(Reuters) – A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the U.S. East Coast from Virginia to Boston on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake was initially reported at 5.8 magnitude.
The Pentagon and U.S. Capitol Building in Washington were evacuated.
The earthquake was centered in Mineral, Virginia, which is 92 miles southwest of Washington, D.C., the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake had a very shallow depth of 0.6 miles.
The Pentagon and Capitol Building in Washington were evacuated, as were courthouses in New York City. The earthquake sent Washington office workers scurrying into the streets.

It is definitely a significant seismic event, as it was so widespread, ground motion felt from Canada to Georgia, and very shallow(epicenter @half mile deep). Could be precursor to a series of quake activity, referred to as “clustering”, that is, numerous quakes over a relatively short time period. Reminded me of Jesus’ prophecy in regards to “…earthquakes in divers places…” in Matthew Ch.24.

Not surprised! The word of God says that blessed are those who read the book of revelations. Whatever is predicted will come to pass. It just shows that Christ is real. He defeated the power of hell and death and ascended to heaven. He is coming back soon. To have faith and a relationship in Christ is not all in vain. Why?
