Google and countless other technology companies are working overtime at a pace never seen before in world history to create this coming system that the Antichrist will takeover when he arrives on the scene. Don’t believe it? Just look into the camera and smile…you’ll get the picture soon enough.

From Daily Mail UK: They look like something you’d see at a Star Trek convention, perhaps worn with a pair of fake pointy ears. And that’s entirely fitting, given that these high-tech specs are about to propel us into a sci-fi future few could have envisaged a decade ago.

Google Glass has had the tech world giddy with excitement since it was unveiled nearly a year ago. Last week, at the South By Southwest technology convention in Austin, Texas, a Google designer gave the first demonstration to a rapt audience.

This remarkable new innovation represents the advance guard of what Silicon Valley is banking on being the next great step in our addiction to the internet: ‘wearable computing’.

Apple and Samsung are working on smart watches, Google is developing talking shoes, but nothing compares to these head-mounted ‘glasses’ that can shoot video footage, search the internet or send an email, all at the command of their wearer’s voice.

To look at, they are nothing special, certainly rather nerdy, but put them on and you are immersed in what the experts like to call ‘augmented reality’.

But what exactly is augmented reality?

Each pair of glasses is fitted with a miniaturised camera and web browser which displays digital information on a tiny screen — a clear plastic block the width of a pencil — just in front and slightly above a wearer’s eye.

The arm of the headset, which sits near the wearer’s temple, acts as a touch pad. By sliding your finger up and down it, you can scroll through the text visible in your eyepiece. To select something on the screen, the user simply taps the headset.

The device is also fitted with a tiny speaker, microphone and motion sensors which interpret commands based on the wearer’s head movements.

Google Glass does everything a smartphone does without the bother of having to pull it out of your pocket and fiddle with the controls. Text messages and emails can be dictated by voice command and then read back on the screen to check that the computer has heard — and spelt — everything correctly.

Want to catch up on the news? Wearers can see headlines and pictures and have full stories read back to them simply by tapping the frame of their glasses.

Wear them while driving and the glasses’ in-built GPS system will identify your location and give you turn-by-turn directions via Google Maps. Ask the glasses a question and the answer will pop up on screen.

At the Texas convention, the Google representative gave an in-depth demonstration showing how, in addition to voice commands, simple eye movements can also be used to control the device. Looking up activates the screen and gentle head motions allow you to scroll through various different programmes.

The technician took a photo of the packed audience and then asked his glasses how to say ‘thank you’ in Japanese.

Google Glass is expected to go on sale by the end of this year at an estimated price of $1,500 (£995). Already, tech junkies have shown themselves willing to pay even more.

When someone claiming to be testing Google Glass offered their device for sale on eBay this month, bidding went as high as $16,000 (£10,610). The auction was cancelled only when it became clear that the opportunistic vendor didn’t yet have the device.

Google has allowed only a trusted few volunteer guinea pigs to try out the glasses, which they insist are still in development. Those who have put these early prototypes through their paces have generally been impressed — with a few caveats.

The screen, they say, is distracting because, when you are trying to get on with other tasks, you are always tempted to look up at it.

Those who normally wear glasses have also reported difficulties in reading the screen. Google says it is working on a spectacles-compatible version and Google Glass contact lenses are surely only years away.

Wearers also report feeling self-conscious while wearing them. They certainly are not the most chic of options. Google says it is working on that, too — by collaborating with trendy spectacles manufacturers to make later Google Glass designs more attractive.

Some reported that the glasses made friends and family feel uncomfortable. How can you be sure the Google Glass wearer you are talking to is actually paying attention — and not checking the sports results popping up on his screen?

But of all the promised features of these spectacular specs, it is the glasses’ ability to take pictures and shoot video footage and upload it instantly to the internet that is proving most disturbing.

Some fear candid camera snooping will become all too easy when no one realises that the person simply looking in their direction is actually filming them.

And it gets worse

According to Google co-founder Sergey Brin, the company plans to have Google Glass fitted with an automatic picture-taking mode, snapping photos at pre-set intervals. This could be as often as every five seconds.

While people may rightly worry about being photographed without their knowledge or permission, such fears pale into insignificance when you consider the true extent of the insidious reach of Google Glass.

You may already have been filmed unknowingly by someone with Google Glass — one of those lucky guinea pigs hand-picked to try out the developing technology. If not, rest assured you soon will be. A growing number of industry insiders say we should all be very worried.

Scott Cleland, an internet analyst, told me ‘creepy’ Google Glass technology represented the ‘ultimate escalation of Google’s privacy invasion’.

He says: ‘Say you’re huddled in Starbucks with your spouse and someone next to you is recording your conversation on Google Glass. Remember, the glasses have no storage capacity so all the information goes directly back to Google’s huge data centres.’

Russell Brand has no testimony of salvation after being baptized into the Roman Catholic Church, he got wet but not saved

Much has been made in recent days about the baptism of Hollywood actor and social media star Russell Brand, and we would do well to compare this and all such topics to what the scripture tells us is true about these things. Our starting point regarding Russell Brand is to see if we can figure out exactly what he was baptized in to, and fortunately, we already have that information. Russell Brand has been baptized into the Roman Catholic Church created by the Emperor Constantine in the 4th century.

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:3,4 (KJB)

We could almost end our quest here, now that we know that Brand has become a Roman Catholic. But for the sake of fairness we shall continue. The second thing we need to ascertain if we can find his testimony of salvation, so far I have come across nothing that would indicate he has heard Paul’s gospel of the death, burial and resurrection on the third day of Jesus Christ according to the scripture. The third thing we need to look at as what Russell Brand thinks he has done in getting baptized into the Roman Catholic Church. Is he aware of his sinful condition? Is he trusting the shed blood of Jesus Christ alone? I have reviewed multiple videos posted by Brand, and he thinks that his good works are now necessary to maintain his state as a Christian. About his baptism, Brand says he has now been ‘awakened and untethered’ to this ‘new level of consciousness’. In his mind, Jesus is a thing, not a Person, and he has joined this mystical group of knowledge seekers much like the Rosicrucians. He has religion all right, he just doesn’t have Jesus, and he doesn’t have Jesus because no one gave him the gospel. Joining the Roman Catholic Church makes you a member of that organization, it doesn’t save your soul. In the Bible, people are baptized after getting saved, and then they were added to the church.

While it may sound like an episode of Black Mirror, Americans can now purchase a flamethrower-wielding robot dog online from Throwflame called Thermonator.

Have you ever spent a hot, summer afternoon at a water park? I have, and it’s one of my favorite things to do. There is this curious moment that takes place after you enter into the water, right before the thundering force of the jets carry you forward. In that brief, little space, you are calm and peaceful, luxuriously basking in the cool water. Then you reach the main current and woosh!! you go at what feels like a million miles per hour. This is where we are right now with the incoming tide of AI and robot technology, in that brief little moment before the avalanche sweeps us inexorably forward into only God knows what’s coming next.

The opening years of the 20th century was an overwhelming outpouring of information and global travel and exploration, exactly as Daniel had foreseen in chapter 12 of his book. Meet the Thermonator: First ever flamethrowing robot dog that shoots jets of fire up to 30 feet hits US market

FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: Ohio-based Throwflame opened sales for its ‘Thermonator’ Tuesday, selling its 37-pound quadruped machine for $9,420 that is legal in all US states except Maryland. A demonstration video shows a Thermonator creeping and jumping through a forest before torching its surroundings with a 30-foot jet of fire spewing from a flame thrower on its back. Throwflame, based in Cleveland, claims to be the oldest flamethrower manufacturer in the US.

The company released the first-ever full-sized, commercially available flamethrower in 2015, which shoots flames up to 50 feet. ‘This unregulated flamethrower sparked a significant media response relating to legality,’ Throwflame shared on its website. ‘However, flamethrowers remain federally unregulated. This means anyone can buy one without background checks or a waiting period.’

Thermonator appears to be designed like most quadruped robots but has one of Throwflame’s devices attached to its back. The robot dog boasts a variety of cameras and sensors, allowing it to autonomously move throughout its surroundings and find targets to set ablaze. The machine is remotely operated – the demonstration video shows a handler controlling it with a smartphone.

Social media users have weighed in on the machine, comparing it to an episode in the fourth season of Black Mirror titled ‘Metalhead.’

The episode explores what could happen if these machines turned on us, revealing the terrifying quest for survival in a world where robo-dogs can outrun and outsmart humans. X user Rob Sheepe posted: ‘Some real-life Black Mirror ‘Metalhead’ terror right here. How is this legal?’

However, Maryland is the only US state that bans flamethrowers – California requires a permit to own one. Possessing or using a flamethrower in Maryland is punishable by a $250,000 fine and up to 25 years imprisonment. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia has been forced to scale back its $1.5 trillion plans for NEOM, a 106-mile linear desert megacity, in a humiliating climb down for the kingdom.

You know, it’s hard to be a dystopian end times dictator bent on world domination these days, just as Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman over in Saudi Arabia now knows. We told you back in 2022 the plans that the Crown Prince had to build his futuristic city called NEOM. NEOM consists of THE LINE, OXAGON, TOJENA and SINDALAH that would all be the premier representation of the 15-minute city that Klaus Schwab and United Nations want us all to live in. But as Adolf Hitler before him found out, building a kingdom is really hard work, and very, very expensive, even of you’re the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.

FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: The Line – part of the country’s audacious and futuristic NEOM project – was meant to be home to around 1.5 million residents by the end of the decade, with plans to ultimately increase its full capacity to nine million people.

Now, according to people familiar with the project, the development will only stretch 1.5 miles and house fewer than 300,000 residents by 2030, according to a new report from Bloomberg citing sources close to the project and documents.

As a result of the reduction to the construction of The Line, at least one contractor has started dismissing workers it employs on the site, the publication has said.

Stunning concept images released by the kingdom in 2022 showed a vast, mirrored structure cutting through the desert near crystal blue ocean waters. It is one of fifteen developments that form the country’s NEOM project – which also includes an industrial city, ports and tourism developments – that have been gradually announced by the kingdom since 2021.

But The Line was the jewel in Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s ‘Vision 2030’ project, which was set in motion to diversify his country’s oil dependent economy, as well as its society and culture, and improve the image it projects on the world stage.

The Kingdom said the project, which is expected to cost $1.5 trillion, would be an ‘unprecedented living experience’ that preserves ‘surrounding nature’. The megacity was to feature two parallel skyscrapers extending across a swathe of desert and mountain terrain, with mirrored facades on the outside.

Saudi officials said it would be built in stages, and would eventually cover a 106-mile stretch of desert along the coast in the western Tabuk province – with its Western tip pointing out over the Red Sea towards Egypt. However, Bloomberg reports that these plans have now been dramatically scaled back – with the 106 mile structure being reduced to just 1.5 miles – a more than 98 percent decrease in size. READ MORE
