Israel and Russia agreed on Monday to coordinate military actions over Syria in order to avoid accidentally trading fire, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a visit to Moscow.

“And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:” Ezekiel 39:2 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: Wow, here it comes, get ready. In the Bible, the prophet Ezekiel mentions two upcoming wars that will be fought by Russia against the nation of Israel specifically. One is the Battle of Armageddon fought at the end of the Tribulation, and the other the Battle of Gog and Magog at the end of the 1,000 Year Reign of Jesus Christ. So for Israel, right now in 2015, to be forced to form an alliance with Russia who is allies with Iran is actually unbelievable from an end times perspective. These are truly the days of prophecy.

Recent Russian reinforcements for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, which regional sources say include warplanes and anti-aircraft systems, worry Israel, whose jets have on occasion bombed the neighboring Arab country to foil suspected handovers of advanced arms to Assad’s Lebanese guerrilla ally Hezbollah.

Briefing Israeli reporters after he met Russian President Vladimir Putin, Netanyahu said he had come with the goal of “preventing misunderstandings between IDF (Israel Defense Force) units and Russian forces” in Syria, where Assad is fighting Islamist-dominated insurgents in a civil war.

Netanyahu added that he and Putin “agreed on a mechanism to prevent such misunderstandings”. He did not elaborate. There was no immediate comment from the Kremlin.

In earlier remarks as he welcomed Netanyahu to the presidential residence of Novo-Ogaryovo, outside Moscow, Putin said Russian actions in the Middle East would always be “responsible”. Underlining the importance of Netanyahu’s one-day visit to Moscow, Israel’s premier took along the chief of its armed forces and the general in charge of Israeli military intelligence.

Putin, who shares Western concern about the spread of Islamic State influence, has pledged to continue military support for Assad, assistance that Russia says is in line with international law. Russia has been focusing forces on Syria’s coast, where Moscow keeps a big Mediterranean naval base.

The United States, which along with its allies has been flying missions against Islamic State insurgents in Syria, has also been holding so-called “deconfliction” talks with Russia.

KEEPING U.S. INFORMED

Netanyahu told Israeli reporters that he had informed the Americans “on each and every detail” of his Moscow visit, adding: “Everyone has an interest in avoiding an unnecessary clash” over Syria.

A U.S. official told Reuters that U.S.-Israeli coordination allowed the allies to share classified technologies for identifying Russian aircraft over Syria: “We know how to spot them clearly and quickly,” the official said.

Separately, U.S. officials said Russia had started flying surveillance missions with drone aircraft in Syria in what appeared to be Moscow’s first air operations there since beginning its build-up. The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, could not say how many aircraft were involved.

The Bible Believer’s Guide To The Two Different Wars Of Ezekiel 38 And 39

A former Netanyahu adviser said Israel was concerned that Russia’s help for Assad in battling an insurgency now in its fifth year could create a de facto axis between Moscow, Iran and Hezbollah.

Iran, Israel’s arch-foe, is Assad’s other foreign backer and patron of Hezbollah, which fought Israel to a standstill in the 2006 Lebanon war. Israel worries that top-of-the-line Russian military hardware being deployed in Syria could end up in Hezbollah’s arsenal.

“Our policy is to do everything to stop weapons from being sent to Hezbollah,” Netanyahu told Putin at their photo-op. He also set out Israel’s policy of striking at guerrillas suspected of preparing to attack it from the Syrian Golan, on the northern frontier – an apparent signal to Russia to steer clear there.

The former Netanyahu adviser, who spoke to Reuters on condition of anonymity given the sensitivity of the issue, said any understandings reached with Putin “could come down to Israel and Russia agreeing to limit themselves to defined areas of operation in Syria, or even that they fly at daytime and we fly at night”. source

    • Yes, and here they both come after Israel….the Rapture is just around the corner now…

      • Amen Brother in Christ Jesus Geoffrey!! 😀

      • Slade

I thought vladimir was a christian, he cant be that dumb enough to come against israel

        • Ole Ingvar

Christian? You kiddin’ 🙂 ? Every president has Illuminati initiation. World belong to Satan and rules of the world also.

          • Eisenhorn

Yes and Netanyahu is illuminati as well. Israel is one of the most corrupt nations on earth, something Christians don’t like to talk about..

        • Ole Ingvar

There’s no Christian president in this world. Everyone of them has Illuminati initiation. They’re satanists.

          • mikel

            agreed!

      • Mike

        Hi, Geoff.

Don’t you have them backwards? Isn’t the War of Gog and Magog during the Tribulation and Armageddon at the end it? That’s what most pastor’s I’ve read, say.

        • Bartley

Hi Mike. I’m not trying to but in on your conversation but Geoff is right. I also thought for years that Armageddon was the final battle. But recently the scripture was made clear to me. Armageddon is the battle that ushers in the return of Jesus Christ. The battle of God and Magog takes place after the millennial reign. The scriptures are listed out of order. Thanks

    • These guys will be after 1000 year of Kingdom. They’re still not exist. And rapture probably be at 2022-2023, if God permits :D.

  • Who can blame Israel? Obama turned his back on it. The nuking of America is not far behind.

    Dear Geoffrey:

You may be interested in some of the posts from this gentlemen – this one is very thorough.

Foreword by the Saker: I am delighted to post an article which, unlike all the nonsense we have been fed by Ynet, Debka and the rest of them, actually makes sense and outlines what appears to me a very likely description of the rationale behind the military component of the overall Russian strategy towards the war against Syria. This article also confirms my guess that Latakia (and not Damascus) will be the center of the Russian effort. While only time will show what the Russians will eventually do, I hope that this analysis puts to rest all the hyperbole about MiG-31s and Russian Airborne Divisions engaging Daesh.

    The Saker

  • Netanyahu lies, misleads and intimidates. He is not trustworthy.

  • I like Netanyahu. He does everything in his power to protect. I belong to Christians United For Israel. He was our best and most trusted ally in Europe until our limp-waisted president treated him with such disrespect. I was ashamed our president turned his back on Netantahu.

  • gumply

What it shows me is that in almost 6000 years Israel still hasn’t learned its lesson. They are still making pacts with the world and still looking to everyone except Yahweh for their deliverance. We need to keep them in our prayers because their suffering isn’t over yet.

    • Eisenhorn

You see this is the thing, Israel is a Godless nation that follows a pagan religion. They don’t follow God or His ways because they don’t know Him. (Christ is the only way to God, sorry to upset you Christian Zionists with that cold hard truth.)

Christians should pray for the Jews salvation. There is no longer Jew or gentile ONLY those in Christ.

Netanyahu is a warmonger and liar.

  • Larry / vietnamvet1971

Peace & Security, NO way for this friendly get together can turn into war any time for it has been declared by the Word of GOD and it will come to pass for GOD can not lie.

  • Mary

    Amen.

    Pray for Israel

What is dis-heartening to me is that other nations shun Netanyahu and the nation of Israel as if they don’t have a say in their existence. What these nations will come to see is that Israel is the chosen people of God and God’s faithfulness can never be broken. Soon, they will know who God is.

    Per Debka.com (http://www.debka.com/article/24899/Why-Israel-prefers-a-hot-line-to-a-military-coordination-center-with-Russia) – Hot Line?

“Neither the Russian military force in Syria, which is growing every day, nor the IDF have any plans for a body that will allow each side to inform the other of ground, air or naval operations about to be carried out in the Syrian theater.

Russia does not want the IDF to find out anything about its military moves or intentions, and the IDF does not want the Russians to have advance notice of any operations it is about to conduct in Syria, or of Israeli Air Force surveillance missions overhead.”

This sounds like a powder keg, a situation where there’ll be a mishap between the two regarding the different reasons or interests for being there. The fuel is there waiting on a spark. Is this when we witness Isaiah 17:1 foretold in Amos 1:3?

Psalm 120:1-7 (KJV) – “In my distress I cried unto the Lord, and he heard me. Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue. What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue? Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper. Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar! My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace. I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.”

That is pure truth. A key word right there is Mesech (in Hebrew it’s spelled Meshech). Ezekiel 38 (KJV) mentions Meshech – “the chief prince”. So, Israel is surrounded by people that hate them and will never be able to make peace – check.

Balaam, the soothsayer learned not to be on the haters side. In Numbers 22, during the first Exodus, Israel entering the promised land, there were some tribes who didn’t want them to do that so they needed someone with power to intervene.

Balaam is that guy. The king of Moab didn’t want God’s people to settle in the mountains of Israel (known today as the West Bank) so, he hired Balaam to curse the people of Israel. Balaam is the guy who struck the donkey three times in the presence of the angel of the Lord. Balaam realized that he was a loser and that God was the true Power here.

First lesson learned is God has made an irrevocable commitment to establish the Jews as His people forever. Second, there is no power in the universe that can never annul this commitment. Third, this process must be seen from God and not from men. Long story short, Balaam had a clear vision of the “blessed end” (Numbers 23:10 – KJV)-“Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!”

Brings up the question of “Why would Russia attack Israel in the latter days?” Ezekiel 38:13 tells us “Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions therof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?”

Who knows what the great spoil is? Many could speculate on what it could be but it doesn’t matter. God will pretty much stomp them into dust however, what matters is that we understand that there is only one God and that He sent his son to die on the cross for our sins that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life with Him.

    Thanks
    Eli

Eli, don’t your fear that to quote DEBKA FILE blows your cover as COINTEL?

  • BPound

It is so continually frustrating that this writer keeps promoting the viewpoint that Ezekiel 38 & 39 are two separate wars. Does he not realize that there were no chapter breaks in the original Bible? Ezekiel 38/39 describe one single war, and it will happen well before Armageddon. Gog is not the anti-christ. There is a reason that Russia’s military build up is happening now, well before the tribulation period has begun. It’s because the war in Ezekiel 38/39 is going to happen before the tribulation begins.

  • Nathan

Many bible scholars believe that The Battle of Gog and Magog takes place right before the rapture. Would someone be so kind to explain.
