Pope Francis Orders Body Of Dead Monk Padre Pio To Vatican To Be Worshipped

His body was partially reconstructed with a life-like silicone mask and preserved in a large, temperature-controlled glass reliquary so the faithful could view it.

Padre Pio was dogged during his life and even after his death by allegations that he was a fake but Church investigators cleared him each time.

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.” Deuteronomy 18:10,11 (KJV)

His name was Padre Pio, he was a Catholic monk who died in 1968, and he is prayed to by millions of Catholics around the world. Pio is said by the Catholic Church to have had the “stigmata” – the bleeding wounds of Jesus on his hands and feet. In 2008, in true necromantic fashion, his dead body was dug up and made into a shrine inside a glass coffin. His body was partially reconstructed with a life-like silicone mask and preserved in a large, temperature-controlled glass reliquary so the faithful could view it.

Now Pope Francis has ordered the corpse of Padre Pio to be displayed in St. Peter’s Basilica during the Catholic Church’s current Holy Year on the theme of mercy. The body, along with that of another, less famous saint that is being transported to Rome from northern Italy, will be displayed in a Rome church before both are moved in procession to St. Peter’s on Friday.

This is all part of the unholy, demonic obsession by the Catholic Church to worship these artificial “saints”, pray to the dead, and to get people’s eyes off of Jesus Christ and on anything else. Look at the woman with her hands and face pressed against the glass coffin of Padre Pio in the photo at top. She is crying like she lost a family member, and she is PRAYING TO HIM for guidance and help with her life. All of this fostered, sanctioned and encouraged by Pope Francis and all levels of Vatican authority. This activity is absolutely forbidden in the Bible, and had much in common with cultic Mormon rituals and ceremonies for the dead.

Many people said the brown-robed Padre Pio was able to predict events in their lives and knew what they were about to confess. There are thousands of “Padre Pio Prayer Groups” around the world.

Padre Pio was dogged during his life and even after his death by allegations that he was a fake but Church investigators cleared him each time.

You are looking at what the Vatican Whore of Babylon loves to do best, deceive people. Starting today, the corpse of Catholic shaman Padre Pio will lie in a glass coffin, and over 1 million people will file past to lean over the coffin to pray to him, venerate him, which is simply another way to say worship him.

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4 (KJV)

Ok Geoffrey what do you know of Morman rituals?

    • I know that they baptise the dead, perform marriage ceremonies for the dead, and a whole host of other demonic rituals.

      • True.

      • becauseiknow

Yes, totally demonic. Many of the catholic rituals are based on spritism. Why they don’t get it, I’ll never understand, but it is so clear in the Bible that God HATES spriritsm… yet there you have catholics delving in spiritistic practices over and over again!

    • Terri

No matter how this man lived it is still satanic t eorship him after death. Only Jesus should be .

  • Char

Wow, I didn’t know the Catholic church was THAT in the dark that they would do such a strange thing. Seems the people of this day and age would know better than to worship a dead human. I guess if they can be convinced to worship a statue, then they can be convinced to worship a dead heathen. Kinda spooky, huh!

  • Lidna Cross

I know nothing of Mormons or Catholics really since I’m neither, but I do like reading about different faiths and learning the different rituals, etc. some do. I have never understood why a faith would baptize a dead person or why they would perform marriage ceremonies for the dead….what’s up with that? Why would they do that? I know it is not Biblical or scriptural, so by what authority do they do this? I’m totally confused. Geoffrey do you have articles about these demonic rituals of the Mormons and Catholics?

God bless u

  • Edwitness

Catholic’s claim they have several preserved corpses they say are miracles God uses to prove she is the true church. Like the Jews, they are very interested in signs for evidence of truth. But God gave us His word, that they say is not inspired, to reveal to us by the Holy Spirit’s leading, His will for mankind as well as for us personally.
Just some more false gods for them to worship.

    • becauseiknow

Exactly! Catholics, like all of false religion practice rituals and traditions of men. They do not follow the counsel in God’s word the Bible to hate spritism and hate what is bad and to not worship anyone other than God. They do not listen. They are not seeing miracles from God. They are blinded by the devil’s crafty acts, misleading them all. They must read the Bible and follow it to get out of the spiritistic practices of false religion.

I used to be in the Catholic Church. It’s fairly common to venerate saints and have one patron saint for every area in life – health, travel, exams, etc. We were not directed to pray to these saints but to ask for their intervention, which I realized later is totally unbiblical. Even Padre Pio himself would not have allowed it. He was already surrounded by miraculous events when he was alive, but he asked that all should worship only Jesus. He remained humble and faithful all his life.

    • Leonard

Don’t know when you were a Catholic, when I was in a Catholic School in the early 1960’s, there were official prayers to various saints, called Novenas, if I recall correctly. The saints were seen as kind of a “congressman” in Heaven that would speak to God on your behalf. One more reason to run from the Catholic church…

      • Ben

Yes there are recommended prayers and novenas pertaining to each saint. I wasn’t an observant Catholic you see 🙂 I was not very keen on these prayers as they were quite stilted. But I remember Padre Pio’s prayers, because they are directed to Jesus and the words are biblical: “O my Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, ask and it will
be given you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.’ Behold, I knock, I seek and ask.” It ends as “O my Jesus, You have said, ‘Truly I say to you, heaven and
earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.’ Encouraged by Your infallible words, I now ask for the grace of..,”
I see nothing wrong with these prayers. They are Jesus’s own words.
Even though I’m not a Catholic now, I don’t think we should deride Catholics or saints. I’ve read about Padre Pio and there seems to be no evidence that he faked his wounds. He often wore hand coverings to hide the stigmata and he prayed for these wounds to be taken away. The Catholic Church in fact investigated him quite thoroughly and nearly excommunicated him because he was getting a lot of attention. They moved him to a remote post. And accounts say he was brusque to reporters – he was not seeking fame. There is no record that he lived any other way except as a humble priest, unlike celebrity preachers today with their mansions and their SUVs. He would not have wanted anyone to worship him.
Maybe the Catholic Church preaches wrong doctrines, but it doesn’t mean they’re all unsaved. Anyone who prays to Jesus and believes in His salvation is saved.
Padre Pio was a Catholic so he practiced his faith according to his church, but it doesn’t mean he did not worship Jesus. It does not mean he was unsaved. So it also does not mean his miracles are faked.
We must be careful not to dismiss anything that might shake true faith in Jesus. Jesus said do not lead little ones astray. Any idle word we speak will be judged. We must not speak evil of others; we must not be hypocrites who with our mouths, bless God but curse our fellow man.
Anyone who mocks the Holy Spirit is guilty of blasphemy. It is not for me to say which works are by the Holy Spirit and which are not. But, by their fruit we shall know them. We are not to sow strife, for this is where envy snd every evil thing reside.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

        • dean

Where is the stigmata mentioned in the Bible?

          • Nowhere, the “stigmata” is just another PAGAN invention from Rome.

          • Kathleen SCHILLING

I am a former Catholic who has left the church and has since accepted Jesus as my SAVIOR. Catholicism teaches salvation through following the 10 commandments and good works. They have elevated Mary and their saints as intercessors to Jesus which is found NOWHERE in the Bible. The Bible does tell us that Jesus is our intercessor before God and that He and He alone is our salvation. Jesus was our sacrificial lamb, and paid the price for our sins on the cross. All we have to do is acknowledge that we are sinners and accept Jesus as our SAVIOR. This is the Fathers solution to sinful man, not some man made attempt to reconcile with God. Once you have accepted Jesus, good works and following God’s commands follows because you come to really know Him and love Him, not just know about Him. Please believe me when I tell you if Padre Pio was really saved he would be horrified that people are praying to him instead of his SAVIOR and the SAVIOR of us all, my Lord JESUS CHRIST!

          • Cal

The stigmata are wounds that Christ endured and found on living holy people, most often, later named Catholic saints of the Church. Stigmata is not mentioned in the Bible because only Christ bore them, and the last book of the Bible being the Apocalypse was written by St. John given to him by God. The apostles and disciples of Christ wrote the New Testament and it ended with their writings. That isn’t to say that nothing holy or spiritual or Godly occurred after the Bible was written such as people who were holy enough to bear similar wounds to that of Christ. This website NTEB is nothing but pure ignorant Catholic trashing ALL THE TIME. They take very little Bible, mix it with very little current events, mix that with an ignorance of the Catholic faith along with the bad people, particularly Masons, who have wormed their way into the Church to bring it down, just to label the whole Catholic faith as unbiblical….That is no different than saying that America is filthy Muslim demonic antichrist trash just because it is run by Ovomit……You people are ignorant.

        • natsykoko

hes not praying, he just repeating what the bible says..
praying is asking for forgiveness and thanksgiving.

          Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

“Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.” (Acts 17:22)

To those who do not know the teachings of the multitude of religious groups, I suggest that you spend some time studying the doctrines of these “faiths”. It is good for you personally in your relationship with Jesus as well as arming you to be an effective witness.

The common bond of EVERY religion, exclusive of the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, is that every one is based upon the “works” one does. From the Campbellite to the Acts 2:38 Pentecostal, to the bead twiddling, saint worshiping Catholic, Mormans, JW’s, Muslims, Satanists, atheists, and your grandmother, all are thinking that they will get to “heaven” by the religious hoops they jump through. And not a single one of any group will have the “blessed assurance” the comes from knowing The Lord Jesus Christ as his/her Saviour.

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” (Romans 8:16)

Do you KNOW you are saved?

    • Edwitness

      Mike Watchinski,
I KNOW I’m saved. And amen to your awesome comment.

  • Rick

This is just creepy. It reminds me of the Russian ceremonial practice to embalm their dead dictators who were reveared by the state during their reign of terror against the proletariat. Lennin, the architect of Communism, was preserved in this way. His corpse is on display as a cryptic reminder to the peolple that he is stiil somehow among them and that godless Communism prevails in death.

  • Larry / vietnamvet1971

How Morbid, the Catholic church religion is FULL of Abominations against GOD.

  • Skywatcher

We may thing some of the above-mentioned practices are morbid, and they ARE! But just wait! There’s much more to come! The RC cult appears to be reverting back to its horribly satanic days, so that means after a period of time, they will be dissecting this dead man, and sharing his bones amongst their many and various white-washed tombs (churches) to be worshipped. In some of their cathedrals, you can actually view bones of dead “saints” from ages past. Here will be another likely candidate.

Yes, it is very difficult to grasp how people can worship people or their body parts…especially in this day and age when we’re supposed to be the “civilized” world! Head hunters are already walking amongst us, so I guess really, nothing should surprise us! God will allow this to go only so far and His mighty hand will come slamming down as He roars, “IT’S ENOUGHT”. His hand comes down and we go up! Praise His mighty name!
    Blessings, all!

    • Heather

Skywatcher, the creepiest part in this article to me is that not only was his place of rest was disturbed, but they dug his bones up and gave him a face with the appearance of real flesh as if he had just died, or rather brought back to life? We see the holograms in which Michael Jackson has been brought back to life performing on stage. Remember in the movie Left behind, (realizing it was just a movie) didn’t they have the Antichrist enclosed in a glass coffin after he was killed by a gun shot to the head? They had all cameras on him for the world to see when he awakened back to life.

The following two sentences in which Geoffrey quoted came me chills.

“In 2008, in true necromantic fashion, his dead body was dug up and made into a shrine inside a glass coffin. His body was partially reconstructed with a life-like silicone mask and preserved in a large, temperature-controlled glass reliquary so the faithful could view it.”

      Revelation 13:3 (KJV)

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

      Revelation 13:14-15 (KJV)

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

      • Skywatcher

Heather, I KNOW just what you mean! That part really gripped me too! WHO in their right mind would want to dig up a body in the first place and then encourage people to worship it! That’s an extension of Hallowe’en and as demonic as it gets! This is a parallel to the heads they would put on posts years ago, when they tortured men, women, and children to death for their faith in Christ. I cannot begin to imagine what kind of nightmares and night terrors those children and adults must’ve had in those days after walking past such to get to school, work, to the shops, etc. I wouldn’t want to go outside my house if I had to look at something as grotesque as that. And now this…which isn’t new either.

This just shows the level of moral and spiritual depravity this evil entity known as the RCC really is. It’s as contrary to God’s Word as one can possibly get. They glorify death and the dead and IGNORE and DISOBEY the RISEN Savior! The adherents look normal, and they talk like regular folk, but when they partake in such occultish activities such as this, with absolutely no shame but total wild abandon, then they’re anything but normal. They are sick in the head; insane; asinine; perditious and given over to Satan. He has full control of their minds, and the sad part of it all is…they’re allowed to vote and to make policies to govern the rest of us!

Not for much longer. Either way, we’re going home and Christ and all His born again saints and Heavenly hosts will be coming back with Him to reign for 1,000 years! That ought to change the spiritual and moral landscape quite a lot. In the meantime, we need to be praying that many of these dear people have their spiritual eyes opened before it is too late for them.

        • Edwitness

I have a prayer request for you and all brothers and sisters here. My daughter, who is in nursing school, has a freind she has been witnessing to and counseling about a relationship she is in. She knows it’s wrong but he has lots of money and she hopes they will eventually marry. She is sad almost all the time.
Well, she tried to kill herself 2 days ago. My daughter is very sad for her and wants as many Christians to be praying for her as possible. I am so glad that, aside from my local brethren I can call on you all to pray as well.
She was raised in a Catholic home with parents that told her they could not stand her. We really need to lift her up to the Lord in prayer.
          Thanks in advance.

          • Skywatcher

Edwitness, thank you, for the privilege of taking this young lady before our Father’s throne of mercy and grace! It broke my heart to read the little background you gave on her! So sad! Praise God, that she was not successful in her attempt on her life! She has no idea what unhappiness is until she should find herself in a Christless eternity.

I have prayed for her, asking that she accept Christ’s free gift of salvation first, and then she will have a family who will love her, no matter what!

Secondly, I prayed that she would come to her senses and marry for the right reason, love…and NOT for money. That is a recipe for a horrible future if she goes for the latter, as we all know. Seeing that she is in a relationship with this guy, and is so unhappy should be a wake up call for her. That’s God’s way of saying, “WHOA! He’s not the one!” Your daughter will help her to wake up to this.

Thirdly, I’ve prayed for your daughter, that she would be able to reach this young lady, way down deep inside, and see fruit for her labor! What a blessing it must be to have a daughter who stands and lives for Jesus! Your daughter will see this young lady into the Kingdom! I just know it! It is when we are at our lowest that we have no other direction to look other than up! “Kathy”, let’s call her, is just now on the verge of starting out on a whole new journey of life, and I believe she will receive Christ!

The love your daughter pours into her soul will win the day, and Satan will have to lurk back into the shadows, seeking for another soul he can devour! He’s NOT having this one any longer!

Blessings to you, and those whom you love!

    • Bryan

Skywatcher, i could not agree more! I grew up Catholic and went to Catholic school, but have been saved by faith in Jesus alone (praise HIM)! MY grandmother had a card with a picture of Padre Pio and the card also allegedly had a drop of his blood that had dripped from the stigmata wounds. Really twisted stuff! My brother was named after a saint and has some ornamental trinket that allegedly has a chip of bone from the saint. Ugh! Awful satanic evil stuff. Jesus alone can save us and Jesus alone is worthy of all praise.

      • Skywatcher

My dear brother, Bryan, thank you, for your confession of faith in Christ! I’m so glad to hear that you have met the risen Savior and know Him personally! Welcome to the family of God, and I look forward to meeting you soon! Did you know…we have the same Father but different mothers! 🙂 Judging from our appearance, we’ll probably look like we went shopping for clothing at the same store (white robes)! We still have a lot of work to do, praying for the rest of your family and MANY others to wake up before it is too late. I would love to hear more as to how your conversion came about!

God bless you, my brother! God is sooooo good!

  • Skywatcher

  • Listening2all

Reminds me of – “Do not consult the dead on behalf of the living”. I was given a large cross of Jesus by a lovely Catholic lady and was supposedly in honour of this man Pio or blessed by him I think the person said who gave it to me, it was a heavy black and silver cross with latin writing, it was the first time I had ever heard of him, I threw it in the bin when I received the revelation. I don’t know much about Pio but obviously the Catholics were putting their faith in him even though he was dead, for healing. Like this article states it gets our eyes of Jesus.

  • Tusitala

This is so totally disgusting that I am cringing, and this from an ex-Catholic who was queen of relics and statues. Thank You, Jesus, for delivering me from the bondage of Rome.

    • Edwitness

We are praising Jesus with you. And for those who will be delivered.
      Thank you Jesus!

  • casey

Jesus founded One Church….not churches…..He founded the Catholic church and some 1500 years later we have thousands of so call protestant churches.
As far as asking Saints to intercede for us..protestants use “prayer chains” where anybody they know can intercede for them…any Joe Schmo will do…I would rather have a Holy saint pray for me.

    • Patricia

Casey: “Holy Saints” are dead. They are only made “saints” by the Catholic Church after they die. When you die you are dead – you are asleep until Jesus calls the dead to be awakened. They are not going to be able pray for anyone, not even for themselves. And we do not pray to the them, the dead – they do not have the ability to hear our prayers or answer us, same as statues. We pray to Jesus who intercedes to God the Almighty for us – through Jesus are our prayers heard. As far as prayers “chains” I am putting your name on mine so you your eyes can be opened. God bless you, Casey.

    • Joseph D’Hippolito

Casey, there’s a fundamental difference between the two practices. As a former Catholic, I can tell you that Catholics would invoke the intercession of the saints because they believe saints are closer to God…and, therefore, have more influence with Him. Catholics seem to view the departed saints as lobbyists, much like lobbyists in Washington, D.C. I believe that’s one reason why professions and nations (among other parties) have patron saints.

That view also suggests that God is so busy that He needs a bureaucracy to help Him! Unfortunately, that view also reflects the fundamental state of Catholic ecclesiastical structure.

When non-Catholics engage in intercessary prayer, they don’t believe that the intercessors are necessarily closer to God than they are. They want support from people who can provide help, insight and consolation in real time. Intercessary prayer is a fundamental way for members of the Body of Christ to “bear each other’s burdens.”

The difference also reflects a misunderstanding of the nature of communion and community. Casey, let’s say that you have to move away from your present home for personal or professional reasons — so far away that it’s logistically impossible for you to attend the Catholic parish you currently (I assume) attend. Once you’ve settled in your new home, you find another parish. Obviously, you’re still a part of the Catholic communion but just as obviously, you’re not part of the parish community you left. The same goes for the departed saints. Obviously, they’re part of the “communion of saints” but they’re not part of any Earthly community, since “community” connotes far more familiarity.

I don’t worry about whether the departed saints pray for me. If they can, I assume many are for various things. That’s their concern, not mine. I concern myself with how I’m following God’s leanings in this left.

      • Edwitness

        Good stuff Joseph D,
Apart from calling it necromancy, your’s is the best explanation of this I have seen.

        • Joseph d’hippolito

          Edwitness, thanks so much!

    • Terri

Jesus did not found th catholic chourch. Over 400 hundred years after Jesus was crucified Constantine converted and killed anyone who refused and there is both idol worship and Christian beliefs so more people would convert. The Roman church itself NEVER says Jesus founded the Roman Catholic church. Whwn they talk about the church in the new testament it means the body of Christ. Read the new testament. The rc is NEVER mentioned BUT it mentions 7 churches during that time. The Apostles started those 7 churches. Accepting the gift of salvation makes you part of the body of Christ. The rc church says ONLY roman catholics will go to heaven. Complete contradiction of the word of God. States in the Bible to compare the Bible against what people say and if one contradiction then that person, church, prophet ect than they are false and you should not listen to them and seek wisdom with the Word of God

  • Pamela

Straight from the pit of hell and evil to the core. Believers in Jesus Christ, the Royal Family of God, we are all saints.

  • Christene

Some quotes from the “shaman” Padre Pio of the “demonic” Catholic Church.

“Jesus is with you even when you don’t feel His presence. He is never so close to you as He is during your spiritual battles. He is always there, close to you, encouraging you to fight your battle courageously. He is there to ward off the enemy’s blows so that you may not be hurt.” (8/15/1914)

“The storms that are raging around you will turn out to be for God’s glory, your own merit, and the good of many souls.” (6/15/1914)

“Every sacrifice which your soul makes, every good is does is directed to God for the sanctification of all.” (4/2/1917)

“Don’t be daunted by the cross. The surest test of love consists in suffering for the loved one, and if God suffered so much for love, the pain we suffer for Him becomes as lovable as love itself.” (7/14/1914)

“True and substantial devotion consists in serving God without experiencing any sensible consolation. This means serving and loving God for His own sake.” (7/14/1914)

“The greater your sufferings, the greater God’s love for you.” (9/19/1914)

“He wants you entirely for Himself, He wants you to place all your trust and all your affection in Him alone and it is precisely for this reason that He send you this spiritual aridity, to unite you more closely to Him.” (7/14/1914)

“We have close to us an angelic spirit who never leaves us for an instant from the cradle to the grave, who guides and protects us like a friend or a brother.” (4/20/1915)

“You must have boundless faith in the divine goodness, for the victory is absolutely certain.” (5/25/1914)

“You complain because the same trials are constantly returning. But look here, what have you to fear? Are you afraid of the divine craftsman who wants to perfect His masterpiece in this way? Would you like to come from the hands of such a magnificent Artist as a mere sketch and no more?” (1/1/1921)

“When we suffer, Jesus is closer to us.” (4/2/1912)

“You say you are anxious about the future, but don’t you know that the Lord is with you always and that our enemy has no power over one who has resolved to belong entirely to Jesus?” (3/29/1914)

“I recommend calm and calm all the time.” (2/3/1922)

“How unbearable is pain when suffered far from the Cross, but how sweet and bearable it becomes when it is offered close to the Cross of Jesus!” (5/20/1915)

“If we earnestly endeavor to love Jesus, this alone will drive all fear from our hearts and soul will find that instead of walking in the Lord’s paths, it is flying.” (8/17/1913)

Tell me, Geoffrey, what will be quoted in your epithet from this travesty of a ” ministry”?? Repent now, before you lead any more souls astray with your hate-filled, demonic heresies. You will be held accountable for every soul lost.

    • Hey, maybe I will pour carbolic acid on my skin the way Pio did so I can fake the bleeding wounds of Jesus, too. Thanks for the great idea!

      • Carlos

Would you Put that acid for twenty years. If so you are true saint, because self inflicted suffering for that time makes good

        • I was a Catholic for 30 years, and yes we were taught to do the self-inflicted, pretend suffering of self-flagellation. The Catholic religion is based on Babylon creeds and rituals and not one bit upon Bible teaching.

after phari-seeing carlos question, I remembered the Pharisee’s & scribes always trying get the “GOT YA” question on JESUS.

I hope you don’t mind me putting in my opinion.

Such the abomination will better explain that while the US and Her Allies were hunting down Saddam Hussein for persecution and execution. Instead, Holy Spirits where showing me through visions and dreams how there was instead a world outcry for a Hussein to reign, so imagine how strange this seem, and this was after I by bible prophecy put a Hussein in the white house, 2003. So it was all uneasy until a Barack Hussein took this world lead, I mean. Truthfully, the things mankind worship and call it godliness, even divine, "ye are of your father, the devil, and the lust of him ye will do, he was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth, Jesus, Got Him? See Rom. 10:9, 10, Awake! Apb,

I would take issue with #2 and #6. There are others but these address them as well.

#2 Because we do not experience trials in order to gain merit. Merit is unnecessary because the Bible is clear that we are saved by grace through faith, and not by works. Though, being Catholic, it is not surprising that he would believe it does. Applicable to#14 as well.

#6 Because the extent of our suffering does not indicate a greater love for us than Jesus has for all who trust in Him. Applicable to #11 also

Is this idea the reason mother Teresa and others believe/d that those who are suffering should be allowed to experience it fully, instead of trying to help them out of it?

      What say you?

“Sainthood” is bestowed upon all saved believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Please see the opening greetings in the Epistles of the Apostle Paul.)

No man/woman is made a “saint” by the decree of a carnal organization that worships the dead and lifeless statues, as well as a religious organization that calls a lost sinner “holy father”. Only the God of heaven is worthy of that title. See(John 17:11).

Believers are not called “saints” because of wondrous works we do or have done; but rather we are “called to be saints” (Romans 1:7 and elsewhere) by the faith of Jesus Christ. Nothing any person can do outside of a biblical relationship with Jesus Christ will bring even the slightest merit to that person. Man can applaud and admire your works; You can have a building named after you or a holiday in your name, and even have people blindly slobbering over your rotting corpse in a glass box, hoping to get a miracle; But the true God will only laugh at the foolish and sorry efforts that are put forth.

And the “church” that Jesus established is absolutely NOT the “catholic” church or any denominational body. The church that Jesus established is not a carnal, political, and economic organization but rather a spiritual body, whose head is the Lord of Glory, Jesus Christ, and is led by the Holy Spirit all to the Glory of God the Father. Those who are truly saved understand this truth and we never, never put our hope, trust, obedience or devotion in our local “churches”.

“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” (Psalms 118:8)

Casey, Do you know Jesus Christ as your Saviour?

    • Skywatcher

Brother MIKE WATCHINSKI, that was well said, and right on with Scripture! We are ALL called to be saints! Praise the Lord! Only through Him…John 14: 6.

Christene, If you read the Bible, it will show you how demonic the Catholic Church is. They try always to take your eyes off Jesus by making Mary a co-redeemer, praying to the saints, confession to a priest that has no authority to forgive sins, only God can do that. They have even changed the 10 commandments by leaving out the second stating, “Thou shalt have no graven images” for obvious reasons. There are graven images in every catholic church. They have made the tenth commandment into two commandments by stating: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife and thou shalt not covet the neighbors goods.

So, was Pedro in purgatory until now? Kinda doesn’t add up to sound doctrine, does it? Unbelievable that so many people would fall for such a story, but as I Peter 5:8 says: Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Some make it easier for him than others.

It’s quite interesting reading some of these posts. So holier than thou and judgmental. If I remember correctly I believe we were told not to judge lest we be judged. Those claiming to be the holiest seem to be casting the largest stones. This group sounds like some middle eastern country where the Sunni’s hate the Shi’ite’s and and the Turks hate the Kurds and they all want to kill each other in the name of religion. I see the same thing here only the murders are committed using words and spreading hatred. Is this what Christ taught, to hate one another? I think not. So what if I don’t worship as you do or you as me? Is Jesus in our hearts and souls? Is He the one that salvation emanates from? I believe in God the Father Almighty and in Jesus Christ his only begotten son. Does anyone disagree with that? One of the most terrible things that can happen to Christ’s Church is for Christians to attack other Christians. That is not what Christ ordained. He said love one another note one another because they might pray somewhat different than you. Prayer is a conversation with God and I don’t believe God would appreciate us telling Him who and how to judge we mortals. We will all answer to the Lord one day and what excuse will be given Him for the manner by which we lived here?

    • Terri

Everybody misinterprets that verse. He is talking about hypocrites. gor instance if you commit adultery and then condemn a friend for doing the same. Read the entire verse not just the five words out of an entire verse. Christ expects his church to correct other members of the church and to follow the ways of Christ of course are not perfect and mistakes are made. The point is we follow Christ and not the world. When homosexuality is decried by Christians it is the act and not the person. Like if your child steals do you not say anything cause you do not want to judge? No you say something so they will learn difference between right and wrong. Of course maybe that is why kids are doing horrible things cause their parents are afraid to judge

      • Tusitala

        Thank you, Terri…THANK YOU…

      • The Catholic Church is not part of Biblical Christianity as it is a FALSE system.

    • Maryann Kussmaul

Al, If you were in a burning house, would you want someone to rescue you?

    • “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8).

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Proverbs 14:12).

“Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.” (Psalm 119:104).

“… Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.” (Romans 12:9).

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16).

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” (Galatians 6:1)

These verses tell that we are to hate false ways (not people), and the verses tell why: because false ways lead away from God. Christians furthermore are to reprove and correct errant persons with the Word of God, with gentleness in a spirit of love. We will not shirk this duty, despite the Left’s attempts to quell our freedoms of speech and religion with charges of judgmentalism / hate speech / intolerance / something-o-phobia. Recall also Jesus’ “intolerance” when he overturned the tables of the moneychangers in the temple and drove out the merchants and shoppers. (Matthew 21:12).

      • Skywatcher

Zhang Hong, you are so right! “…with gentleness in a spirit of love”. Not always easy to do though! 🙂 None of us like to be poked in the eye with a stick. Thanks for that Scripturally-based insight!

What you are saying, is that the Church, founded by God Himself, is into demon worship. Now, this is NOT true. We Catholics do not worship the relics of saints. We venerate them. What does this mean, you might ask? It means to show them respect. We ask them to help us to follow their example in how the followed Jesus. All Christians need to stop attacking each other for we are living in difficult times. Remember: you people who now call yourselves Evangelists are actually Protestants. You protested against the Church. Also remember, please, that following God’s will is not easy. On the contrary, it is quite difficult. Also be advised that all other forms of Christianity were founded by men and NOT by Jesus, in other words, NOT BY GOD HIMSELF. Padre Pio was an OUTSTANDING Saint. SIMPLY OUTSTANDING. Read about his life before you comment or make again such an outlandish comment that we Catholics “worship” saints or objects for that matter. Learn about Catholicism before you write something such as this article. Thank you and God bless!

    • Larry / vietnamvet1971

Excuse me for butting in BUT: We Catholics do not worship the relics of saints. We venerate them. What does this mean, you might ask? It means to show them respect. We ask them to help us to follow their example in how the followed Jesus.

What you are doing is an ABOMINATION against GOD

Are you SERIOUS with your comment? In other words you need the pope and ALL the other people running around to tell you how to follow JESUS, how about reading Saint Paul’s (Paul is a REAL SAINT)letters and learn from him straight from the Bible. I am a “Believer / Christian” I do not put a label of some religion on myself.

So keep Idol worshiping your Catholic form of Christianity.

    • carson

you could consider the whole idea of ‘looking to man’. So some say ‘he’s outstanding’! and lift him up (and him here could be anyone and often times those anyone’s rebuke being lifted up but that’s another subject), and lift them up to be more then they are.
Paul said (paraphrased) apart from Christ there is nothing good of me, romans 7. And what was paul before he was saved? a sinner? just like anyone before their saved? yep. That is paul and anyone/us all before we are saved. Then the goodness now..is of and in Christ and not of ourselves? yep Phil 3..a rightousness not mine own.
And over in john 1 we see ‘to as many as received Christ to them He gave power to become children of God’..along with the verses on Christ dwelling within us/a believer what does it mean or show? are we anything? when we were sinners dead in sins then made alive isn’t it God and Christ? If Christ lives within us now and we follow Him who gave the power to do so? John 1-God gave the power, it;’s still not and ever was OF ourselves. Empowered to do and follow is not a power of ourselves/from ourselves since in and of ourselves nothing good is of us, before we were saved we were not saved, were dead in sins and trespasses, were of the flesh born of adam sinners.

so holding up men, exulting them..what is it? We pay respect and honor to whom it’s due yes, but are men anything in and of themselves..holy? no, it’s Christ who dwells within and sure born again we are new creation but born again is not born into anything but what is not of ourselves, born again is born again in Christ not of ourselves.
So maybe consider just how far people go in venerating a man..do they go to far? yep. Many seem to ascribe something to some people which is not right at all even to the point of worship..horrible stuff!

Glorify God and not men, lift up the Lord and exult Him not a man, men without Christ are only dead in sins and trespasses..are not something more then they are, are not holy in and of themselves or something. Mary/women included.
Read a bible and check to see what menkind are in and of themselves and once born anew in Christ do they somehow then have it within themselves OF themselves to then be righteous of themselves? NO, it’s always Christ! Then flee from lifting menkind high up to were he ought not be.

  • Tusitala

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” 1 Timothy 2:5
If you kiss relics, kneel in front of statues, speak to the dead, and use vain, repetitious prayers, you are disobeying the inerrant Word of God, Jesus Christ Himself, Who speaks thru the scriptures. ALL of those practices are abominations before the Lord God and expressly forbidden in the Bible. I was a devout Catholic for over 50 years, but now I am born again, washed in the Blood, free at last, thank You, Jesus, for Your patience and mercy.

  • Heather

So glad I do not belong to ANY religion! I belong to Jesus, born again in The Spirit, saved by His sacrifice on the cross through His precious blood! Such a wonderful and beautiful free gift from God!

    • Bryan

Amen Heather. All world religions are lies of the devil. Only Jesus saves. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me. Jesus freed us from religion.

  • carson

sad stuff they do…will they not see..will they not see.
    Some say..I believe in Jesus..
and then run off and pray to ‘Jesus’ along with several others who are thought to be co-mediators and even co-redeemers..! ouch.
So just like with the inter-faith ‘Jesus’ who somehow can stand side by side with those who worship baal (or any of the many idols out there), is this ‘Jesus’ who is co-whatever along with others a different ‘Jesus’?, yep.
The bible has verses which talk of those who think to mix dark with light/Jesus with idol worshipers along with verses which talk about those who have ‘another’ Jesus..beware of the things afoot out there in the world today. Many of these things are simply old cultic practices simply brought forth into the modern ages.
    2nd cor 6:14-18, 2nd cor 11:4-

and keep in mind also anyone can read or speak straight out of the bible word for word verses…then close it and do otherwise as a practice and teach other then what is written as a practice. Often you’ll see it with politico’s in quest to get votes but it’s seen in religions fixed upon the world also.

  • Carlos

The rebel spirit of the protestant clouds their vision, good is bad and bad is good, blind guiding blinds. Rebeldy can not come from the holly spirit it can on ley come from satan, that spirit is Luthers will for you.

  • dean

I was on vacation in Arizona several years ago and there was a church in the Tucson area that had a “saint” on display in a similar glass coffin. People would line up outside the door in long lines and come in procession just to touch it as they passed by. I wasn’t saved then but now that I look back on it, I realize how unholy and disgusting the whole thing was. Make no mistake, Francis doesn’t care who you worship. It could be allah, shiva, buddha or the devil himself, it doesn’t matter, as long as you crouch down and kiss his ring and call him “holy father”. They can all pray to the queen of heaven (ashteroth) together.

  • Carlos

Hello Dean, in fact a true Christian should not worship other human beimgs, but we can learn from the lives of others, father Pío was greatly critized through all his life insiste the Church, he was mocked by other priests And the vatican, God gave him gifts that were dificult to understand, the devil atacked him daily even fisically. His life was very dificult, but he never stopped loving Jesus, his love for Jesus only increased with his sufferings.

    • Skywatcher

Carlos, you have me a bit puzzled. If you’re a born again child of God (Christian) why are you so hellbent to defend this corpse? He may have been a good and righteous man and then again, he might not have been such at all. What were his heart’s motives? Do you know? Did you know him personally? If he truly loved the Lord as you like to present here, then do you believe for one second he’d be in favor of you elevating him in such a manner? Do you seriously believe he’d be wanting people to be kissing the old box his rotten and decayed body is in? Do you honestly believe he would want them to be praying to his lifeless body? Do you think he would want to be robbing Christ of His deity in this ugly and very demoralizing manner? If this man could come back to life, knowing what he knows now, do you think he’d encourage you to call him father, when he knows Christ commanded us to “call no man father”?

Are you truly saved and delivered from Roman Catholicism, and serving Jesus Christ, or are you saved and still serving the man-made idols and disobeying God’s Word by elevating the dead, etc.? I don’t say that to be mean; I’m really curious and want to know. Because, my friend, you cannot be sitting on the fence…paying reverence and homage to a dead corpse on one hand and then crossing yourself and ritualistically serving God with good deeds and accolades on the other hand…It just doesn’t total up real well!

I have a sister who was killed in a car crash at the age of 19. She was a very sweet and funny person to be around, and I loved her as only a brother could. Should I go dig her rotted body up, make up a phony face for her and then pray to her? Can she hear me? Is she capable of doing anything with my prayers? OR…should I just leave her buried and allow God to exalt her in due time? I’m sure He can do a much better job of it than I can. He can elevate her to places of honor that I could never dream of.

As a child growing up, the VERY LAST thing I EVER wanted to see was a dead body, especially one that has been allowed to rot in the ground for a number of years! How sick is that! Catholics worship the dead and ignore the commands of the living Savior. Shame on people who do this!

Let’s hear you give some of the same veneration and adulation to the One who TRULY deserves it, Jesus Christ!

What have you learned from this mere mortal man that you could NOT have learned from Jesus, simply by reading His Word, trusting and obeying Him? Methinks you put way too much trust in man and not enough in God. Do as Jesus said, “Let the dead bury their dead” (Mt. 8: 22; Lu. 9: 60), and stop robbing God of the glory that is rightfully His! He think He foresaw the RC “church” and a few others when He spoke those words.

Get on with the Father’s business, witnessing about God’s love, grace, mercy, and saving favor to LIVING people, which is only possible through the risen Savior, Jesus Christ, John 14: 6! Lead souls to the Savior; let the corpses lie. You should be discouraging people from doing these necromantic rituals, and encouraging them to get into God’s Word for themselves, to see what is so wrong about this…and many other things they’ve so willingly given themselves over to.

      • Carlos

Hello skywalker thank you for calling me friend, I don’t have many, I am an alcoholic and through all my life I made serious mistakes and sins some of them really discusting, a decade ago I have a very serious car accident while being drunk. Till now I don’t know how I lived, my face And head had to be reconstructed. Exactly one year at the same hour I had an spiritual experience And start to reconcile with my lord Jesús Christ And saw things deferently thats when the love for the Church of my parents started And I can tell you being reborn And rebaptized are different things, because the Holly spirit only comes once through bsptism.

        • Skywatcher

Carlos, thank you, for sharing your testimony with me. It helps me to understand where you’re coming from in your comments, and also, where you’re at in your relationship with Christ. I’m going to have to send this in two parts, as Securi Website Firewall won’t post it in its entirety.

I’m sorry you don’t have many friends; to be truthful, most of us don’t have many friends these days. As the more difficult days approach, we will find that many of those whom we thought were our friends REALLY WERE NOT! If we lived closer, I’m sure we could be friends, and I could help you in your faith walk. For now, this will have to suffice! We can both thank God for Geoffrey, who made this all possible! Thank you, Geoffrey, for your trust in Christ, and willingness to obey Him in this calling! 🙂

We have all sinned and made mistakes Carlos, and we have ALL come short of God’s glory, Rom. 3: 23. Not one of us can keep to His high standards without Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and Lord. He was the only One Who could! I’m sure you know what “Savior” means, but do you know what “Lord” means? It means that we surrender our TOTAL life to Him, making Him our Master. It means we give Him EVERY room of our “house” (the body/temple) that we live in,(I Cor. 3: 16, 17; 6: 19). That includes every little closet where we are tempted to “hide” things that we know displease God and man. We give Him ALL of our house! He cannot clean it all out if we only give Him a part of it! 🙂 He demands all of it! I don’t know about you, but I love living in a clean house! My fellowship with Him is so much better when there is no “dirt” in the way! A clean conscience and a pure heart before God is totally awesome! Only He can make it perfectly clean. See Isaiah 1: 18-20,

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.”

It requires the blood of Jesus, my friend, and not praying to some dead corpse, praying Novenas, paying penance, a time in purgatory, praying to Mary, using a Rosary, etc. etc.. It ONLY requires the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Even as Christians, Carlos, we still sin, but because of our love and devotion to our Savior, we should sin less! As we surrender our lives to Him at the beginning of the day, asking for strength and guidance from Himself, we can walk in confidence and boldness of the Holy Spirit. In Eph. 6: 10, we are commanded to “be strong in the Lord, and in the power of HIS might.” We can only be strong in the Lord when we are IN Him! We cannot be in Christ until we have invited Him into our lives to be our personal Savior and Lord.

In John’s Gospel, chp. 15, we see that our relationship to God is like that of a vine and its branches. Christ is the True vine, and we are the branches. The branch cannot survive without the main vine, which supplies the nourishment and water that it needs to grow. The water is the water of God’s Word and the Holy Spirit. God the Father, is called the husbandman, or caretaker of the vine. He will make sure (as we let Him), that we grow up to be strong and productive vines, bearing much fruit for Him. We cannot do that if we are not in the True Vine, Jesus Christ.

We cannot be strong healthy “vines” in Christ’s vineyard if we’re drinking poisoned water from unholy springs. We cannot and MUST NOT be taking in spiritual food from contaminated sources and expect to be spiritually strong and healthy! Drink enough muddy water and you’ll be putting out kidney stones the size of marbles, built like sea urchins…with spines on every side, a very painful experience!

The Roman Catholic Church has been pouring toxic muddy water into its congregations for centuries and billions of these dear and precious folk have been going into a Christless eternity because they were not taught that they needed to be grafted into the True Vine. They have NOT been taught what God’s Word teaches; they’ve been teaching them things that oppose God’s Word; things that weaken the sheep until it finally becomes so spiritually numb and dead, that it cannot receive the truth of God’s Word. It has become so brainwashed, manipulated, and controlled that it cannot make its own decisions. They are only given a little truth, wrapped in a huge lie to work with, and it doesn’t work. A little truth, told with a little lie is still a huge lie! I share these things with you, Carlos, because you’re my friend, and I care about you and your eternal destiny! I WANT to meet you in Heaven when the time comes! I want to see you with your brand new body, and to hear you say, “Hey man! Thank you, for helping me to see my way out of a cult and into the everlasting loving arms of the Lord Jesus Christ!” Won’t that be something!!! Where did that come from? you may ask. Right from St. Paul:

Phil. 3: 2, 3, “Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” v. 17,
“Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. 18. For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20. For our conversation (conduct) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”

Stay tuned for Pt. 2 It gets better! 🙂

          • Carlos

Hello Skywalker, when we are baptized we are granted the tittle of adopted sons of God, when a father does that, it is once And for life, thats why the catholic church doesn’t rebaptize protestants when they join our church, we only baptize Jews, muslims or others that didn’t have a previous baptism.

        • Skywatcher

          Pt. 2

Carlos, in Eph.6:11-18, we are given further instructions for a successful and victorious life in Christ. Make sure you do this…ONLY IF you’re a branch in the True Vine, otherwise, you’ll be powerless!

Carlos, you said, “Exactly one year at the same hour I had an spiritual experience And start to reconcile with my lord Jesús Christ And saw things deferently thats when the love for the Church of my parents started”

That comment has me very concerned for you, Carlos. I believe I have shared these things with you already a few weeks ago. Is it the “love for the Church” or the love of the Lord Jesus Christ that has your heart? It must be the latter! The “Church” can NEVER get you a seat in heavenly places! ONLY Christ can extend a personal invitation to you for that privilege.

The Roman Catholic Church is a man-made institution. Your first love must be the Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator, who died, taking your sins upon Himself, personally paying the penalty for YOUR sins and MINE, making atonement for us! He is the ONLY ONE who can make a way for you to go to Heaven. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh to the Father but by me.” John 14: 6

If you cannot remember a time that you personally asked Him to forgive you of your sins, and to come into your life, and to reside in your body, then you have NOT been born again. Jesus commanded us in John 3: 5, 7, to be born again, and if we aren’t, we will NEVER see the kingdom of Heaven. It’s just that plain and simple!

He wants all of you, Carlos! He wants your alcoholism and its struggles, ALL of it! He wants the hurts, the pains, and the sorrow that you carry as a result of this weakness. I Peter 5: 7 tells us to cast all our cares upon Him (Christ), not the Church or some dead person. Why? Because JESUS cares for us! The word “cast” means to throw; THROW those sins that easily beset you upon His strong shoulders, and don’t be reeling them back in to yourself! You throw your sins and weaknesses at Him, ask Him to deal them, turn around, leave them there, and DO NOT look back! The only time you can look back at them is when you’re giving a testimony to others, declaring how the Lord took them away from you, giving you the victory over them! That will bring glory and honor to His mighty and matchless name! He wants to do that for you! Aren’t you a bit tired of carrying that miserable load around from one day to the next? Throw it, Carlos! Be done with it! Shake that monkey off your neck! Drown him in the blood of Jesus Christ and walk away with your head held high, thanking Him as never before!

I’m convinced…Christians and others struggle needlessly! They foolishly go up to a church altar, giving God their sins and weaknesses, and before they get out the door of the building, they have gone back and taken them out of His hands before He even has a chance to heal or to restore! WE HAVE NO BUSINESS TO BE TAKING BACK FROM THE GOD OF THE UNIVERSE THAT WHICH WE HAVE GIVEN TO HIM!

There is no such thing as “starting to reconcile” with Christ, my friend. That means it’s not finished! On the cross of Calvary, Jesus cried out, “It is finished”. You can have His whole plan of redemption made alive in your life! I believe you need to do business with the Master! It is all or not at all. You do it once and for all, just as He died once and for all for the sins of the world. Maybe you phrased it incorrectly. Maybe you meant, that’s when your personal journey with Christ began. Please correct me if I misunderstood. REMEMBER…NO journey with Christ starts until you’ve asked His forgiveness of your sins, invited Him to live in residence within your temple, and have COMMITTED to living for Him.

I must gently correct you on something you said, “…the Holly spirit only comes once through bsptism.”

Are you referring to baptism in water or to the infilling of the Holy Spirit? When you received Christ as personal Savior, the Holy Spirit came to live within you, baptism in water was NOT required. He has promised that He will never leave or forsake you, Heb. 13:5.

Having said that, I believe there can come a time when He will leave us, but after He has tried NUMEROUS times to reach us over and over as we CHOOSE to walk away from Him, fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. He won’t let us go without a “fight”! He will prick our conscience more than once, trying to get us to repent of our sins and to come back into proper relationship with Him. Romans 1: 28, tells us that there is a point in which He will turn us over to our desires and give us over to a reprobate mind. We have in effect, with our desires and choices, driven Him away. The Holy Spirit is a perfect Gentleman; He will never force Himself upon you or anybody else. However, He will not stay where He is not welcome; He will leave, but like I already said, “not without a fight”. Be very careful that you don’t take Him to places or do things in His Presence that will make Him feel uncomfortable. If you do, He’ll be the FIRST to let you know!

As a born again Christian, you will still make mistakes! Merciful! I make mistakes on here, and sometimes, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ have to bring them to my attention, and to help me to see the errors, with love, grace, and mercy! That’s what we’re called to do. We are supposed to receive that correction with the same love and grace in which it was given. Failure to do so, is the result of pride and a rebellious attitude/spirit. See Proverbs 16: 18, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”

So, Carlos, tell me more about yourself! Can you remember when you invited Jesus Christ, the Lord of Glory into your life? What day, month, year? How old were you when this happened? I was 7 years old when I recognized my need of the Savior. I knew then, that without Him, I was in for serious trouble, in this life and in the next! Tell my more, my friend! 🙂

      • Edwitness

An excellent way to present the fallacy that is the Catholic veneration(worship) of the dead. Ask the question, then give the Biblical answer that delivers from the idols. I’m not sure either of Carlos’ motivation, but what you encouraged him to do will help erase any confusion he might still have in the matter.

    • dean

I find that hard to believe he was persecuted because the Catholic Church buys into this sort of thing. I understand there is even a statue of the Virgin Mary that squirts breast milk. The Catholic Church eats this sort of thing up.

  • Carlos

Father Pio left a peophecy for the end of times, he talked about how bad things will go for the catholic church, he talked about three days of darkness in which hell will break loose.

  • Char

Carlos, when Father Pio gave his prophecy to the people, did he back it up with any scripture, as in “three days of darkness in which hell will break loose?” Just curious…..

    • Caelos

Hello Char every thing a catholic saint says or recomend has to be in order with scripture, I am sure there is in this case but I cannot tell you where. Maybe you can look for it. When he said that hell will break loose it is literally devils And lost souls comming out.

    • Carlos

Just to add he didn’t give this prophecy to the people he gave it only to a friend And was written in a diary.

I was a practicing Catholic for 40+ years, taught the Catechism (aka CCD), and raised my kids in the faith. There were things I really loved about the church and some things I just could not accept when compared to the bible, which I believe is the Word of Truth. I honestly think the average parishioner is a God-fearing, devout person who was taught not to question anything and doesn’t know that some of the things they’ve been taught are pagan. It’s the powerful clergy and the extra-biblical teachings that give me trouble.

There is a Catholic prophesy that, in the end times, there would be a great schism in the church, and I think Pope Francis might be at the center of it. There is supposed to be the true pope (Benedict?) and the false pope through an invalid election (Francis?) Many of the clergy are against this New Age, Gaia-loving, Jesuit pope, so it’s possible that the wheat & tares of the Catholic church will be separated–those who truly believe Jesus is their only way to salvation and those who believe it comes from works. If you google Catholic eschatology, you’ll find prophesy that the destruction of the RCC will come from within. Some say Francis is the AC or the False Prophet, while others say he is too old. I haven’t read Thomas Horn & Cris Putnum’s “Petrus Romanus” or “Exo Vaticana” but have read articles and viewed interviews with them that discuss the topics. They discuss Malachi’s prophecy of 112 popes (Francis being the 112th) and their prediction a year in advance to the day that Benedict would retire. I think Francis’ parents were of Italian heritage, so he could be “Peter of Rome” in that sense. He’s certainly said & done some questionable things. Even Evangelicals are fawning all over him, saying how meek and humble he is, but how do we know it’s not just an act?

Also, next year is 100 years since the Mary apparitions in Fatima. I’ve read (here, I believe) that the 3rd secret of Fatima was wrongly or only partially revealed–that it wasn’t the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II but a coming carnage in the streets and a “man robed in white” (pope?) kneeling in front of a cross, bleeding. Maybe that will be when the FP arrives on the scene. Francis has said he thought he might die in office and he was ok with it but just hoped “it won’t hurt.” ISIS has made threats against the Vatican; maybe that’s why he tries to appease Muslim clerics and says we all pray to the same God.

I’m not stating that I believe these prophesies, and some might say they’re not biblical and may even be heretical. However, I do find it interesting how things are lining up. As for Mary, she herself knew she needed a savior and she is not the co-redeemer with Christ, even though Francis said she is the mother of the forgiveness of sins. The apparitions could have been her, but we also know that the devil can appear as a angel of light. What if it was a huge delusion to get people off-track? What if that is Francis’ purpose? Why would she tell people to pray for the conversion of Russia, when anyone who knows their bible know of the coming Gog/Magog war that has to happen?
I think the rosary is wrong, where there are 50 prayers to her & only 5 Lord’s Prayers. A 15-decade rosary, with all the mysteries, has 150 prayers to her and only 15 Lord’s Prayers. She didn’t die on the Cross for us, and we don’t need her to intervene for us (nowhere in the bible)since the curtain was rent in two and we can now go “boldly before the throne of grace.” St. Jude’s healing power is a great concept, and yes, I know the apostles healed people–through the power of God, but honestly, why not just pray to God? Also, I don’t need St. Anthony to help me find lost things. I’m not being snarky; I really think the saints were used to replace the pagan deities, as were holy days.

Sadly, the RCC has been more about tradition and obedience to the hierarchy than in reading the bible, like the Bereans, to test things and see if they are true. The Catechism is like 3x the size of the bible, which ought to give us a clue. It is filled with rules and regulations that are nowhere in the bible. For more than 400 years the bible was kept from the people and many were burned at the stake for reading it. (Possibly b/c they didn’t want people knowing about Revelation’s Whore of Babylon & the city of 7 hills?) There are Catholics today who believe that only the priests/bishops should interpret it, and that is dangerous. Most don’t know that the Catholic 10 Commandments are different than what’s written in the bible, b/c they took out the “make no graven image” 2nd Commandment to be able to have statues to venerate, and split the “thou shalt not covet” commandment into 2 (wife/goods). I no longer believe in Masses for the dead–you must accept Christ while you’re living–and there is no purgatory or limbo mentioned anywhere in the bible. Indulgences and masses are money-makers for the church. During the Crusades, knights were given indulgences to rape and plunder as long as they fought for the church, and people lined up to pay for indulgences so they could freely sin and just pay a fine. No brownie points on God’s score card; you either accept His plan for salvation or perish.

I think most denominations have a level of faith in the Lord but also some really out-there things that are exta-biblical and dangerous. We all like to think we’re right, but attacking each other does no good, and if our faith is of the “one, true church,” it doesn’t need us to defend it. I believe Christ’s church are the people who admit they are a sinner and ask Him into their hearts as their personal Lord and Savior.

2 really good sites by former Catholics:
http://www.proclaimingthegospel.org is written by Mike Gendron. Lots of links and articles. You’ll be amazed at what the RCC considers anathema!

http://www.bereanbeacon.org is by former priest Richard Bennett, who was only exposed to “select” teachings from the bible and walked away when he read the real thing.

I love my Catholic family and I love everyone here. I never mean to hurt anyone. I pray the Holy Spirit will convict each person of the Truth and that each would grow in their relationship (not religion) with Jesus.

    • Edwitness

The reason the Pope says Muslims worship the same God as the Catholic’s is because that is what the catechism says.
841 The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”

It is such a blessing to know that you have found the truth in Jesus and His word, the Bible. The Catholic religion is a monster. It will take anyone to hell who is caught in it’s tentacles.

      Blessings to you :-}

    • Skywatcher

DC, thank you SO much for that very beautiful and enlightening testimony! I trust it will speak to the hearts of many DEAR R.C. people as they read it. One’s immortal soul is the most precious gift that they have, and it needs to be treated with the same kind of respect by receiving Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord for safe keeping, as you have stated!

I’m so glad you’re my sibling in Christ! I don’t know if you’re a guy or not, so I’ll just say “sibling”! 🙂

I have the book by Thomas Horn and Cris Putnam that you mentioned, “Exo-Vaticana” and I STRONGLY encourage/recommend that you pay a FEW dollars and get it! They also deal with the Fatima and expose how the Vatican brought the sisters in and had them change their story to meet the pope’s agenda! They cover it at length and a WHOLE LOT MORE that serious Christians NEED to know! Let me WARN you…one cannot put this book down and walk away from it! It is compelling, to say the least! They deal with Area 51 and a host of other things that are going on behind closed government doors!

God has definitely raised these men up for such a time as this!!! The book is over 600 pages, and worth its weight in platinum! I believe it’s less than $20 US; excellent value for one’s money! It’s very well researched and documented! MIGHTY SERIOUS stuff in there! I believe you can get it from Amazon or Prophecy in the News.com. Ebay may also carry it. I got mine from PITN, along with “Petrus Romanus”, which I haven’t read yet. The book is the same size!

You said, “I love my Catholic family and I love everyone here. I never mean to hurt anyone. I pray the Holy Spirit will convict each person of the Truth and that each would grow in their relationship (not religion) with Jesus.”

Did you face much opposition by your parents, friends, etc. when you came out of “her”? Were they kind or cruel? Understanding and with you, or misunderstanding and against you?

AMEN! We love them too! Perhaps our passion for them comes out as “intolerance”, “hatred”, etc., but it’s really our deep-seated love and concern for them! Thank you, DC! And may God continue to richly bless you with souls to minister to, in truth and love!

      • Carlos

Hello Skywalker, the catholic church is not the vatican or the priests, they are only a small part of it, it is compossed of billions of people And each one of us has its part. When you condemn the church you are condemning everybody to an eternal life in hell just because of preconceived ideas that you heard over And over through your life, a lot of the things you say we do or teach are just not true. Please don’t send us to hell have mercy.

        • Edwitness

Do you believe that the priests and the magistereum are the only ones who are able to interpret scripture?

          • Carlos

Hello Edwitness, the catholic church promoted not to read the bible by yourself thinking maybe the devil could misguide you in to an interpretension diferent as te one it intended to, but in the 60’s there was a concilium, that gathers all bishops from all over the world to change things, sadly as it looks They decided to let everyone read the bible and interpret it by them selfs, the devil entered the church through that concilium and very bad things started to happen. For example I am in a group called the night worshippers, we gather at night to pray once a month all night in front of the Holly Sacrament, once there were more than a hundred men worshipping now we are only 6. People this days don’t believe in simple manifestations of God’s love They want to see miracles, feel deep emotions or watch possesions. The simple loving Christian of the past is desapearing.

        • Skywatcher

Carlos, no human can send anybody to Hell, especially me, and that is not my heart’s desire! It is actually just the opposite…to educate and to prevent them from following through on the disastrous destination they are headed to. The bridge is out up ahead! Christ is the bridge, and without Him, you will fall into the abyss. I can’t send you to Hell anymore than you can send me to Heaven! We EACH CHOOSE where we spend eternity.

Water baptism doesn’t guarantee a place in Heaven anymore than eating a pork chop makes you a chef. I don’t condemn the people, nor does anybody else on this site. We condemn the evil institution that is misleading people into Hell; the people are condemned already because they choose to pledge their allegiance/loyalty to an institution and NOT to the Savior who died for them. This is VERY serious business. I’ve seen and heard plenty from former Catholics that YOU nor anybody else will EVER convince me that what I know of Roman Catholicism isn’t true. You’re not fooling this old sled dog! I’ve shared the gospel with you before, using the Holy Bible, spelling it out for you and then suddenly, you turn like this.

You need to get yourself a Holy Bible and get your nose deep into it, especially the New Testament! Currently, you’re as much alive in Christ as a dead man’s bones. Come to Christ and be saved!

Do you have a bi-polar disorder? Sometimes you type very good and other times, you type with broken English or errors. Are you playing two roles and just leading us on, making a game of a very serious issue? Come clean, man!

          • Carlos

Hello skywatcher, sorry flor my english I have a problem that my ipad tries to correct everything I type and some times I don’t see the things it changes. As I said you are not only condemning the catholics of this time but also the ones that existed before Luther, remember your ancestors, I think we should respect them a little more.

        • Edwitness

If I’m hearing you correctly, it seems you don’t believe that God wants to reveal His word to you personally. Is that right? Are you saying that you would rather have a man tell you what to believe than to have the Holy Spirit teaching you? Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to live in you and teach you all that pertains to life and godliness. Why would you reject that?

And what makes you think the devil isn’t showing the Catholic religion what to believe? The only way to know your interpretation is correct is that it agrees with the whole counsel of the Bible. Preferably the KJV. And Catholicism does not do that. They believe instead in their traditions.

What you need to do is read your KJV Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the truth that is in God’s word. Do not trust in the traditions of men. TRUST GOD. The Catholic religion is the woman riding the beast in Revelation 17. Flee from the harlot. She can show you nothing of value for being a Christian.

Skywatcher is right, that you need to love Jesus Christ instead of the harlot religion that is Roman Catholicism.

          • Carlos

It is easier for the devil to take on a single guy or a team of wacos then an entire, unified army of christians. Don’t you think?

        • Skywatcher

Carlos, for your convenience and that of all others, I’m going to cut and paste your last comment here, seeing you did NOT click “Notify me of follow-up comments…”

You said, “Hello skywatcher, sorry flor my english I have a problem that my ipad tries to correct everything I type and some times I don’t see the things it changes. As I said you are not only condemning the catholics of this time but also the ones that existed before Luther, remember your ancestors, I think we should respect them a little more.”

You said, “…some times I don’t see the things it changes.” Let me remind you…you’re not even seeing the things that I’m posting to you! I made it abundantly clear that I do not hate or condemn the RC people! What part of that do you not understand? Why do you insist on fighting about this matter? I condemn the INSTITUTION that God did NOT raise up. Why do you not get this? Has Satan so blinded your eyes?

You also said, “…remember your ancestors, I think we should respect them a little more.” I’m so glad you said that, because I AM remembering my ancestors! The very ones the Vatican had tortured and put to death because they chose to listen to and obey the Word of God! You might want to remember…some of them were also YOUR ancestors…on both sides of that equation.

Are you in favor of murder, Carlos? Outright cold-blooded murder, Carlos? I ask you that for a good reason! You might want to go online and check out the vow that the pope has to make and swear allegiance to! It states that he must KILL all infidels…anybody who is NOT a member of the “Roman Catholic Church”! Sounds as hideous and mean-spirited as Islam, doesn’t it?! For anyone else who doesn’t believe me, check out these links or go online and find the real thing in print! Downright Hellish and abominable!

Please allow me to warn you, Carlos, and other readers, I have borrowed the following info from the Seventh Day Adventists, which I TOTALLY OPPOSE on important matters of doctrine. However, there are times when God will use Satan’s stones to glorify Himself, and this is one of those times.

For new readers on this site, PLEASE DO NOT listen to OR WATCH any of his other videos unless you are STRONG in the Word! He speaks heresy and false doctrine ever so smoothly, and one can get seriously confused in short order! The SDA’s are having internal issues and a huge falling away…not a bad thing, if they’re coming to the real Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible.

Having said that, Doug is DEAD ON with his Church History and research on the Vatican! He is very easy to listen to and to follow along with. It is interesting to note, that he has been marginalized, cut out of ministering in ANY SDA churches recently. Carlos, take a few minutes of your time and see your LEADER exposed as antichristian. This info is from your own Vatican and cannot be denied.

          • Carlos

Skywatcher, do you really believe that crap? Have you seen or heard that in your lifetime someone has been killed by the catholic church? Those lies are a result of your urge for self justification for not being ovedient and follow a rebel spirit.

  • DC

Edwitness, thanks for sharing that. I still have a copy of the catechism somewhere, but it’s too scary to read! The pope has even said that atheists can get to Heaven if they are good, moral people. And they say he’s infallible! Not.

Skywatcher, you must go to skywatchtv.com, prophecyinthenews.com, and prophecywatcher.com because that’s where I learned so much about Tom, Cris, and so many others. Some of the stuff is scary, like transhumanism, Nephilim, and aliens (delusion–the RCC has an observatory in AZ named Lucifer of all things, watching for who knows what?) Did you see where Tom and Cris talked to the Native Americans and when they were out on a hill they videoed an orb floating around them. Yikes. So many people are going to be caught unaware, it’s painful to think about.

My parents gave all of us unconditional love, even when I went through 2 divorces, after being the daughter they never worried about (yes, I’m a girl!). I did all the right things, and, as I said above, even taught CCD. (Oh, how burned up are our works!)They were disappointed more FOR me than IN me. My brother was happy, b/c he was the black sheep until then. haha. They never rejected him, either. You know how God works all things out for good? Well, it was during those painful years that I questioned everything, really started reading the bible, and my faith grew exponentially. His Grace is Awesome!

My dad is gone now, but my mom and one brother are still pretty active in the Catholic church. I’ve been slowly building my case for salvation through Jesus and only Jesus with my mom, and have told her a lot of things she never knew. They weren’t allowed to read the bible. The nuns and priests had so much power over them. They were intimidated into obedience and didn’t dare question anything. My dad was left-handed and the nuns beat him with a ruler b/c it’s considered the devil’s hand! My name is my parents’ 2nd choice because their 1st choice wasn’t the name of a saint and it didn’t look like the priest would baptize me. After Vatican II, they named my sister that original name, and no, she isn’t the favorite; my other brother is. haha. family joke. My cousin, a priest, refused to baptize my niece b/c she was born out-of-wedlock and “fired” one brother from altar serving b/c he had longer hair (mullet–so 80s!) I brought up some of these things when my mom was just here, and she said I gave her a lot to think about, some of which I listed in earlier post. I told her my dad’s not in purgatory and how Jesus told the thief on the cross he’d be with Him “this day in Paradise,” not in some warped time-out created by the RCC. It helped that it was during a long drive and she couldn’t escape. Imagine an older lady with a hip replacement trying to drop and roll out of the car when I’m doing 80! Seriously, I try to give it to her in little doses and let the Holy Spirit take over. She could easily call me a hypocrite because I’m divorced/remarried but there’s nothing like the testimony of a reformed sinner, at least I hope so.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words. I’ve only just started commenting here after several years of following the blog, and you are always a positive, encouraging “sibling.” As they say on PITN, “Keep looking up!”

    • Skywatcher

WOW!!! DC, what a privilege it is to have another sister in Christ! That was an awesome testimony! Christ came to minister to the sick and broken, and He’s done a mighty wonderful job in your restoration! Praise His mighty name!
Thank you, for sharing about your family dynamics and how God is using you to reach out to them with the truth!

You made me laugh right out loud when you said, “It helped that it was during a long drive and she couldn’t escape. Imagine an older lady with a hip replacement trying to drop and roll out of the car when I’m doing 80!” I love your ministry style…a captive audience and small doses at a time!

I’ll bet your brother the former “black sheep” is quite the card too! You’ve got a great sense of humor, and it’s a wonder vehicle to carry the gospel in. So many people are hurting, stressed out, fearful, and lonely. Humor can penetrate when sometimes love just doesn’t do it. Continue to keep up the great ministry!

I pray for all whom I “speak” to online, and I’ll be praying for your family’s salvation! Thank you, so much, for letting us have a peek into your personal life! God is so wonderfully good! I believe your mom is going to come to Christ in the near future! I anticipate a posting to that effect! God bless you, Sis, as you rightly divide and minister the truth of God’s Word to your family and others! Your loving brother in Christ, Skywatcher 🙂

  • DC

Carlos, I just read your post. You seem like a very nice person, and I’m sorry for the personal pain you have gone through. As I just gave in testimony, I’ve had a lot of self-inflicted pain myself. I am also sorry if you think anyone is condemning Catholics to hell. Maybe you are one of the ones that are more evangelical than those who put their faith in works and some very pagan practices. Most Catholics don’t know half of what’s in the catechism. There were things taught that just aren’t true, one very important teaching being when they thought they replaced the Jews as God’s chosen people. Like Obama who thinks if he tells a lie enough times people will believe it, popes taught that the RCC was the only way to heaven, the pope is infallible (can do no wrong), and killed anyone who dared try to find out what’s really in the bible. If your teacher taught you 2+2=5 and never let you see your math book, you’d believe it. Then one day you read it actually =4, and you are punished for looking it up. Don’t you think there might be other lies you were told?

The websites I cited earlier are of former priests and nuns who also thought they were doing everything right until they really read the bible. I think missionaries brought a lot of people to salvation in Christ, and there are some really devout people in the church. However, a lot of the rites are pagan, and somewhere along the line they got off track and it became more about “earning” salvation through works than about Jesus. I encourage you to do a little research, compare the catechism to a King James bible, and ask the Holy Spirit to convict you of the Truth. You have a heart to witness. Keep it up!

    • Carlos

Hello DC, you seem like a nice person yourself, I am sorry that my beloved church wasn’t what you wanted or needed, in my case I only liked her when I knew her, and sorry for me I think I started late in my life, te best way to know the catholic church is to read the lives of the saints, I recomend that very much, you can start by the saint that had your name, in fact catholic or not reading the lives of the saints makes us more sensible to our Lord.

  • Holly kimrey

Look up the life of Padre Pio, understand his life, understand the Catholic Religion before you make judgment. My uncle came back from Vietnam unharmed as written by Padre Pio. But my grandmother’s friends son was not so fortunate. He would come home missing a limb and he did.

    • So you’re saying that Pio was a psychic, that he could see the future? That’s prohibited in the Bible!

“If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deuteronomy 13:1-3 (KJV)

      • Carlos

Yes Geofry thats what the priests in Rome said for years about father Pío, but if God grants you a gift, would you hide it so you don’t get mucked.

        • Edwitness

That would be true if you are an army of Christians. But, that is the point. Catholicism is not Christian. It is pagan. Catholicism received it’s power and ceremonies and traditions from the Roman Empire. And they were strictly pagan. This one passage of scripture should be enough for anyone wanting to know the truth, to run away from Catholicism.

1stTim.4:1-3; “Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of Devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats…..”

You know these are doctrines in Catholicism. So why are you still there adhering to and practicing these doctrines of devils if you are truly a Christian?

          • Carlos

Bello Edwitness, I think that passage of the bible aplies perfectly, leasing the true faith and receiving a rebel spirit instead of the Holly., thats protestantism.

          • Skywatcher

My dear brother Edwitness…we’ve done this dance before with Carlos. It’s a game he likes to come out to play every so often. It’s time for us to get off that dead horse and find a live one to ride, somebody who REALLY wants to know the truth, and is willing to look to God’s Word for it. We and others have wasted numerous hours trying to reach this one, casting our pearls…and wasting valuable time that somebody else really needs. Apostle Paul has told us in Eph. 5: 16, “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

            Blessings, Bro!

  • Char

Geoffrey, what do you think of the late John Paul Jackson and his dream interpretations? He had a regular show and he also guested on Daystar channel quite a bit. I kinda didn’t put much stock into it, but he said he was a Christian, so were his dream interpretations biblical? He talked faster than I could listen….hopefully he’s with the Lord now.

    • Skywatcher

      Hi there, Sister Char!

I haven’t had a chance to read all the comments in my inbox yet, but may I speak to this query?

Anybody or anything that takes the name “Daystar” is NOT of God! That is Lucifer’s name in the modern per-versions of the Holy Bible! It’s Satan’s spin of lordship over Jesus Christ! Sirius (satellite/radio) is also another name for Lucifer! Ummm hmmm! This ancient paganism and occult stuff is coming back on the forefront of life again, and right in peoples’ faces and they don’t recognize it! Why? Because they don’t know where to look for the most part.

      • Edwitness

You can say that again. Carlos is playing games. I am of the impression that he has no desire to know the Jesus of the Bible. He reminds me some of David Boles. Fully reprobate. Too bad.
        Blessings to you also:-}

        • Carlos

Don’t give up, you might find the truth yourself.

  • Edwitness

    Kathleen SCHILLING,
I love how you said “…and has since accepted Jesus as my savior.” How true that is. Until a Catholic leaves the Catholic religion they most probably do not know Jesus as savior.
Welcome to the family Kathleen. What a blessing you are. The Angels are praising and rejoicing in heaven over you.

I find it interesting that we are having this discussion with Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, starting this week. Watch for all kinds of debauchery (pagan) videos of people celebrating Fat Tuesday/ Mardi Gras in places like New Orleans. Gotta get those sins out of the system before sacrificing for 6 weeks. (I knew someone who gave up Coke and just drank Pepsi for the duration. Really?) How is any of that biblical? There are times of fasting in the Jewish calendar, but where in the bible is Lent mentioned? I still guiltily practiced it 10 years after I stopped going to Mass. Amazingly, many non-Catholic denominations have adopted Lent and it’s tradition of “giving up” something. Still, gotta say, the Friday Fish Fry is pretty good. 🙂

DC, years ago, when I was an organist in a Convention Baptist Church, they were observing Maundy Thursday, something I believe came from the Harlot, if I’m not mistaken. If there is any day we should be celebrating, it should be that Thursday, the day Christ was actually crucified. I said this in an earlier post. If one does the math, and followed the RC tradition of “Good Friday”, there was no way Christ could have been in the tomb for three days and nights, as Jonah’s dining experience in the whale was a foreshadow of.

      • Edwitness

        Chuck Missler’s Koinonia House gives this interpretation of the timing of Jesus’ death. There is more at the website focusonjerusalem.com. I believe it matches well with the description of the events we are given in scripture. Blessings:-}

DAY ONE – THURSDAY (sundown Wednesday to sundown Thursday) -
15th of Nisan
Leviticus 23:5 designates the 14th of Nisan to be the day for observing Passover. Jesus was placed in the tomb just prior to sundown on Wednesday and spent his first full night and day in the tomb beginning on the 15th of Nisan, the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Unleavened bread was pure bread. Jesus was pure and undefiled and without sin. During the Jewish observance of this feast, some of the unleavened bread was to be hidden away by the father for a time, only to be brought out and eaten later.

DAY TWO – FRIDAY (sundown Thursday to sundown Friday) –
16th of Nisan

DAY THREE – SATURDAY (sundown Friday to sundown Saturday) –
17th of Nisan
Jesus’ body lay in the grave for the third night after his crucifixion. Sometime after sundown Saturday evening (the start of Sunday), Jesus rose from the dead. Thus, he had been in the grave three days and three nights as prophesied. [Some argue from Luke 24:20-21 that Jesus must have been crucified on Thursday, which would have had him in the grave Thursday night and Friday, Friday night and Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday morning.]
On Sunday morning, when the women went to the tomb with burial spices, they found the tomb empty. Sunday, as the “morrow after the Sabbath” after Passover was the Feast of Firstfruits (Lev 23:10-11; 1 Cor 15:20-23). In rising from the dead, Jesus became the first-fruits of all those who die and yet will be resurrected to live forever.

Yes, Edwitness, that is exactly right. I said Thursday, didn’t I! My bad! I had it all figured out back in the spring, as you’ve just laid out. Sometimes, I think something in my head and then it doesn’t come out of my fingers they way I think it; my speech during the day is also like that sometimes. I have an extremely high potassium content (which would kill most, that put me in the medical journals 30 years ago), and that is sometimes the side effect. Not trying to make excuses, but that is how I discovered the condition in the first place! It’s my “thorn in the flesh”, and I do NOT like it a bit! Thankfully, most of the time, I’m not bothered by it. It’s more noticeable when I’m tired too. Here it is, 11:02 p.m. and I’m posting!

Hey, folks! Will you PLEASE pray for me in that regard? I need my memory back! I’m getting so disgusted with myself lately, because I cannot remember Scripture like I used to! I can read my Bible or anything else and in ten minutes or less, forget what I had just read. Very annoying, frustrating, and defeating. I’d greatly appreciate that! 🙂

          I thank you, in advance!!!

          Blessings, Edwitness and all!

          • Edwitness

My granddaughter is here and we prayed for your healing. Always according to God’s will. He knows exactly what we need and will do His work in His time. May He reach in and make your body work exactly as He intends it to. And we continue to beseech Him with you for the healing that you need. And the Peace of God will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. AMEN
            Blessings my brother :-}

  • Ben from Canada

It’s Ben from Canada, as there is another Ben that has posted comments on here also.

Video’s from Richard Bennett a former Catholic priest for 41 years are good to watch he has lots of video testimony. Of how he came out of it, The unbiblical Doctrine and how offended they were when he left and threatened him!!!

    • Skywatcher

Thanks, for that clarification, Brother Ben from Canada! I must look that up right now! That will come in really handy when witnessing to the dear Catholic people! Blessings, Bro!

Speaking of Daystar Marcus & Joni Lamb T.V. yesterday Feb 7

I tuned in for 3 minutes they had Jonathan Cahn on hyping and revving up the studio and t.v. audience preaching up a Shmita storm, Sow your $1,200 seed call now, Get in on the blessing.

Kathleen SCHILLING, I second what Edwitness said, “Welcome to the family!” I get excited when I hear a precious soul has been delivered and has taken up residency in the everlasting arms of Jesus Christ! When I get this excited, I cannot begin to imagine just how excited the angels must be when they witness a rebirth! In fact, this is so important to our Savior, that He spoke of it twice in Luke 15: 7, 10!

God bless you, as you journey through this part of life, with your hand firmly in His!

  • Char

Skywatcher, all I can say is “YIKES”. I didn’t have any idea (I guess I don’t know where to look either) that Daystar is Satan’s name. I didn’t relate it to Morningstar. Do these people not know this? They own the whole station (Marcus and Joni Lamb). They seem like such sweet Spirit filled people and all their adult children too. I can’t say as I’m a regular watcher of their station because their programs are not that interesting. Right now it’s their week or two long campaign for money. But anyway, thanks for the info. I guess John Paul Jackson must not have been on the up and up either since he was a regular on their station and had his own show also. Sometimes his dream interpretations didn’t make sense to me. It seems like there’s less and less Christian shows on TV that are true to the Word. That almighty dollar gets in the way every time! God Bless!

    • Daystar is not a name for Lucifer! This is why we do NOT use the modern translations they are corrupt!

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!” Isaiah 14:12 (KJV)
“How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!” Isaiah 14:12 (NIV)

See the difference?? The NIV makes the “morning star”, which is Jesus Christ, into Satan!!

“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” Revelation 22:16 (KJV)

      • sKYWATCHER

Geoffrey, I’m sorry, that is what I meant to say! I guess I need more sleep! Three or four hours a night lately is NOT working for me! Here’s what I meant to say, which is in agreement with you. 🙂

MY HUMBLE APOLOGIES TO THE READERSHIP! To err is human, and I sit corrected! Thank you, for caring enough to do that for me! I don’t want to intentionally lead anybody astray! I went back to my infamous manuscript, and look what I found!

“In Isaiah 14: 12, the NIV and others have omitted the name of Lucifer and have substituted the title for Christ, “Morning Star/Day star”, as He is called in 2 Peter 1: 19 and Rev. 2: 28. This causes doubt, confusion, and great perplexity among the readership because they have made Jesus and Lucifer into one and the same person, and have been doing so for well over 100 years!

The Latin Vulgate has always said that Lucifer was Jesus Christ (“Lucifer rising”) in 2 Peter as well as in Isaiah 14: 12. The word “star” is NOT there at all in the Hebrew text! It’s not in the Isaiah text of the Dead Sea Scrolls either! Corrupt translators put it in later on!

The word, “star” is used in v. 13…not in verse 12! It is used 36 times in Hebrew and God did NOT call Lucifer a “star”.

Job 38: 7 “Morning Star” is different from Isaiah 14: 12.”

Thank you!!! I won’t forget that one for a long time, I hope! PLEASE pray for my memory; not as sharp as it was ten months ago!

Char, I messed up re: “Day Star”! My bad! 🙁

My humblest apologies! Please see my apology and explanation to Geoffrey, if it didn’t come automatically to your inbox. Sorry!

Former priest Richard Bennett’s website is bereanbeacon.org

Here’s the link to former-Catholic Mike Gendron’s articles:

Edwitness, that was so nice of you to share that info. Some of the people on this site really go out of their way to be kind and helpful. I am so encouraged by those who gently try to teach others the Way. Keep shining. There’s a crown waiting for you.

    • Edwitness

You are so welcome DC. God is soooo good!

      • sKYWATCHER

Thank you, Edwitness and Granddaughter, for your prayerful support! I greatly appreciate it! I’m agreeing with you, and will anticipate God’s healing touch! THANK YOU, again!

By the way, my new church prayed for the young lady this morning that tried to take her life, that you were asking prayer for! Expect a miracle in her life!

        Much love, in Christ!

A fellow twig in the True Vine!

  • Char

Geoffrey, thanks for the info re: Daystar. It’s kinda confusing on whose what…..my original question was what you thought of John Paul Jackson and his dream interpretation ministry. When I listen to him, he doesn’t really clear up confusion in their dreams (to me anyway). What do you think?

  • Catholics are very superstitious. They look at the shroud of Turin and believe the holes in the wrists show it is Jesus. And they look at this gentleman with the stigmata and he had holes in the hands. Even if one of them were true, the other would have to be wrong.

  • Char

Skywatcher, yes I just read your reply to Geoffrey. Thank you so much and I will pray for you also for you memory. I know the feeling myself with scripture. The old gray mare she ain’t what she used to be. I can remember scripture, but can’t remember where it is in the Word, so I keep my iphone handy and that gets me to the exact scripture, but is a nuisance when I want to tell someone what the Word says. Thank you both for clearing that up. God bless!

Thank you, Char! I awoke at 3 a.m. today with a pounding headache. That NEVER happens. Maybe it was something I ate. I’m not worried or stressed! I have you and other loving family members praying for me! THANK YOU A WHOLE BUNCH!!! I’m off to bed now!

God bless you, as you walk with Him each day, with a song in your heart and a mission to accomplish for Him! 😉

      • Carlos

Hello Skywatcher, Hope you feel better, I found this in the KJB ” 2 cor 5 20″. Now we are ambassadors for Crhist, as though God did beseech you by us: we Pray you in Christ stead, be ye reconciled to God.
So my reconciliation with him still stands right?

  • Char

@Ben in Canada, yes this is the 2nd week of Daystar campaigning for donations. They do that twice a year, as does Gordon Robertson on 700 Club and they show the same people testifying that they sowed $1000 or whatever and they immediately got a job or something they were wanting. Makes others think they didn’t pray right if they don’t get their seed sewn. Shameful!
Jimmy and Donnie Swaggart do the same and they have a show with just one of them naming people’s names and how much they give. How boring is that? I don’t know who in the world would sit and watch that show to hear donations.

    • Ben from Canada

Yes, I will sometimes look to see “who” is on fleecing love offerings, And who is now joined the Word of Faith “Partnership” team, it just happened to be Jonathon Cahn, Geoffrey just did a write-up on him. Cahn is making the rounds on the speakers circuit.

  • DC

There are so few true churches that teach the bible and so many charlatans on tv, that I am daily thankful for this site and a few others that do not bend on the Word of God. I cringe when I think of a naive, new believer being taken in by the wolves in sheep’s clothing. So many think, “oh, I’ll never be taken in by the devil,” expecting him to show up in a union suit with a pitchfork & that they’ll clearly recognize him. The fact is he’s going to be charming and good-looking (Fox’s new “Lucifer” comes to mind), and will deceive millions, accepting & encouraging all their debauched behavior in the name of “love” and promising to solve all the world’s problems. He’ll have a world leader (hmm…who could that be) helping him unite all the world’s religions into one pagan, self-loving religion. So glad I won’t be here but praying that others might see the truth and escape too.

  • Doodles

I just want to know: When was the last time you led someone to Christ? and Do you pay tithe and attend a local church? Do you give to missions, feed the homeless, and help widows?

  • Polpot

I am an atheist and I am glad I am witnessing a bunch of idiotic Christians arguing about irrational things because of a magic book and how to live accordingly to it. There are lots of science books and its best to put them into good use.
If only we reach great advancement in technology from which we reasonable human being can send all retard Christians and Muslims to mars, then earth would be a peaceful planet.

    • Skywatcher

Why Polpot, thank you very much for dropping by and giving us such wonderful compliments! If it weren’t for your Christian fore-bearers, you wouldn’t have many sciences, hospitals, social security, social services, orphanages, etc. etc. I’m so glad we could be of assistance to you and your welfare family. I’ll be remembering you on your annual holiday…April Fool’s Day! “The fool hath said, There is no God.” Psa. 53: 1

    • Larry / vietnamvet1971

nice name there polpot, an EVIL, Wicked regime of Killers in Cambodia so you do associate with your ILK & Kind, most UNGODLY people seem to be drawn to EVIL & your god (SATAN believe it or not) of this present Evil world that you are a part of and you have your feet / roots planted here so you will die here with NO hope of leaving. And IF you think Technology will save you from us Christians then keep DREAMING your Fantasy World will go up in FLAMES one day and you will be here to suffer the Wrath that GOD gives ALL Fools. So wear your badge of an Atheist it will not keep you from WRATH.

I will give you a love message the only one I can tell you: REPENT or PERISH but in your case you are already Condemned with one foot in hell.

Where does it say that all these people do not believe in Jesus? Where does it say that they ‘worship’ St. Padre Pio, yes Saint? Where does it say in the Bible that there will not be Saints? Did Christ not say how those who suffer (do I need to quote the Bible here?) will glorify God? Then can people not glorify God through their being? Who are all of you to pass judgement? Who wants to throw that first stone? Who already has? Love Jesus, Condemn your neighbour? Those who are sick need Jesus, or those who are already healed? Where are all the thousands of Christian Church denominations in the Bible? How many biblical figures live like anyone here condemning the Church? Who here has left all to follow Christ? Only Christ? How many here will write a post and continue to live their OWN lives? Football? BBQ’s? Parties? Nice fluffy pillows? Warm running water? Who here has nowhere to lay there head? Who here has that log in there eye? Or are you perfect just like your Heavenly Father? Harden not your hearts, or continue throwing stones…

    • Edwitness

Did you read the article? The issue is idolatry. “He is prayed to by millions of Catholic’s around the world”. When Jesus taught us to pray in Mt.6:9-13, where did He say to pray to men instead of God? He did not. We pray only to God only through our one and only mediator Jesus Christ. That is not throwing stones. It is speaking the truth in love. Just like Jesus did.
