The Palestinian flag will be hoisted Tuesday at UNESCO headquarters, over a month after its admission to the UN cultural agency sparked anger and reprisals from the United States and Israel.

Palestinians wave their national flag in front of the headquarters of UNESCO in November 2011. The Palestinian flag will be hoisted Tuesday at UNESCO headquarters, over a month after its admission to the UN cultural agency sparked anger and reprisals from the United States and Israel.

President Mahmud Abbas will travel to Paris to attend the event, which led Washington to pull funding to the UN organisation, and which is seen by many as a step on the Palestinians’ road to eventual UN membership.

“President Abbas wants to show the importance he attaches to UNESCO,” said a Palestinian diplomat. “And this is the first time that the flag will be flown at the headquarters of a UN institution.”

The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation says the flag-hoisting is a symbolic ceremony “to mark Palestine’s admission to the organisation” that takes place each time a new member joins.

The Palestinians were admitted to the body in late October, when the UNESCO general assembly voted 107-14 to make Palestine its 195th member.

The result angered the United States, Israel’s staunch ally, which says the Palestinians must first reach a peace agreement with Israel before they can become full members of an international organization.

Washington immediately suspended its funding to the UN body, which selects and oversees World Heritage sites and also works in areas from literacy and media freedom to science and environmental issues.

US President Barack Obama said he had frank and firm words with his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy, voicing US disappointment because Paris had supported the Palestinian UNESCO bid.

The US cash freeze deprived UNESCO of 22 percent of its budget, leaving a hole of $65 million this year and a $143 million shortfall for 2012-2013.

This forced its director general, Irina Bokova, to announce drastic savings, even though some countries pledged exceptional contributions, among them Indonesia with $10 million and Gabon with $2 million.

Israel, for its part, took its own retaliatory measures, by deciding to accelerate settlements in East Jerusalem and the West Bank and freezing the transfer of funds to the Palestinian Authority.

Every month, Israel transfers tens of millions of dollars in customs duties on Palestinian-bound goods that transit through Israeli ports, but it often freezes them as a punitive measure during disagreements.

Faced with international criticism, Israel later lifted its freeze on the funds which represent a large chunk of the Palestinian Authority’s budget.

UNESCO membership has had no impact on the Palestinians’ bid for full UN membership. They would need nine votes out of 15 in the Security Council, but the United States has made clear that it would veto the bid.

Abbas, who reiterated on December 5 that he would push on with his campaign for UN membership, will meet Sarkozy after the UNESCO ceremony, then go on a tour that takes him to the capitals of Britain and Turkey. source – Yahoo News

The Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs Calls For ‘Death To All Jews’ Until East Jerusalem Belongs To The Muslims

In a startling revelation, an official document recently published by the supposedly moderate Palestinian Authority is shown to outline explicit calls for the murder of Jews, as it calls on imams to incite violence against Jews in Friday sermons, citing a religious text for Muslims to ‘fight the Jews’ and ‘kill them all’.

One of the big lies circulating right now is that while Hamas may be a deadly terrorist force, the Palestinian people are ‘moderate’ and should not be lumped in together with Hamas. All that sounds good as press bytes in the Liberal media, but the recent discovery of an official document from the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs proves otherwise by a factor of 10. Does ‘kill all the Jews!’ sound very moderate to you?

“Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;” Joel 3:4 (KJB)

This document instructs imams on how best to incite their followers to violence, saying that it is their religious, moral and national duty to do so. It quotes from the Hadith which says ‘ ‘O Muslim, O servant of God, this is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.’ America needs to immediately stop all aid to the Gaza, and all aid to the Palestinian people until such time as they are willing, as a people, to renounce their demonic hatred of the Jews and their desire to ‘drive Israel into the sea’.

‘Moderate’ Palestinian Authority Calls to Murder Jews: ‘Fight the Jews’ and ‘Kill’ Them All

FROM BREITBART NEWS: The document, published Friday by the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, provides comprehensive instructions for imams to incite violence in their weekly religious sermons, including inflammatory rhetoric and a message to “kill” the Jews. Imploring the Palestinian populace to uphold the preservation of public and personal property, framing it as a religious, moral, and national duty, it advocates for continued resistance.

“We call upon our Palestinian people … despite the pain and tragedies, we cannot raise a white flag until the occupation is removed and the independent Palestinian state is established with Jerusalem as its capital,” it reads.

The text then cites the Hadith (the Islamic oral tradition) that incites the murder of Jews.

“The time will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Muslims kill them; until the Jew hides behind the stones and the trees, and the stones or the trees say, ‘O Muslim, O servant of God, this is a Jew behind me, come and kill him,’” it continues.

The document was exposed Friday by the research departments of Hakol Hayehudi news site and the Regavim Movement NGO, who likened its statements to a virtual “declaration of war.” The disturbing development indicates that the supposedly “moderate” Palestinian Authority (PA) appears to endorse a perspective paralleling that of Hamas, with both groups unified in their animosity toward Jewish communities, thus dispelling any illusions of a fundamental distinction between the two.

It has also ignited concerns over potential escalations in violence against Jews, especially given the dangerous implications of granting control over territories like Gaza to such entities.

The explicit calls for violence found in the document have yet to receive a response from the global community, though President Joe Biden recently declared a $100 million humanitarian aid package for the Palestinians currently under the authority of the PA and Hamas despite having been snubbed by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas last week.

The move has seen Republicans on Capitol Hill warning against the aid package and its potential to end up in the hands of terrorists.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority, headed by Abbas, is set to disburse roughly $2.8 million to the families of dead Hamas terrorists, as reported by the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW), a media monitoring NGO. This payout is part of the “pay-for-slay” initiative, officially termed the “Martyrs’ Fund,” wherein financial rewards are granted for carrying out terrorist attacks, with higher compensation for more destructive acts. King Abdullah II Issues A Fiery Declaration That Neither Jordan Nor Egypt Will Accept Any Palestinian Refugees As It Would Be A ‘Red Line’ To Cross

‘I think I can speak here on behalf of Jordan … but also our friends in Egypt: This is a red line … no refugees to Jordan and also no refugees to Egypt,’ King Abdullah II said at the press conference.

Incredible news coming out of the Middle East today as King Abdullah II of Jordan, speaking on behalf of both Jordan and Egypt, has said that under no condition will any Palestinian refugees from Gaza be allowed into either nation. What about the ‘poor oppressed Palestinian’? They want nothing to do with them because they know that if you let them in, Hamas comes in right behind them. You know what King Abdullah is? He’s smart, a whole lot smarter than any of the jackasses in Washington wanting to import hundreds of thousands of them.

“Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;” Joel 3:4 (KJB)

The Hashemite kingdom of Jordan is a place near and dear to our hearts for one outstanding reason. It is the land where Selah Petra resides, the place where the Jewish remnant will flee to at the start of the Matthew 24:15 time of great tribulation. Christian, if you’re watching the news coming out of the Middle East and the hair is not standing up on the back of your head, then you’re only reading the news and not your King James Bible. Whether you can see it or not, it’s happening at an astonishing rate of speed.

King Abdullah of Jordan tells Olaf Scholz: We won’t take and Palestinian refugees from Gaza

FROM POLITICO: The king of Jordan poured cold water on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s hopes that neighboring Arab countries could take in Palestinian refugees who are fleeing the Gaza Strip ahead of an anticipated ground offensive by the Israeli army.

The rebuff by King Abdullah II was made Tuesday morning at a press conference with Scholz following a meeting in the chancellery in Berlin, which Scholz also used to issue a warning to Iran and to Hezbollah against intervening in the Israel-Hamas conflict.

“I think I can speak here on behalf of Jordan … but also our friends in Egypt: This is a red line … no refugees to Jordan and also no refugees to Egypt,” King Abdullah said at the press conference.

The remarks come just ahead of a trip by Scholz to Israel and Egypt, where the chancellor hopes to de-escalate tensions and improve the situation for Palestinians seeking to flee the conflict zone. A main hope for Scholz and other Western leaders is that Egypt could open its border with Gaza to allow in refugees. However, the Jordanian king downplayed the likelihood of such an event: “This is a situation that has to be handled within Gaza and the West Bank. And you don’t have to do it on the shoulders of others.”

Following the violent attack by Hamas on Israel, during which it killed more than 1,300 people, Israel told civilians to evacuate the north of the Gaza Strip as it may launch a ground offensive in a bid to eradicate Hamas and free hostages.

Scholz is heading to Israel on Tuesday to express his solidarity with the country. The chancellor will continue to Egypt on Tuesday evening, and is scheduled to meet President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on Wednesday morning.

“It is imperative that the suffering civilian population, who are being used as human shields by Hamas, receives humanitarian aid,” Scholz said at the press conference, adding that “the Palestinians are not Hamas … the Palestinian population is also a victim of Hamas.”

Scholz also issued a warning that the war must not escalate further: “I again specifically warn Hezbollah and Iran not to intervene in the conflict.” READ MORE

Prime Minister Of Israel Yair Lapid Stands Up At The United Nations Today And Said The Two State Solution Is ‘The Right Thing For Israel’s Security’

Prime Minister Yair Lapid tells UN General Assembly that implementing the Two State Solution is the right path for Israel and the Jews

Israel was regathered on May 14th, 1948, in order for millennia-old prophecy to be fulfilled, a fulfillment that requires the Jews to be back in the land. Now, these prophesies that were fulfilled in that time are not the prophecies related the permanent regathering of Israel, why? Because Israel is going to be scattered and dispersed on last time during the time of Jacob’s trouble. So you might say that Israel was ‘regathered to be scattered’, even though it makes some people mad, it is obviously a true statement.

“At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.” Zephaniah 3:20 (KJB) *this is not referring to May 14th, 1948, but to a time yet future!

So what do we need to see to advance the end times Bible prophecy timeline? We need to see Israel make a covenant with their Muslim neighbors that will be confirmed by Antichrist after the Rapture, the Abraham Accords checks that box rather nicely. Next, we need to see an Israel willing to ‘divide the land’ in violation of the Old Testament prophets found in places like Joel 3:1,2 (KJB). Just so happens that today at the United Nations, the Israeli Prime Minister said the Jews are ready to sign off on that as well. If that happens, sell the farm, you’re going Home.

Lapid tells UN Palestinian state right for Israel but can’t be terror base

FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: The future Palestinian state that will exist next to Israel must be peaceful and not terror-based, Prime Minister Yair Lapid told the UN General Assembly on Thursday afternoon, just before returning to Israel. If that condition is met, then the best path forward is “an agreement with the Palestinians based on two states for two peoples,” Lapid said. This “is the right thing for Israel’s security, for Israel’s economy and for the future of our children.”

A two-state solution “is the right thing for Israel’s security, for Israel’s economy and for the future of our children.”

His statement about a future Palestinian state and his affirmation of a two-state resolution to the conflict marks the strongest language an Israeli premier has used with regard to Palestinian sovereignty since the days of prime minister Ehud Olmert. It is the first time since 2016 that an Israeli leader has spoken of the two-state solution when addressing the UNGA.

“Despite all the obstacles, still today a large majority of Israelis support the vision of this two-state solution. I am one of them,” Lapid said.

How will a future Palestinian state look?

“We have only one condition: That a future Palestinian state will be a peaceful one, that it will not become another terror base from which to threaten the well-being and the very existence of Israel. Peace is not a compromise. It is the most courageous decision we can make. Peace is not weakness. It embodies within it the entire might of human spirit,” he said.

Lapid arrived in New York on Tuesday morning to join the world leaders gathered for the high-level opening sessions of the 77th UNGA. He arrived at a time when it appeared that US President Joe Biden’s efforts to revive the 2015 Iran deal had come to a standstill. In his meetings with world leaders and in his speech to the plenum, Lapid said the time had come to abandon that document and to negotiate a new deal.

“The only way to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon is to put a credible military threat on the table.” – Prime Minister Yair Lapid

“And then – and only then – to negotiate a longer and stronger deal with them. It needs to be made clear to Iran that if it advances its nuclear program, the world will not respond with words, but with military force. Every time a threat like that was put on the table in the past, Iran stopped, and retreated.”

He linked Iran’s threats to annihilate the Jewish state with the Holocaust. Lapid swore that Israel would do everything it could to safeguard its citizens and to stop Iran destroying its state.

“We will do whatever it takes: Iran will not get a nuclear weapon. We will not stand by while there are those who try to kill us. Not again. Never again,” he said. READ MORE
