BOTH of you will FALL INTO THE PIT.

Moses when challenged by the rebellious of the congregation in the wilderness, said if God has not spoken by me, then let these men die the death of all men. But if I did speak by God’s word, then let them die an unusual death.

Written to us as examples of what happen to those who follow their own ways and their own imaginations.

23 Then the Lord said to Moses, 24 “Say to the assembly, ‘Move away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.’”

25 Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. 26 He warned the assembly, “Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins.” 27 So they moved away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram. Dathan and Abiram had come out and were standing with their wives, children and little ones at the entrances to their tents.

28 Then Moses said, “This is how you will know that the Lord has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea: 29 If these men die a natural death and suffer the fate of all mankind, then the Lord has not sent me. 30 But if the Lord brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the realm of the dead, then you will know that these men have treated the Lord with contempt.”

31 As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households, and all those associated with Korah, together with their possessions. 33 They went down alive into the realm of the dead, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community. 34 At their cries, all the Israelites around them fled, shouting, “The earth is going to swallow us too!”

35 And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense.

  • Matthew 15:14
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

    • If you notice all associated with Korah went down alive into this pit and died. Including the little ones, all everyone. In this case, these blind leaders who had no light in them, all lead many to destruction. this was a very quick destruction, today sometimes destruction seems far off, yet it is still very certain.

31 As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households, and all those associated with Korah, together with their possessions.

Peter writes hear saying their destruction is not sleeping, with condemnation long hanging over them. With men it can seem like bad things go on forever, but with God’s perspective from eternity, these things are judged already with certain doom awaiting.

2 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

  • People misunderstand Gods time and our time. Yet the bible is very clear as to how to see our time here on earth compared to Gods time.

    2 Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Now that we know Gods time and our time. We must also realize that in the end times the bible speaks of. It says things will be greatly accelerated. This could mean 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years. Anything over 20 years can not be considered greatly accelerated because the word of God would have said otherwise as in a 3rd or 4th ect ect. So we can expect all these things to happen in 20 years or less. They could happen any instant. The thing to remember is that we are aware as to what is happening and we must go forth and save as many as we can through faith and prayer.

  • Jesus promised that the Gospel will be preached to all creatures, then the end will come.

For an example of how people get saved simply look at what Paul did at Ephesus. And what Acts says

” and all who were appointed for eternal life believed”
It is the heart convicted by the Holy Spirit which leads you to be saved and salvation only exists for those who are appointed for salvation.
The parable of the farmer throwing seeds, only some of the seed fell into the good ground, the rest was lost.

44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. 45 When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy. They began to contradict what Paul was saying and heaped abuse on him.

49 The word of the Lord spread through the whole region.

God chose you for salvation !
13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    But what of the others?
” born only to be caught and destroyed”
12 But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish.

Gos soveriegn choice to election! Meaning salvation you must be one of the elect.

6 It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7 Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[b] 8 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. 9 For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”[c]

10 Not only that, but Rebekah’s children were conceived at the same time by our father Isaac. 11 Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: 12 not by works but by him who calls—she was told, “The older will serve the younger.”[d] 13 Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”[e]

19 One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” 20 But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’”[h] 21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?

22 What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction? 23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory— 24 even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

And many other words of Jesus say the same
    Go over John 6 – 8, John 17

34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”

35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

41 At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” 42 They said, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?”

43 “Stop grumbling among yourselves,” Jesus answered. 44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’[d] Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. 46 No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. 47 Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.

  • Yes the gospel will be preached to all. Its interesting that we are preaching it here now! Again another sign. With all that is going on in the world though, I see more and more people turning to God more then I have seen before. Its amazing.

  • Grace alone for salvation, not of works. A remnant only is saved. Which agrees with what Jesus says about the broad versus narrow path and few there are that walk on it, while many walk on the path that leads to damnation.

5 So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. 6 And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

And also of the non elect it is said here that GOD GAVE THIS TO THEM, salvation is all about grace. Over and over God continually shows men that their works are evil, even after the flood, they built the Tower of Babel, which God destroyed. God has determined fractionation for all men of the world, tearing down earthly alliances which lead only to evil world governments and empires, (something Satan is doing), Instead he build Gods kingdom which will never be destroyed.

” The elect among them did, but the others were hardened, 8 as it is written:

“God gave them a spirit of stupor,
    eyes that could not see
and ears that could not hear, to this very day.”

    Romans 11
I ask then: Did God reject his people? By no means! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. Don’t you know what Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he appealed to God against Israel: 3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”[a]? 4 And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”[b] 5 So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. 6 And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

7 What then? What the people of Israel sought so earnestly they did not obtain. The elect among them did, but the others were hardened, 8 as it is written:

“God gave them a spirit of stupor,
    eyes that could not see
and ears that could not hear,
    to this very day.”[c]
    9 And David says:

“May their table become a snare and a trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them.
10 May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see,
and their backs be bent forever.”[d]

Another interesting word is the future salvation of Israel, again this emphasizes grace, God’s choosing, not works.

    “The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is[f] my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”[g]

God’s will, will be done on Earth and nothing will stop it. Men will try to challenge the purposes of God, and they will be overthrown.
We are always told by god to look forward, not turn back to the past life. Once you put your hand to to the plow, if you look back your not fit for the kingdom of God, and let the dead bury the dead. Lot’s wife also looked back.
