The Real Reason Why Chick-Fil-A Crushes Their Competition Has Little To Do With Their World-Famous Chicken Sandwich

Chick-fil-A generates more revenue per restaurant than any other fast-food chain in the US. The chain’s average sales per restaurant reached $4 million.

In 2015, Chick-fil-A generated more revenue per restaurant than any other fast-food chain in the US. The chain’s average sales per restaurant reached nearly $4 million.

I’ll be honest. I like chicken, I truly do, but while Chick-fil-a is known for their quality they are not known for their variety. In fact, two beloved items, the chicken salad sandwich on toast and the side of coleslaw, were recently removed from their product offering lineup. Two terrible decisions in my opinion. So why do I return to Chick-fil-a over and over to eat basically the same thing every time?

“And they spake unto him, saying, If thou be kind to this people, and please them, and speak good words to them, they will be thy servants for ever.” 2 Chronicles 10:7 (KJV)

It’s because the people there are nice, attentive, they look me in the eyes and sound like they mean it when they tell me to ‘have a blessed day’. That gives me confidence with the things that I can see, as well as the food being prepared in the kitchen that I can not see, is being done according to a high standard of quality. Compare that to the last time I went to Taco Bell, and the person taking my money didn’t look me in the eye, didn’t say thank you, didn’t say goodbye, and didn’t stop her side conversation with a fellow worker. Are you listening, Charlie Bell?

A little kindness and sincerity goes a long way in life, and in the fast food world, it’s a million dollar difference.

Chick-fil-A is beating every competitor by training workers to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’

FROM BUSINESS INSIDER: The secret to Chick-fil-A’s success is as simple as saying “please” and “thank you.” The chicken chain is statistically the most polite chain in the restaurant business, according to a QSR Magazine’s annual drive-thru report released on Monday.

Employees at Chick-fil-A were the most likely of the 15 chains surveyed to say “please” and “thank you,” and to smile at drive-thru customers. Chick-fil-A workers were also as the second most likely to have a “pleasant demeanor,” only topped by the up-and-coming fast-food chain PDQ.

According to the report, Chick-fil-A employees said “thank you” in 95.2% of drive-thru encounters, based on data from nearly 2,000 visits to 15 restaurant chains. For comparison, KFC had a “thank you” rate of 84.9%. McDonald’s rate was 78.4%, putting it in 14th place out of the 15 chains analyzed.

“It’s all about speed and accuracy, but we know our customers appreciate that we can be nice while being fast and accurate,” Mark Moraitakis, senior director of hospitality and service design, told QSR. “Eye contact and smiling go a long way in the drive-thru experience.”

Chick-fil-A has taken pains to make its drive-thru strategy as customer-friendly as possible, reports QSR. The chain has dedicated drive-thru teams, made up of compatible Chick-fil-A employees, and sends employees with tablets out to the drive-thru lane to take orders when lines begin to form.

While small pleasantries are easy to dismiss in the multi-billion dollar restaurant business, these little things have played a key role in setting Chick-fil-A apart from the competition.

In 2015, Chick-fil-A generated more revenue per restaurant than any other fast-food chain in the US. The chain’s average sales per restaurant reached nearly $4 million.

Meanwhile, the average KFC sold $1 million in 2015.

Analysts have said that customer service is key to Chick-fil-A’s success. Superior customer service drives higher sales per unit, contributing to the chain’s ability to generate greater revenue than chains such as KFC, Pizza Hut, and Domino’s with more than twice as many US locations.

SAY NO TO MSG, CFA: Sadly, the MSG that is used in all of Chick-fil-A’s fried chicken is the second ingredient. Of the five ingredients in the seasoning, MSG is listed second (after salt). This means there is more MSG in the seasoning than there is sugar, spices, and paprika. Double blind studies also found that MSG exposure caused muscle tightness, fatigue, numbness or tingling, and flushing in sensitive people.

According to Chick-fil-A, the chain has the upper hand when it comes to customer service because it invests more than other companies in training its employees. The chicken chain’s unique business structure, in which each franchisee is only allowed to open one Chick-fil-A location, further allows for more hands-on supervision and training. Chick-fil-A is cashing in. A new 2017 sales report shows the king of chicken is rolling in the dough and is far exceeding its rival fast food chains like McDonald’s and KFC.

Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy Says White People Need To Get On Their Knees And Shine The Shoes Of Blacks To ‘Exhibit Remorse For Racism’

Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy says white people should find black strangers, go up to them, and shine their shoes to show repentance for their sins of racism.

Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy says white people should find black strangers, go up to them, and shine their shoes to show repentance for their sins of racism.

Chick-fil-a CEO Dan Cathy is a pampered and privileged multi-millionaire, and he wants the world to know that the occupation of shoe shining produces ‘shame and embarrassment’. I wonder how the families of unemployed black men during the Great Depression who shined shoes and were able to put food on the table might feel about that comment? But I digress. Cathy says that answer to our racial problems in 2020 just might be for whites to get on their knees and randomly start shining the shoes of black strangers. What tha…??

Not only is that stupid, and creepy, it would do nothing but make black people laugh at the idiocy of white people who would do that. Black rapper Lecrae was sitting on the panel with Dan Cathy when the chicken king spontaneously leaned over and began shining Lecrae’s shoes. The look on Lecrae’s face says it all, as you will see in the video below. If these are the ideas, it only goes downhill from here. Whatever happened to being nice and normal and just treating people decently? I think someone has spiked his lemonade.

Would you like some waffle fries to go with your white privilege, Dan?

Chick-Fil-A CEO: White People Should Shine Blacks’ Shoes to Show ‘Sense of Shame,’ ‘Embarrassment’ for Racism

FROM CNS NEWS: He once bought 1,500 shoe brushes for his employees to shine strangers’ shoes to exhibit their remorse for racism, Cathy said Sunday during a panel discussion at Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

By shining shoes, white Americans can express shame, embarrassment, humility and contrition, Cathy said.

“Maybe, we need to give them a hug, too,” he added, providing a demonstration to Christian Rapper Lecrae:

“I invite folks just to put some words to action here and if we need to find somebody that needs to have their shoes shined, we need to just go right on over and shine their shoes.”

“Whether they got tennis shoes on or not — maybe they got sandals on — it really doesn’t matter. But, there’s a time in which we need to have some personal action here. Maybe we need to give them a hug, too.

“I bought about 1,500 of these [brushes] and I gave them to all our Chick-Fil-A operators and staff a number of years ago.”

“So, any expressions of a contrite heart, of a sense of humility, a sense of shame, a sense of embarrassment begat with an apologetic heart — I think that’s what our world needs to hear today.” READ MORE

Hey Dan, Why Is Shoe Shining Something To Be Ashamed Of?

No shame here, Dan Cathy, why do you belittle people who shine shoes for a living? These people provide a valuable service and make lots of money doing it.

Chick-fil-A funding Covenant House and Leftist attack group Southern Poverty Law Center as their stunning shift Left continues to shock and disgust people.

It is painful to watch Chick-fil-A follow the same trajectory of other corporations attempting to adopt a politically correct attitude.

So now that the gloves are off, and Chick-fil-A no longer has to pretend that they are still a Christian company, the truth is rushing to the surface with stupifying swiftness. Chick-fil-A is out of the closet, pun intended, as a proud sponsor of not only the pro-LGBTQ+ Covenant House, they are also giving buckets of cash to the Far Left Liberal attack group, the Southern Poverty Law Center.  The same SPLC,  longtime NTEB readers will recall, that put us on their “anti-government hate group” list back in 2016.

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (KJV)

In 2012, NTEB wholeheartedly supported Chick-fil-A, doing our first article about the ‘buycott’ called for at the time by Mike Huckabee to support CFA against the LGBTQ+ protesters. Truett Cathy was still alive at that time. Who would have thought that, just a mere 7 years later, Chick-fil-A would be funding pro-LGBTQ+, pro-abortion, anti-Israel and Leftist attack groups? Chick-fil-A proxy funding Drag Queen Story Hour?? Are you kidding me?? It is shocking, it is staggering, and it is really happening. #BoycottChickfilA

Chick-fil-A Grantee Covenant House Hosted Drag Queen Story Hour

FROM BREITBART NEWS: Fast-food chain Chick-fil-A continues to be mired in controversy after the discovery of its donations to the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and also Covenant House, an organization that celebrates LGBTQ pride and hosted a Drag Queen Story Hour in New York.

On November 18, the restaurant that had received the praise and support of Christians for what appeared to be its courage to stand up for the biblical foundations of marriage and sexuality, announced it was changing direction.

Starting in 2020, the Chick-fil-A Foundation is introducing a more focused giving approach to provide additional clarity and impact with the causes it supports,” the announcement read.

It was revealed that Chick-fil-A would be ending its support for the Salvation Army – considered by many to be the premier organization for helping the homeless and hungry – and giving, instead, to Covenant House International, an organization that helps homeless youth but clearly celebrates LGBTQ pride.

“Pride is all about love, acceptance, celebration,” Covenant House states. “It’s also about recognizing the challenges and injustices that the LGBTQ community faces – particularly when it comes to homelessness.”

In an op-ed at USA Today Wednesday, JP Duffy, vice president of communications at the Family Research Council, recalled his first job at Chick-fil-A, and his boss’s explanation of founder Truett Cathy’s vision of having a company that honors God.

“In that conversation, I began to experience what it means to live out one’s faith in the workplace,” Duffy wrote. “I knew I signed up to do more than sell chicken. That was the first of many such conversations over the next three years.”

“Those family conversations have changed dramatically recently,” Duffy said, however, since the recent announcement by Chick-fil-A COO Tim Tassopoulos that the company was moving in a different direction. “There’s no question we know that, as we go into new markets, we need to be clear about who we are,” Tassopoulos said. “There are lots of articles and newscasts about Chick-fil-A, and we thought we needed to be clear about our message.”

Duffy said it is painful to watch Chick-fil-A follow the same trajectory of other corporations attempting to adopt a politically correct attitude. Duffy continued:

In 2016, Chick-fil-A’s board selected a new president, Tim Tassopoulos, who is a member of an advisory board for a Boy Scouts council (which has changed the name of its 11- to 17-year-olds program to Scouts BSA). The Scouts BSA has abandoned many of its values in recent years and has never looked back, even as the organization apparently moves closer to bankruptcy.

Duffy said “the biggest shock” was the discovery that Chick-fil-A has donated to SPLC, a group that labels Christian individuals and groups as “haters.” According to Duffy:

This is the same group that, in 2012, inspired a gunman to storm into the headquarters of my organization, the Family Research Council, and attempt to murder my colleagues and me and smash Chick-fil-A sandwiches on our faces.

That day I saw our building manager, Leo Johnson, covered in blood as he was rushed into an ambulance. Despite being seriously wounded, Leo heroically tackled the gunman, saving many lives.

The domestic terrorist shooter, Floyd Corkins, told the FBI he had picked the Family Research Council as a target from the Southern Poverty Law Center’s website. He was angered by the Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day held recently, in which huge crowds lined up at Chick-fil-A’s restaurants to show support for its president, Dan Cathy, who had expressed support for marriage defined as between a man and woman.

Duffy praised the businesses that have held their courage and fought to practice their faith beliefs in the marketplace – Hobby Lobby and Jack Phillips’ Masterpiece Cakeshop are just two he mentioned.

“Religious freedom is the right to live out your faith in every area of life, including the workplace,” Duffy said. “But that freedom is under assault. We can defend this freedom by exercising it. However, that requires courage, which comes through a relationship with God and reverence for his Word.” READ MORE

Chick-fil-A Put Obama And Hillary Supporter Rodney Bullard In Charge Of The Money And Has Transformed Company To Now Support Social Justice And Diversity Agenda

Chick-fil-A Put an Obama and Hillary Supporter in Charge, but Dumped Christians
SHARE NOW THE END BEGINS:

Now the fig leaf is gone and the reality is that the Chick-fil-A Foundation is just another corporate leftist charity that lavishes cash on organizations linked to local Democrats and assorted diversity causes

The organization that controls the money is called the Chick-fil-A Foundation, and its executive director is a man named Rodney Bullard. He came to Chick-fil-A  in 2011 with a Washington pedigree and a White House resume, a resume that includes giving money to the Democratic Party as both an Obama and Hillary donor. With the tacit approval of Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy, Rodney Bullard has transformed the company from one involved with charity, to one that is involved with social justice, gender identity, and diversity. Your local Chick-fil-A restaurant may still be, for now, closed on Sunday, but at the corporate level they seem to be open for business 7 days a week.

Chick-fil-A gives huge amounts of money to Democratic and Leftist organizations and gives comparatively small amounts of money to Christian organizations and Christian causes. Chick-fil-A gave $1.7 million to the Westside Future Fund in Atlanta, while at the same time giving a paltry $115,000 to the Salvation Army.  Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Why is Chick-fil-A giving buckets of cash to causes that champion social justice, and scraps and pocket change to Christian organizations who minister with the gospel? Not at Chick-fil-A where they are now more interested in ‘social responsibility’ than the saving message of the gospel of the grace of God.

“Some prefer it grilled, others fancy the original,” the company told loyalty members in an email this week, according to USA Today. “No matter which Chick-fil-A sandwich you love, order yours on Nov. 3 for National Sandwich Day.”

And about being closed on Sunday, you better brace yourself. They recently sent up a trial balloon pretending they ‘were confused’ and ‘didn’t know’ that National Sandwich Day, which they encouraged all Chick-fil-A customers to go out and support, was on a Sunday this year. Yeah, right. They are grooming you for being open on Sunday, prepare for impact. But honestly, I couldn’t care less when they will be open or closed because I will no longer be eating there. I would rather give my business to a company that supported Leftist causes and was honest about it than give it to a pretend Christian company like Chick-fil-A.

The legacy of founder Truett Cathy is being erased at a very rapid rate and being replaced with a politically-correct, social responsibility Democratic world-view. His son and Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy has been lying to all of us for quite some time. Enjoy your fig leaf, Dan.

Chick-fil-A Put an Obama and Hillary Supporter in Charge, and Dumped Christians

FROM FRONTPAGE MAG: Chick-fil-A’s announcement that it was dumping the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which have come under attack by gay activist groups, caught Christian fans of the fast food chain by surprise. It shouldn’t have if they had been paying attention to CFA’s corporate structure.

The donations were coming out of the Chick-fil-A Foundation. The Executive Director of the CFA Foundation is Rodney D. Bullard, a former White House fellow and Assistant US Attorney. Some may have mistaken him for a conservative because he was a fellow in the Bush Administration, but he was an Obama donor, and, more recently, had donated to Hillary Clinton’s campaign while at Chick-fil-A.

Like many corporations, Chick-fil-A branded its charitable giving as a form of social responsibility. Bullard became its Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility. Unlike charity, corporate social responsibility is a leftist endeavor to transform corporations into the political arms of radical causes. Like other formerly conservative corporations, Chick-fil-A had made the fundamental error of adopting the language and the infrastructure of its leftist peers. And that made what happened entirely inevitable.

In an interview with Business Insider earlier this year, Bullard emphasized that the Chick-fil-A Foundation had a “higher calling than any political or cultural war.” The foundation boss was preparing the way for the shakeup that was coming in the fall. Even while he claimed that the CFA Foundation had a higher calling than a political or cultural war, he was preparing to accommodate the Left’s cultural war.

Chick-fil-A and the LGBTQ+ Movement

READ ALL ABOUT THE TRAGIC FALL OF CHICK-FIL-A AND THEIR HARD LURCH LEFTWARD

Bullard would have been seen as a safe bet. The CFA Foundation and the Christian groups it supported were so entangled that Bullard serves on the Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board and was on the National Board of Trustees of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. But Bullard’s vision was not that of charity, but of corporate social responsibility. And the two things are fundamentally different.

Charity helps people. Corporate social responsibility is virtue signaling by capitalists to anti-capitalists. Unlike charity, corporate social responsibility isn’t about helping people, but ticking off ideological and identity politics boxes like diversity and the environment. If people accidentally get helped in the process of helping a corporation signal its membership in the politically correct creed, that can’t be helped.

The Chick-fil-A Foundation will go on funding leftist groups like Atlanta’s Westside Future Fund. The Westside Future Fund is a project of the Atlanta Committee for Progress together with former Mayor Kasim Reed. It will just opt out of funding Christian groups whose views offend anyone on the Left.

The $1.7 million that the Westside Future Fund shoveled in last year from the CFA Foundation vastly outpaces the mere $115,000 that the Salvation Army got for its Angel Tree program to provide gifts for poor children during the holidays. But even that low end six figure donation was too much and the gifts had to be snatched away from the kids by leftist pressure groups and identity politics protesters.

Sorry kids, our politics are more important than your presents.

A less publicized donation of $100,000 went to Sustainable Atlanta. That could have bought a lot of gifts. There was also a $10,000 donation to Saris to Suits whose mission is to “advance women’s empowerment, education, gender equality, and social justice.”

There’s money for social justice, but not for the Salvation Army.

There was $25,000 for UNICEF and $75,000 for the Andrew Young Foundation. That last one isn’t a surprise. Carter’s radical UN ambassador sits on the CFA Foundation’s advisory board. $20,000 went to the Latino Leaders Network, another $20,000 to the Harvard Debate Diversity Network, $45,000 to the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change, and $5,000 was allotted to Friends of Refugees.

The latter boasts of resettling the sort of refugees who would demand that Chick-fil-A go Halal.

There’s money for Muslim refugees, but not for the Salvation Army.

And that’s the tip of the iceberg. “Diversity”, “equity”, and “social justice” are typical buzzwords associated with many of the organizations that the Chick-fil-A Foundation had been funding. And that’s typical of corporate social responsibility ventures which are all about pictures of smiling poor children cradling green plants accompanied by women in hijabs. There’s nothing unusual about that.

But most conservatives thought, without investigating, that Chick-fil-A was different. It wasn’t another corporate social behemoth. It didn’t answer to shareholders and stakeholders. It had a biblical vision. And, it was under fire for donating to Christian groups. But even when the CFA Foundation donated to Christian organizations, it was also pouring a lot of money into conventional social justice causes.

The controversy and arguments over the donations to organizations like the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes conveniently distracted from where a lot of the money was going.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes had received a mere $25,000 last year. Far less than the funds that poured into Andrew Young’s non-profit empire. A fig leaf.

Now the fig leaf is gone and the reality is that the Chick-fil-A Foundation is just another corporate leftist charity that lavishes cash on organizations linked to local Democrats and assorted diversity causes. Without the fig leaf, the Chick-fil-A Foundation is no different than the other corporate charities run by their own equivalents of Bullard, men and women who had spent enough time in government to get a  useless job in the corporate world, and its abandonment of Christian conservatives was an inevitability.

And the question is what will the Christians who made Chick-fil-A boom do now?

They can either fight to hold Chick-fil-A accountable or shrug and accept another loss. Most of the country’s major brands are pipelines of cash that lead directly to leftist causes. Hardly any of the money that conservatives spend on products and services every day ends up going to conservative causes.

Major brands hammer the air with ad campaigns that directly attack the values and rights of ordinary Americans. And, most Americans, including conservatives, keep on buying from the same huge conglomerates like Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Diageo (Johnny Walker), RBI (Burger King and Popeyes), General Mills, and from retailers like Walmart, Target, and Amazon, despite their leftist politics.

Chick-fil-A was supposed to be different. If there’s any company that conservatives can hold accountable, this is it. And if they can’t hold Chick-fil-A accountable, then what’s left? Accountability doesn’t just begin with restoring donations to worthy charities like the Salvation Army, but a serious reevaluation of the Chick-fil-A Foundation’s leadership and its overall charitable priorities.

If Chick-fil-A wants to be in the business of corporate social responsibility, rather than charity, it will over time become increasingly hostile to the very customers who made it successful. Corporate social responsibility will take it down the same dark road of virtue signaling and political correctness.

Then, before you know it, there will be a Chick-fil-A ad campaign about toxic masculinity. And then the legacy of its founder will be as thoroughly lost as the legacies of the founders of so many other great American companies whose modern incarnations slavishly serve anti-American causes.

That would be a tragedy. This is a test of whether that tragedy is truly inevitable.

It’s also a warning. If conservatives had paid closer attention to the Chick-fil-A Foundation’s leadership, Bullard’s $1,000 donation to Hillary Clinton in 2016 would have provided a warning of what was coming. Organizations don’t trend rightward. They trend leftward. Any organization that isn’t closely watched will go the way of the Chick-fil-A Foundation. If this can happen at Chick-fil-A, it can happen anywhere. READ MORE
