So What Happened To Obama’s Stained Glass Backdrop At The 2012 DNC?
Sep 8th
A radical change in plans
The 2012 DNC Convention was all set. They had re-written their platform language to remove all references to God, and more importantly, all references to Jerusalem as being the (rightful) capital of Israel. And just like in 2008, they were all set to “remind” their faithful worshippers that Barack Hussein Obama was their messiah.

The DNC built a massive faux stained glass edifice to showcase their “messiah” Barack Hussein Obama when he takes the stage to address his worshippers. But that day never came…
Many stories were written in the days leading up to the convention about all the street vendors selling religious-themed calendars and artwork depicting Obama variously as 1). a fulfillment of bible prophecy, and 2). the messiah. We reported it like this:
“One poster features an image of the president in prayer with the headline, “Prophecy Fulfilled.”
“Barak is of Hebrew origin and its meaning is ‘flash of lightning,” the poster notes, referencing a passage in in the Old Testament book of Judges.
Hussein, they allege, is a Biblical word meaning “good and handsome.” “So you see, Barak was destined to be a good and handsome man that would rise like a flash of lightning to win victory in a battle against overwhelming odds,” the poster read.
We also reported that the DNC had constructed another amazing and massively inappropriate edifice to showcase their hero. You’ll recall that the 2008 convention acceptance speech, given before a crowd of 80,000 worshippers featured a Greek temple backdrop. So this year, the plan was to showcase Obama in front of a stained glass structure, like some kind of faux-christ (you’ll notice we did not use the word “anti”, lol). We showed you the photo supplied via Fox News.
Everything was all set for Obama to receive worship…
…but a funny thing happened on the way to the Church of the DNC
The DNC was as confident as could be in their platform, until September 4 came along like a bolt out of the blue and effectively decimated their plans.
That was the day that the Romney and Company revealed to the world that not only did the DNC platform scrub all references to God that were in the 2008 language, but they also removed any and all references to Jerusalem being recognized by the Dems as the “eternal, indivisible capital of Israel.
A hew and cry went up across the height and breadth of social media land depicting the Democrats as “godless” and “anti-semitic”, and the criticism stuck. It stuck to such a degree that radical and speedy changes were demanded by Obama in secret, back-room meetings late in to the night.
An illegal vote forced on the delegates
The first thing to go was anything and everything putting Obama on a pedestal. His speech was re-written and pared down in an attempt to give him the “common man” touch. Most of the flowery and rhetorical language stripped and scrubbed away.
The next thing to go was the massive, stained glass backdrop that had seemed like such a good idea just a day earlier. And the last thing to occur was an illegal vote in direct conflict with establish convention rules of order. The vote was necessary to somehow jam the removed references to God and Jerusalem as Israel’s capital back in.
During the proceedings Wednesday, Villaraigosa asked convention delegates three times to approve by voice-vote a motion reinstating language that had been dropped from the official party platform, declaring that “Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel.” Despite a loud chorus of “No!” and some boos that appeared to be at least as loud as those shouting “Yes,” Villaraigosa declared the motion to have passed by the required two-thirds vote.
This is where the illegal part occurred. Convention rules state that a full two-thirds of delegates must approve any vote to change the platform. Watch the video and listen for yourself as Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa gulps hard on the third time he is forced to take the vote, and it is OBVIOUS that he has nothing remotely approaching a two-thirds approval. Hmmm, what is a Dem to do? He did the only thing he could, being charged by his liberal masters to secure the vote at all costs – he simply said that the “people have voted to approve” and then ran off the stage. But don’t take our word for it, watch it for yourself, and listen to what he says and how the delegates respond. By the third time he attempts to force it on them, they are angrily shouting “no! no! we don’t approve”. Why no one has started legal action is beyond me, but such is life in the mind of the Far Left Liberal.
So as you see, when the blogosphere exposed the seamy inner-workings of the 2012 DNC, massive re-writing and re-scripting took place, and the convention that was presented bore little to no resemblance to the grandiose spectacle of Obama “praise and worship” that they had planned. And for that, we thank you, our loyal readers, for helping to expose just a little bit of the present darkness that has fallen on our nation since January 21, 2008.
And if you’re interested, I just happen to know where you can pick up a never-used, 2012 stained glass backdrop for free. It’s in a dumpster in Charlotte, NC. Forward! (lol)…
Rising Muslim-Democrat Furor Over Obama’s Jerusalem Flip-Flop Platform Vote
Sep 7th
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Democratic party’s abrupt platform reversal on Jerusalem — reinstating language describing it as the capital of Israel despite loud objections from the Democratic National Convention floor — stirred fresh and unexpected controversy Thursday in Charlotte as Arab-American and Muslim party officials expressed anger over how the issue was handled and predicted that it may suppress Democratic votes this fall among constituents in key swing states.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa found himself at the center of the controversy on Wednesday over whether to include in the Democratic Party platform the statement that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, when he rammed the proposal through on a voice vote in which the “yeas” did not come close to drowning out the “nays.”
“I’m concerned that Arab-Americans will feel they got punched in the solar plexus,” said James Zogby, the president of the Arab-American Institute who serves on the Democratic Party’s platform committee. “This was ham-fisted and a blunder … They stepped all over the convention the way this was done.”
Zogby, who has long served as a key party liaison to the Arab-American community, made his comments Thursday outside a luncheon meeting of the Muslim Democratic caucus, a group that consists of 112 delegates. Many of those present shared his outrage, especially at Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the convention chairman.
During the proceedings Wednesday, Villaraigosa asked convention delegates three times to approve by voice-vote a motion reinstating language that had been dropped from the official party platform, declaring that “Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel.”
Despite a loud chorus of “No!” and some boos that appeared to be at least as loud as those shouting “Yes,” Villaraigosa declared the motion to have passed by the required two-thirds vote.
Most political analysts have portrayed the Jerusalem issue as a potent one because of its potential impact on Jewish voters. But Zogby and others at the luncheon noted that Arab-Americans and Muslim-American voters are a growing and important voting block: The number of Muslim Americans — now about 2.6 million – is expected to double to 6.2 million by 2030. Moreover, their numbers are especially concentrated in key swing states such as Ohio and Florida: There are, for example, currently 124,000 Muslim voters in Florida alone. source – NBC Politics
Obama’s State Department Today AGAIN Refuses To Name The Capital Of Israel
Sep 7th
Jerusalem, O Jerusalem
“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” Zechariah 12:3
The State Department today again refused to name the capital of Israel, even after being questioned by the press and even after the Democratic party (President Obama’s party) voted yesterday to add language to its platform stating that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.
Here’s the remarkable exchange from today’s press briefing, with reporters and press secretary Patrick Ventrell:
QUESTION: On Israel?
MR. VENTRELL: Yeah.
QUESTION: Which city does the U.S. Government recognize as the capital in the – Israel?
MR. VENTRELL: Well, as you know, longstanding Administration policy, both in this Administration and in previous administrations across both parties, is that the status of Jerusalem is an issue that should be resolved in final status negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians. So that’s longstanding Administration policy and continues to be so.
QUESTION: I mean, no city is recognized as a capital by the U.S. Government?
MR. VENTRELL: Again, I just stated our position, and it’s one we’ve said here many times before.
QUESTION: That means Jerusalem is not a part of Israel?
MR. VENTRELL: What it means is that the status of Jerusalem must be resolved in final status negotiations.
QUESTION: But you do have an Embassy in a city which is not Jerusalem.
MR. VENTRELL: Our Embassy is in Tel Aviv, and we have a Consulate General in Jerusalem.
QUESTION: Right. But I mean, if you have an Embassy, usually it’s in the capital; so therefore, it would appear that you believe that Tel Aviv is the capital.
MR. VENTRELL: What we believe is that the status of Jerusalem should be determined in final status negotiations between the two parties. And currently, our Embassy is in Tel Aviv.
QUESTION: Are there any other countries in the world where the U.S. doesn’t know what the capital is or won’t say what the capital of a country is?
QUESTION: What does the U.S. think the capital of Israel is? What do you –
MR. VENTRELL: As I’ve just said, we believe that the status of Jerusalem is an issue that should be resolved in final status –
QUESTION: I’m not asking you that question. I’m asking you what you think the capital is.
MR. VENTRELL: And my response is that Jerusalem is an issue that should be resolved in final status negotiations.
QUESTION: She didn’t ask about Jerusalem, though.
MR. VENTRELL: Look, this is something we’ve been through at this podium. Toria has been through it before. We’ve repeated it many times. You know that the position is. It hasn’t changed for decades.
QUESTION: Wait, I know that. And I don’t want to play the verbal game, I’m just very curious if you actually have a position about a capital of that country. And if you don’t, if – I just would like to hear you say you don’t.
MR. VENTRELL: Well, right now, Nicole –
QUESTION: Yes.
MR. VENTRELL: – the situation is that we have an Embassy in Tel Aviv that represents our interests with the Government of Israel but that the issue of Jerusalem is one that has to be resolved between the two parties. That’s all I can say on this.
Anything else? Thank you. source – Weekly Standard
Jews REJECT Obama’s Reinstatement Of ‘Jerusalem’ Language In Platform
Sep 6th
The addition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital to the Democratic platform does not make up for the party’s original intentions, Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin said on Thursday
“I have no doubt that [US President Barack] Obama put Jerusalem back in his party’s platform out of political and electoral considerations and because of the sharp criticism from Israel and the US,” Rivlin stated.
Democrats amended the party platform Wednesday afternoon to include language supporting Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The last-minute change came in the wake of mounting criticism from Democratic members of Congress incensed that the 2008 platform’s declaration backing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel had been removed from the 2012 text. Sources close to the platform drafting process said Obama personally intervened on reinstating the Jerusalem language.
The whole 2012 platform was originally adopted during the Democratic convention Tuesday night.
The Knesset Speaker said that the DNC did not remove Jerusalem from the platform “by mistake or because of forgetfulness,” and the change was not a coincidence that can be explained away by not paying attention.
“The fact that the Democrats removed a united Jerusalem as Israel’s capital from their platform is more worrying than the argument over Iran,” Rivlin told The Jerusalem Post.
“This is a problematic sign, indicating the gradual reduction of the American government’s strategic commitment to Israel,” he explained. On Wednesday, prior to the reinstatement of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in the DNC platform, Rivlin had stated that Obama does not understand the realities of the Middle East. source – JPost
DNC Platform Throws Israel Under The Bus Removes ‘Jerusalem As Capital’ Language
Sep 4th
In the 2008 Democratic party platform, there was this language on Jerusalem, Israel:
“Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.”
This year, however, that language has been removed. Indeed, there is no mention of Jerusalem in the 2012 party platform adopted by Democrats.
In this year’s Democratic platform, there is this boilerplate language about Israel:
President Obama and the Democratic Party maintain an unshakable commitment to Israel’s security. A strong and secure Israel is vital to the United States not simply because we share strategic interests, but also because we share common values. For this reason, despite budgetary constraints, the President has worked with Congress to increase security assistance to Israel every single year since taking office, providing nearly $10 billion in the past three years. The administration has also worked to ensure Israel’s qualitative military edge in the region. And we have deepened defense cooperation – including funding the Iron Dome system – to help Israel address its most pressing threats, including the growing danger posed by rockets and missiles emanating from the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. The President’s consistent support for Israel’s right to defend itself and his steadfast opposition to any attempt to delegitimize Israel on the world stage are further evidence of our enduring commitment to Israel’s security.
It is precisely because of this commitment that President Obama and the Democratic Party seek peace between Israelis and Palestinians. A just and lasting Israeli-Palestinian accord, producing two states for two peoples, would contribute to regional stability and help sustain Israel’s identity as a Jewish and democratic state. At the same time, the President has made clear that there will be no lasting peace unless Israel’s security concerns are met. President Obama will continue to press Arab states to reach out to Israel. We will continue to support Israel’s peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan, which have been pillars of peace and stability in the region for many years. And even as the President and the Democratic Party continue to encourage all parties to be resolute in the pursuit of peace, we will insist that any Palestinian partner must recognize Israel’s right to exist, reject violence, and adhere to existing agreements.
But as yidwithlid.blogspot.com notes, this language is far weaker than the 2008 language:
The United States and its Quartet partners should continue to isolate Hamas until it renounces terrorism, recognizes Israel’s right to exist, and abides by past agreements. Sustained American leadership for peace and security will require patient efforts and the personal commitment of the President of the United States. The creation of a Palestinian state through final status negotiations, together with an international compensation mechanism, should resolve the issue of Palestinian refugees by allowing them to settle there, rather than in Israel. All understand that it is unrealistic to expect the outcome of final status negotiations to be a full and complete return to the armistice lines of 1949. Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths. source – Weekly Standard
The Palestinian Islamic-’Christian’ Alliance Is The Enemy Of Israel
Aug 29th
Stealing Jerusalem from the Jews
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:16-18
Let me just say right off the bat that if you are a bible-believing Christian, this story will make you mad. Very mad. Let me also say that the so-called “christian” groups mentioned in this alliance of devils – mainly the Greek Orthodox, Anglican and Catholic churches – are not Christian churches by the bible’s definition, and in NO WAY speak for the hundreds of millions of actual bible-believing Christians across the globe. These groups are the ENEMY of Christ, the enemy of bible believers, and the absolute enemy of the state of Israel and every Jew that resides in it. The World Council of Churches is a pit of devils and they speak for no bible-believing Christian church that we know of. These groups are christian in name only, and are rejected by actual, bible-believing Christians around the world.

Jerusalem will always be the capital city of Israel, and all those who oppose her will be destroyed according the prophets.
We stand in complete and total solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel when we declare that Jerusalem is the now-and-forever-capital of Israel, declared to be so by God Almighty, and this is a covenant that shall never be broken.
From Arutz Sheva Op-Ed: The Temple Mount, the place where Avraham came to sacrifice his son to God, the site of the first and second Jewish Temples, where the Jewish people worshiped for hundreds of years and the focal point of every practicing Jew’s prayers, is under assault from the Islamic-Christian Committee.
This relatively new Palestinian institution has been able to win the support not only of the entire regional Christian leadership, but also of leading Christian personalities from abroad.
The Islamic-Christian Commission has just warned that the Israeli authorities are working to impose “a false Jewish history” in Jerusalem, “the occupied city”, especially “on the area known to Jews as the Temple Mount”. The Commission warned of new “Judaization”. Such fabricated lies help the Palestinians to conquer a seat in theinternational agencies like Unesco and to excite the Muslims against the Jews.
The Vatican’s former archbishop in Jerusalem, Michel Sabbah, who is involved in advancing Islamic-Christian alliance, promoted an appeal to the European Union and United States to “stop the Hebraization of Jerusalem”. The new Latin Patriarch, Fouad Twal, took part in a meeting in London with Anglican Archbishop Rowan Williams of Canterbury, in which the Vatican envoy denounced the “more than 550.000 Israelis living in East Jerusalem and the West Bank” and “the demography of Jerusalem changing rapidly with the sacred space being threatened”.
The Islamic-Christian Committee was founded by the former Greek Orthodox Archbishop Atallah Hanna and enjoys the participation of Catholic leaders like Claudette Habesch, Secretary General of Caritas Jerusalem for the last 25 years, which is the most important Vatican humanitarian arm in the world. Hanna called for the creation of an Islamic-Christian union that would “release Palestine from the river to the sea”.
He also supported the suicide attacks against the Israeli civilians: “The suicide bombers who carry out their activities in the name of religion are national heroes and we’re proud of them”, Hanna said.
Along with Hassan Khater, who wrote the Al Quds and Al Aqsa Encyclopedia, the Christian-Islamic Committee also enjoys the participation of Sheikh Tamimi, the most high profile Islamic judge of the Palestinian Authority, deported by Israel temporarily in 1980 after terrorists killed six Jewish students in Hevron and a self-professed anti-Semite.
“Perhaps one day the world will awake and realize that these Zionist elements are the bloodletters who hang on the peoples, sucking their blood and consuming their resources”, Tamimi has said.
This Islamic-Christian Committee was pivotal during the Second Intifada in raising the false alarm on the “holy sites” endangered by Israel. In May 2000, Yasser Arafat met Islamic and Christian clergymen, led by Tamimi and Archimandrite Hanna, at the presidential offices in Ramallah. A few weeks later, before the Camp David summit, Jerusalem’s Christian patriarchs backed Palestinian sovereignty over Jerusalem.
Among the clergymen, Diodoros I, patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church, Torkom II, patriarch of the Armenian Orthodox Church and Catholic Patriarch Michel Sabbah. Officials from the Custody of the Holy Land, a Franciscan-Vatican order with special authority over Christian sites, were also present at the meeting.
PA’s President Mahmoud Abbas is now following in Arafat’s path. Speaking at theInternational Conference for Defense of Jerusalem in Doha, Qatar, Abbas recently said that “the Israeli occupation authorities are using the ugliest and most dangerous means to implement plans to erase and remove the Arab-Islamic and the Christian character of east Jerusalem”. The conference’s purpose, under the auspices of the Islamic-Christian Committee, is to combat the “Judaization of Jerusalem”.
There were many Christian figures attending the event, like Elias Awad of the Catholic Patriarchate of Jerusalem, Patriarch Gabi Hachem of the Liqa Center and Bishop Georgi Panossian, Primate of the Armenian Orthodox Church.
The United Nations also sent several high profile officials, Robert Serry, UN Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, and Filippo Grandi, Commissioner General of Unrwa.
Abbas denied Jewish history on the Temple Mount and stated that Israel plans to destroy the Al Aqsa Mosque, a lie designed to incite Muslims to rise up against Jews.
Recently, the World Council of Churches also incited against the “occupation”, “settlements” and Jewish rights in Jerusalem.
As historian Bat Ye’or explained, in a large number of documents going back to the 1970s, the Organization of the Islamic Conference recommended “cooperation with Churches in the fight against Israel”. This emerged from a conference held in Amman in 2004 as part of the Muslim-Christian dialogue. The official theme was the protection against Israel of Muslim and Christian holy places in Jerusalem. At the Amman conference, the speakers emphasized the importance of “Muslim-Christian solidarity” in the fight to seize al Quds and to drive Israel out of it.
Their proposals included the adoption of the Muslim and Christian sites in Jerusalem by mosques, churches and monasteries, and by Muslim and Christian institutions worldwide. “Promoting al Quds would be done through films, television, songs, and festivals, under the supervision of a special Muslim and Christian cell that would be working with all the appropriate means”.
23 December, 1995, is the date of the turning point for the Islamic-Christian alliance against the Jews in Jerusalem. The Greek Orthodox patriarch of the holy land, Deodorus I, handed over the custody of Churches in Jerusalem to PLO leader Arafat. This was done in the presence of the Catholic, Anglican and Greek Orthodox archbishops.
The patriarch declared: “I am the heir of Sophronius and I am handing the keys (to Christian holy sites in Jerusalem) to the heir of Omar Ibn al-Khattab”. Omar, the caliph who claimed Jerusalem from Byzantine rule in 638, gave then Patriarch Sophronius custody of Churches and a pledge to safeguard them. The move was meant to put Christian holy places under the custody of Arafat, a Muslim, and strengthening the Arab-Islamic claim to Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian state.
Why did Arafat desire the mention of this 1,300-year-old story? He saw himself as conquering Jerusalem a second time in history for the Muslims.
Any reference to Omar simply means, “Jerusalem must be Judenrein”.
The final goal of this Muslim-Christian dialogue is to erase any Jewish presence in the so called “holy basin”, an alliance of the mosques and the sepulcher which will exclude the Jews from the Temple Mount.
As the early Christians had left the Temple deliberately in ruins, it’s now the turn of the Islamicized Mount to keep it that way. Will this new Islamic-Christian alliance able to convince the European Union, the UN and the US to baptize Jerusalem “Al Quds”? source – Arutz Sheva
Ahmadinejad Said Today That ‘World Forces Must Strive To Annihilate Israel’
Aug 2nd
How God sees Zionism: “Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.” Psalm 129:5
In a speech published on his website Thursday, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the ultimate goal of world forces must be the annihilation of Israel.
Speaking to ambassadors from Islamic countries ahead of ‘Qods Day’ (‘Jerusalem Day’), an annual Iranian anti-Zionist event established in 1979 by Ayatollah Khomeini and which falls this year on August 17, Ahmadinejad said that a “horrible Zionist current” had been managing world affairs for “about 400 years.”
It was Zionists, he said, who were “behind the scene of the world’s main powers, media, monetary and banking centers.”
“They are the decision makers, to the extent that the presidential election hopefuls [of the USA] must go and kiss the feet of the Zionists to ensure their election victory,” he added.
Ahmadinejad added that “liberating Palestine” would solve all the world’s problems, although he did not elaborate on exactly how that might work.
“Qods Day is not merely a strategic solution for the Palestinian problem, as it is to be viewed as a key for solving the world problems,” he said.
He added: “Anyone who loves freedom and justice must strive for the annihilation of the Zionist regime in order to pave the way for world justice and freedom.”
The Iranian president said that Israel reinforced “the dominance of arrogant powers in the region and across the globe” and that Arab countries in particular – he cited Bahrain, Yemen, Libya, Syria and Turkey – were affected by Israel’s “plots.”
Ahmadinejad, who has called the Holocaust a myth, has previously called for Israel’s annihilation, in a 2005 speech in which he used a Persian phrase that translates literally as “wiped off the page of time.” source – JPost
