No longer partners

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things arejust, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)

Planned Parenthood and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, two iconic organizations that have assisted millions of women for years, are no longer partners. The nation’s leading breast-cancer charity severed its ties with Planned Parenthood affiliates.

Komen says the key reason is that Planned Parenthood is under investigation in Congress – a probe launched by a conservative Republican who was urged to act by anti-abortion groups. Komen spokeswoman Leslie Aun said the charity recently adopted criteria barring grants to organizations that are under investigation by local, state or federal authorities.

The divide is wrenching for some of those who’ve learned about it and admire both organizations.

“We’re kind of reeling,” said Patrick Hurd, who is CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Virginia – recipient of a 2010 grant from Komen – and whose wife, Betsi, is a veteran of several Komen fundraising races and is currently battling breast cancer.

“It sounds almost trite, going through this with Betsi, but cancer doesn’t care if you’re pro-choice, anti-choice, progressive, conservative,” Hurd said. “Victims of cancer could care less about people’s politics.”

Planned Parenthood said the Komen grants totaled roughly $680,000 last year and $580,000 the year before, going to at least 19 of its affiliates for breast-cancer screening and other breast-health services.

“It’s hard to understand how an organization with whom we share a mission of saving women’s lives could have bowed to this kind of bullying,” Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, told The Associated Press. “It’s really hurtful.”

Anti-abortion groups, in contrast, welcomed the news. The Alliance Defense Fund praised Komen “for seeing the contradiction between its lifesaving work and its relationship with an abortionist that has ended millions of lives.”

“While it is regrettable when changes in priorities and policies affect any of our grantees, such as a long-standing partner like Planned Parenthood, we must continue to evolve to best meet the needs of the women we serve and most fully advance our mission,” said a statement issued by Komen Tuesday.

Largest provider of abortions in the U.S.

Planned Parenthood has over 800 health centers nationwide and is the largest provider of abortions in the U.S. It provides an array of other services as well, including cancer screening – according to Planned Parenthood, its centers performed more than 4 million breast exams over the past five years, including nearly 170,000 as a result of Komen grants.

Komen, founded in 1982, has invested more than $1.9 billion since then in breast-cancer research, health services and advocacy. Its Race for the Cure fundraising events have become a global phenomenon. Still, Komen has been a target of anti-abortion groups since it began its partnerships with Planned Parenthood in 2005.

New policies call for severing ties

Susan G. Komen for the Cure said in a statement that it’s decision had to do with new policies that stemmed from an internal review of its granting process, not politics.

“We are dismayed and extremely disappointed that actions we have taken to strengthen our granting process have been widely mischaracterized,” a spokesperson for Susan G. Komen for the Cure told CBS News in an emailed statement.  “We regret that these new policies have impacted some longstanding grantees, such as Planned Parenthood, but want to be absolutely clear that our grant-making decisions are not about politics.” – source – CBS News

When thousands of anti-abortion rights activists gather for March For Life in Washington, D.C., on Friday, President Trump will be there.

Donald Trump will make history today as the first-ever US president actively still serving who has addressed the March For Life anti-abortion gathering in Washington, DC. Donald Trump continues to defy expectations, and to the eternal consternation of the Democrats who hate him beyond logic or reason, Donald Trump is going to have a bang-up day today.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:” Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJB)

The hate-spewing Liberals who spend their days and weeks conspiring against him must be wondering what magic power he has to constantly be able to escape out of their clutches time and time, and time again. What they don’t understand, and cannot understand, is that God placed Donald Trump in power to shake things up. And that is exactly what is happening.

You can watch his speech live in the live stream box at the bottom of the article. Enjoy, and pray for our president, someone just might take a shot at him today.

President Trump To Face Friendly Crowd At March For Life

FROM NPR: It’s the first time a sitting president will address the March for Life, an annual event organized decades ago in response to the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion nationwide.

Trump will face a friendly audience at a key moment — with his impeachment trial underway, and just months to go before the 2020 election. The president has leaned in to his connection to religious and social conservatives, frequently praising “the evangelicals” who comprise a key portion of his base, and courting anti-abortion rights groups like the Susan B. Anthony List.

That group’s president, Marjorie Dannenfelser, called Trump’s appearance at the march “a moment of celebration for the pro-life movement.” In an interview with NPR, she said it’s a reminder of how far Trump has come in the minds of some conservatives who were initially skeptical because of his past support for abortion rights.

“Everyone doubted where he was on the abortion issue. He stated what he believed. There were doubts all over — I mean, I was one of them,” Dannenfelser said. “…So he’s actually become the person that he says he is.”

Dannenfelser said she is pleased with Trump’s appointment of conservative federal judges — most notably to the Supreme Court. Just this week the Trump administration signed off on federal funding for a family planning program in Texas that excludes groups like Planned Parenthood that provide abortion services.

“No one in that crowd needs persuading, but everyone in that crowd needs reminding what’s at stake this coming election,” Dannenfelser said. “…It won’t be a cajoling and a persuasion moment; it will be a momentum moment.”

On Wednesday, Trump retweeted a post by the March for Life, adding, “See you on Friday…big crowd!” READ MORE

ANIMALS OVER BABIES: NARAL-Endorsed Pro-Abortion Florida Democratic Congressman Ted Deutch Wants To Pass Bill Making Cruelty To Animals A Federal Crime With 7 Years In Prison

Rep. Ted Deutch, whose district represents parts of Palm Beach and Broward Counties, is one of the main sponsors of the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act, or PACT, along with Rep. Vern Buchanan of Sarasota.

So let’s see if I have this right. Democratic congressman Ted Deutch, who has voted for unrestricted access to abortion under all conditions and at all times, wants to put people in prison for being cruel to animals. Babies can have their brains sucked out and thrown in the garbage in the third trimester, but kicking your dog is worthy of prison. What a crazy, sick world this is becoming.

Here is how Ted Deutch has voted on pro-abortion bills since 2010:

  • Keep right to choose free from governmental intrusion. (Nov 2010)
  • Voted NO on banning federal health coverage that includes abortion. (May 2011)
  • Endorsed by NARAL, indicating a pro-abortion stance. (Aug 2012)
  • Ban anti-abortion limitations on abortion services. (Nov 2013)
  • Access safe, legal abortion without restrictions. (Jan 2015)
  • Constitutional right to terminate pregnancy for health. (May 2015)

Congressman Deutch should feel right at home with fellow pro-baby destroyer New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo who just signed into law the most anti-baby bill ever devised since Hitler opened up the concentration camps back in the 1930’s.

Please contact Democratic congressman Ted Deutch and let him know how you feel about jailing people for animal cruelty and rewarding people who exterminating babies in the womb. You can email him here or call any of his offices by going here. Reach out and respectfully tell him how you feel.

Congressmen from Florida cracking down on animal cruelty

FROM WPTV 5: If passed by Congress, anyone who engages in animal crushing, burning, drowning, suffocation, impalement, or other serious bodily injury could be charged with a federal felony.

“This is common sense, bipartisan legislation to bring some compassion to our animal laws,” Rep. Deutch said. “For many Americans, animal welfare is an important policy issue, and the idea of animal abuse is abhorrent.”

The charge would carry a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.

“The torture of innocent animals is abhorrent and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law,” said Rep. Buchanan. “Protecting animals from cruelty is a top priority for me and I look forward to working with Congressman Deutch on this important issue.”

The Congressmen mentioned the 2010 Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act, which made the creation, sale, and distribution of animal abuse videos illegal, as a jumping off point for their legislation.

The Humane Society, National Sheriffs’ Association, and the Fraternal Order of Police have all endorsed PACT. The Senate passed an identical bill during the last session of Congress. READ MORE

We Are Winning The Fight Against Abortion On Demand In America

Abortion access in the U.S. has been vanishing at the fastest annual pace on record, propelled by Republican state lawmakers’ push to legislate the industry out of existence. Since 2011, at least 162 abortion providers have shut or stopped offering the procedure, while just 21 opened.

Abortion Clinics Are Closing at a Record Pace

“And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.” Jeremiah 32:35 (KJV)

Christians are called to be ‘salt and light’ to a lost and dying world, and bring the message of new life in Jesus Christ to as many as will hear it. We do not need the Supreme Court to outlaw abortion in America, we just need to get vocal, stay vocal and let the light of the gospel do what it is supposed to do. Dispel the darkness.

pretend-i-am-a-tree-save-me-stop-abortion-ntebBloomberg reports today that abortion access in the U.S. has been vanishing at the fastest annual pace on record, propelled by Republican state lawmakers’ push to legislate the industry out of existence. Since 2011, at least 162 abortion providers have shut or stopped offering the procedure, while just 21 opened.

Stand-alone clinics, not doctors’ offices or hospitals, perform the vast majority of pregnancy terminations. They account for the vast majority of the tally, which was compiled by Bloomberg News over the past three months and builds on a similar undertaking from 2013.

Typically defined by medical researchers as facilities that perform 400 or more abortions per year, the ranks peaked in the late 1980s at 705, according to the Guttmacher Institute, a New York-based reproductive-health research organization.

By 2011, the most recent year for which Guttmacher has data, that number had fallen to 553.

Second Planned Parenthood Senior Executive Haggles Over Baby Parts Prices, Changes Abortion Methods:

Videos like these from the Center For Medical Progress have advanced the fight against abortion by a quantum leap forward.

Summit Women’s Center in Bridgeport, Conn., closed in 2015 after 40 years in business, citing reduced demand. In Kalispell, Mont., Susan Cahill said she didn’t have the money to rebuild after her practice got vandalized in 2014. Following the loss of two providers, Missouri is now one of five states in which a sole clinic remains. Of all the facilities in the nation that closed or stopped performing terminations, about a third were operated by Planned Parenthood; of the ones that opened, three-quarters were. source
