Has Facebook Alerted You To WW3 Breaking Out? It’s A Hack Attempt!
Fake story about U.S. attacking Iran and Saudi Arabia is cyber crime attack
A fake news page saying, ‘U.S. attacks Iran and Saudi Arabia, the begin (sic) of World War 3,’ is the latest virus scam to circulate on Facebook. The story uses CNN’s logos, and appears to offer video footage of a breaking news story, but says users need to upgrade their Flash video software to watch.

The fake news story directs users to a video, which then asks them to update their video player. The 'updated player' is in fact a Trojan that infects their PC
When they ‘upgrade’, they in fact infect their PC with a trojan. Security experts Sophos reported at least 60,000 people have already fallen victim. Cyber criminals have begun using fake news headlines to lure in victims on social networks such as Facebook.
Videos are often used as ‘bait’, because computer users are used to upgrading video software such as Flash, so installing software does not set off alarm bells.
‘Naked Security has seen a worrying number of Facebook users posting the same status messages today, claiming that the United States has attacked Iran and Saudi Arabia in a move heralding the beginning of World War 3,’ said Graham Cluley of Sophos’s Naked Security blog.
‘Within the first three hours of this malware campaign, some 60,000 Facebook users had been duped into visiting the malicious link.’
‘What isn’t entirely clear at this point is how the message is being shared by so many Facebook profiles.’
‘It’s possible that malicious code on users’ computers is sending the message to Facebook without users knowing. To be on the safe side, you should scan your computer with up-to-date anti-virus software and ensure you have the latest security patches in place.’ source – Daily Mail UK

I NEVER believe crap on farcebook that says anything about some important thing to do with the world UNLESS I see it on the news media first! We have all seen crap posted on FB before it is posted on LEGIMIATE news agencies such as Reuiters or CNN or AP!
When it comes to FB if it isn’t someone I have had as a freind for more than an hour AND if it’s been linked through them then I
D O N O T C L I C K ! until it’s been verified or scanned by a reputable Virus, malware and other dangerous trogan attempts.
Remember do not click on any what could not be happening when it wasn’t being plastered on the web!
We ALL know that we would have to stage and prepare to “attack” Iran and it’s NOT some hidden sneek in the back door happening! It will be a tad bit harder than flying a Battalion in when they have 800,000 troops waiting on us due to morons screaming we’re on the way stirring the idiots in Iran up!
