“Diplomatic relations between Canada and Iran have been suspended,” the minister said in a statement. “All Canadian diplomatic staff have left Iran, and Iranian diplomats in Ottawa have been instructed to leave within five days.”
The Harper government has repeatedly described Iran as the greatest threat to global security.

The Canadians are doing what the U.S. has not been able to accomplish: Eliminating the money-losing penny. The Canadian government has announced that it will stop distributing the Canadian penny beginning in the fall, with the gradual goal of removing it from circulation.

The move, unveiled as part of the Canadian government’s overall budget proposal, comes down to cold, hard cash. That is, the cash that can be saved by removing the penny from circulation.
The government said it expects it can save about $11 million Canadian dollars (about $11 million USD) a year by not supplying the penny, because the cost to produce a penny is more than the penny’s face value.
The Canadian government said in a release that, by contrast, the other coins it makes are worth more than the cost of production.
The government said people can continue to use pennies for as long as they want, and non-cash transactions will still go to the penny. But as they gradually are removed from circulation, people should begin rounding to the nearest denomination. The government laid out ways to do that.
The United States is in the same situation when it comes to coin making, but we have yet to eliminate any of our beloved coins.
It takes about 2.4 cents to make a U.S. penny, and a whopping 11.18 cents to make a nickel. That’s why the U.S. Treasury secretary has proposed cheaper manufacturing and administrative methods aimed at reducing production costs.
The Canadians said they are joining the ranks of other countries that have removed their lowest-denomination coin from circulation, including Australia, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. source – MSNBC
Baby Joseph Holds Onto Life, Thanks To America

There is a little thirteen month old Canadian baby, whose family would be in mourning right now planning his funeral, instead thanks to America and the group Priests for Life, his parents can hold on to him a little longer as they yearned to do. Just hours before the government-run Canadian health care system was to take baby Joseph off life support, America came to his rescue. Baby Joseph was transferred last night to SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri to undergo a tracheotomy.
I wrote last week on the fact that nations continually come against America for stepping in, being war mongers or invaders while ignoring all the good we do. However, its stories like these that are rarely talked about that exemplify the heart of many Americans. Its stories like these that exemplify what makes America unique from other nations.
The Canadian health care system chose to deny these parents a few more moments whether it be weeks or months with their son. The Canadian doctors said due to the fact that baby Joseph suffers from a progressive neurological disease which ultimately leaves him in a vegetative state that he’s beyond recovery. So that means that the parents’ wishes aren’t recognized? Does that mean we just pull the plug with no regard for the wants of the family to have a little more time and to make a few more memories with their son? Does that give the doctors the right to make the decision of the family? Come on “pro-choicers” where’s the choice in this? Look ahead America because that is what Obamacare is all about; rationing and the government playing the role of Doctor. Take this as a major warning sign. If America turns into another government-run, Socialist system (which is well on its way thanks to the Doc-In-Chief) where will cases like those of baby Joseph go?
Thanks to the hearts of some, the parents of Joseph will have a little more time with him. They will have a little more time to hold his small hand, kiss his cheeks and maybe get a few more smiles until its God’s time, not the governments’ to take him home.
Time To Pull Planned Parenthood’s Breathing Tube

As the legislature tries to avoid a government shutdown, there is one issue on the table that Conservatives demand remain: the defunding of abortion giant Planned Parenthood. In their attempts to continue receiving tax payer dollars to commit their baby executions, Planned Parenthood has now launched a 200,000 dollar ad trying to dissuade the Senate from passing the bill which will pull funding.
The ad features Carolyn Smithers who implies she was diagnosed at a Planned Parenthood with cervical cancer. The ad intends to show the ‘’non-abortion” services the facilities provide. Let’s just take a look at some of the ‘’non-abortion’’ services they provide. Various videos have surfaced showing employees of Planned Parenthood helping those posing as underage sex trafficking victims receive abortions. They have also been filmed providing STD tests for victims of child sex trade. The abortion clinics have also falsely claimed to provide mammograms. Great services right America? Don’t be deceived. Planned Parenthood’s own recent report said that in 2009 they carried about more infant executions than any prior year. They have yet to tally all the deaths from 2010 so the most recent numbers from 2009 indicate that over 322,000 abortions were carried out. Furthermore of all the women who go to ‘’seek’’ services at Planned Parenthood, 97.6% leave childless while a mere 2% actually receive ‘’non-abortion’’ services. So let Planned Parenthood try to convince Americans that their tax dollars go for other so-called services.
Speaker Boehner just recently spoke of his intentions to protect the unborn and retain the amendment in the current proposed budget to pull funding from Planned Parenthood. However, now there is fear among some Republicans that the abortion issue could hold up the budget from passing in the Senate due to the fact that the Senate is infested with pro abortion members. The left is hell bent on protecting the murders of over one million babies annually and they want you to pay for it. Heaven forbid we pull funding from a group that makes their living on dismembering babies in the womb! To them it’s more important a death row inmates arm is swabbed with an alcohol pad prior to their lethal injection.
The hypocrisy on the left is alive and well. The past few months we have been hearing the left go after Arizona’s governor Jan Brewer for pulling transplant funding from some who are receiving funds from AHCCCS (Arizona’s Health Care Cost Containment System). Governor Brewer really had no choice in the matter due to the fact that she has limited places from which she can cut the debt ridden budget. No doubt she did this with a heavy heart. The left took this opportunity to jump on the compassion band wagon as they try to convince Americans they truly care about the right to life. This is nothing but a politically expedient moment for the left to try to paint the right as uncaring, selfish death panel members. The only death panel members I see are those in the House and Senate who refuse to defund Planned Parenthood immediately.
There is a little boy right now in London, Ontario named Joseph whose life is in the hands of a Canadian court. Baby Joseph’s parents are fighting a Canadian hospital in their attempts to prevent the hospital from removing little Joseph’s breathing tube. Thirteen month old Joseph has a degenerative disorder that will more than likely take his young life. However, the family wants a tracheotomy put in place so they can at least take little Joseph home for a while before he passes. The Canadian hospital is refusing. Now the family is turning to America for help. Father Frank Pavone is offering to pay for the boy’s surgery and trip for the family to come to America so they can have the surgery done here. The family of the late Terri Shaivo who was brutally dehydrated and starved to death in 2001 after a Florida court ordered her tube to be removed is standing by baby Joseph’s parents’ side.

Not only is this story tear at the heart strings of anyone who has an iota for the sanctity of life but it should serve as a major sneak peek at what America will be facing under Obama Care. When activist judges are allowed to rule as they did in Roe vs. Wade regarding who should survive and who shouldn’t, we are playing the role of God. Citizens of others nations such as the parents of baby Joseph who turn to America to save the life of their child, see that special spark America has regarding life that no other nation does. So why is America tarnishing that image by allowing for the deaths of millions of babies annually? That is what is so special about our nation is that the majority of us do see the sanctity of life in all cases whether it be a 2 month old baby in the womb or a forty-one year old woman in Florida.
Life is not a choice but it is a gift from God. If America fails to understand this truth, it will lead us down a dark path. The problem is when we get activists judges who play God in deciding when life really begins, we are playing with fire. Why are there wars? Why are there people who travel thousands of miles to feed those who can’t feed themselves? Why are there brave souls who risk their lives in order to give others the freedom they have been denied? It all rest with one truth; the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Without that right for EVERY life to have a chance, every single other issue in the world is meaningless.
If the Senate chooses to hold up the Republicans budget partly in defiance to the defunding of Planned Parenthood, America will see the heart and soul of the left. Their hypocrisy of being the compassionate party will be exemplified and the lives of millions of unborn children will rest on their shoulders.
