4,500 March in Jerusalem In Support of Palestinian Statehood

Thousands of left-wing activists marched in Jerusalem on Friday afternoon in the largest demonstration of support for an independent Palestinian state in the nation’s capital in over a year. Under the banner of “Independence for Palestine,” the march, which was organized by the Sheikh Jarrah Solidarity Movement, drew 4,500 participants from across the country. The march started from Jaffa Gate and ended in the weekly protest in Sheikh Jarrah, a direct inversion of the right-wing Flag March on Jerusalem Day, when tensions rose in east Jerusalem between right-wing marchers and Arab residents. March organizers said the route was also chosen because it was the border of east and west Jerusalem.

Procession in support of PA plan to seek recognition of state at UN

Thousands of left-wing activists marched in Jerusalem on Friday afternoon in the largest demonstration of support for an independent Palestinian state in the nation’s capital in over a year. Under the banner of “Independence for Palestine,” the march, which was organized by the Sheikh Jarrah Solidarity Movement, drew 4,500 participants from across the country.

Obama has clearly sided with the Palestinians, all verbal protests to the contrary notwithstanding

Palestinian and Israeli flags fluttered in the breeze as activists young and old carried signs that said “Only free people can negotiate,” and “67,” signifying a return to ’67 borders. MKs Zehava Galon (Meretz) and Dov Hanin (Hadash) joined the march.

Arab youth groups from Lod, Jaffa, and Nazareth also took part, in addition to all of the popular committees from the east Jerusalem neighborhoods.

“I really believe, in the most democratic way possible, we must exercise our rights,” said Mahmoud, the leader of the Jaffa chapter of Palestinian Rights Within Israel.
The march was held as a series of actions expressing support for a Palestinian bid for statehood in the UN in September.

“I’m not optimistic [about September],” said Pessah, an 88-year-old professor of Jewish studies who marched along with his daughter. “I’m taking part to show there are different opinions… I see it as a positive thing that there are people that think differently, that want the country to be different than it is now. Even though it’s not easy for me, I came to show that Palestinians need their own state,” he said.

The march continued peacefully and there were no arrests or police incidents. “We’re very happy, there were more people than we expected,” said Dolev Rahat, a 26-year-old Sheikh Jarrah activist from Jerusalem. He said the biggest problem was keeping the demonstrators off the light rail track, per an agreement the activists made with the police.

Some of the march’s spectators were doubtful of the success of the message. “I don’t think this helps, why would it,” asked Fuzi, a 40-year-old shuttle driver from the Old City who drank coffee with his friends while watching the march pass Damascus Gate. He said he was more concerned with the high cost of food and apartments, and making ends meet for his family. “This is a different war, we have our own real war,” he said. “I don’t have anything against it, but we’re talking about different things,” he said, adding that there was a “big gap” between the demonstrators and the aspirations of the working class in east Jerusalem.

Sheikh Jarrah Solidarity Movement said in a statement the message of the march was to change the country’s perception of a UN declaration of statehood as a “natural disaster like a political tsunami” to “an act of people thirsty for freedom.” source – JPost

Bibi, If You Were Waiting For The Perfect Time To Justifiably Take Out The Iranian Nuclear Bomb Program, Your Moment To Strike Is Right Now

SHARE NOW THE END BEGINS:

The New York Times reported early Sunday that Biden administration officials were advising Israel against a retaliatory attack on Iran given its successful defense.

So the BIG question on everyone’s mind today is, how will Israel respond to last night’s blistering attack by Iran that launched hundreds of drones and missiles on the sovereign Jewish state. In America, pretend president Joe Biden is telling Bibi Netanyahu to ‘take the win and walk away’. But if I could speak with Bibi, I would tell him something quite different. I would tell him that the moment he’s long waited for, the chance to justifiably take out Iran’s nuclear weapons facilities, arrived last night in all the bombing.

“Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.” Psalm 25:22 (KJB)

The entire world for about 6 hours, was focused on the nation of Israel in one accord, astonished first at all the bombs dropping on Israel, and then flabbergasted at how well Iron Dome, David’s Sling and the Arrow Defense System batted down 99% of everything. Props to the United States and Jordan for helping out as well. But while the world watched Iran attack Israel, in the back of everyone’s mind was the thought that, if Iran ever gets nuclear bombs, they will absolutely use them against the Jewish state. So Bibi, if you are reading this, now is the time you’ve waited for to take out Iran nuclear weapons capability. Rather than causing it, this action would go a long way towards delaying WWIII. Do it now while last night is fresh in people’s minds, and the global community will understand and support you. Wait 6 months or even less, and your moment will be gone. Maybe forever.

US helps Israel thwart Iran assault; world awaits Israeli response

FROM THE HILL: Fears the Iran strikes could trigger a wider war emerged immediately after news broke about the assault. A shadow war between Iran and its allies, including the militant groups Hamas and Hezbollah, and Israel has taken place for years, but it greatly ramped up with the unprecedented Oct. 7 attack by Hamas on Israel that killed 1,200 Israelis, many of them civilians.

That brazen attack triggered an all-out assault by Israel on Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas, that has killed more than 32,000 people. The war has led to an international outcry against Israel, isolating the country and contributing to fraying ties between the Biden administration and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.

Biden in recent weeks has stepped up his criticism of Netanyahu, arguing Israel’s response to the Hamas attack had gone over the top and urging the ally to do more to protect civilians and aid workers in Gaza.

Biden is likely to come under more pressure domestically after the Iran attacks to show support for Israel. Meanwhile, in an early signal of GOP intentions, one Republican lawmaker on Saturday called on the U.S. to strike Iran in retaliation for its actions.

At the same time, the administration has consistently sought to prevent the Israeli war in Gaza from breaking out into a wider conflict, and it is expected U.S. efforts will continue to move in that direction. U.S. officials on Saturday night said they would continue to offer support for Israel if there were more strikes from Iran. READ MORE

Iran has launched waves of drones to attack Israel that are set to hit within hours, in ‘Operation True Promise’ as Jordan and Syria declare state of emergency

As we’ve have been telling you for weeks now, Israel was on the verge of waging war on three fronts after already knee-deep in fighting with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Tonight front number three officially opened as Iran launched dozens of drones that are on their way to Israel right now. All Israel is on lockdown, with residents listening for the sound of air raid sirens that will signal their rush to the safety of bomb shelters.

“I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.” Isaiah 46:13 (KJB)

Iran is calling it ‘Operation True Promise’, and their Revolutionary Guards Corps have stated that Operation ‘True Promise’ is a response to Israeli actions and is part of their strategy to punish Israel for its perceived crimes. According to two regional security sources, Jordan has positioned its air defenses to intercept and destroy any Iranian drones or aircraft that breach its airspace. These sources further indicated that the army is on high alert, with radar systems actively monitoring drone movements. Jordan has also declared a state of emergency in the country. Syria is also on issued an alert and has placed its Russian-made Pantsir ground-to-air defence systems on high alert around the capital and major bases, according to army sources.

Iran launches drone attack on Israel: Israeli military is put on full alert, with warplanes scrambled and school trips cancelled – with two drone waves set to arrive in hours as war in the Middle East threatens to spiral out of control

FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: Dozens of drones were seen flying from Iran over neighbouring Iraq’s Sulaymaniya province, according to three security sources. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said via state media that it had ‘launched extensive drone strikes against targets in occupied territories.’

Israel said tonight that its airspace was shutting down at 12:30am local time. Iraq also announced it was shutting down its airspace and suspending all air traffic on Saturday.

Iranian media reported that a second wave of drones has been launched, though details of where they currently are aren’t yet known.   The IDF’s spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, said it would take several hours for the drones to arrive in Israel, adding that sirens would be sounded in threatened areas.

The IDF said: ‘The air defense array is on high alert at the same time as the Air Force planes and Navy ships that are on a mission to protect the country’s skies. The IDF is monitoring all targets.

‘We ask the public to adhere to and follow the instructions of the Home Front Command and the official IDF announcements regarding the matter.’ It was reported today that Iran has more than 100 cruise missiles ready to be launched as part of an ‘imminent’ strike against Israel in retaliation for an airstrike against Iran’s embassy in Damascus, Syria.

Announcing increased security measures in Israel during a televised briefing, chief military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said dozens of combat planes were airborne as part of the state of readiness. Starting from 11pm tonight, the strict measures, which include the ban of all ‘educational activities’ across the country, the restriction of working in offices without ‘standard protected spaces’ and limits on the number of people at gatherings’, will be implemented.

Educational activities have been banned across the country, while restrictions on working have been put in place on areas directly next to the Gaza Strip, and other areas in the Gaza Envelope.

Israelis living on the areas next to the Gaza Strip have been banned from meeting outside in groups of more than 30, and are allowed to meet up to 300 people inside buildings. Beaches in the Gaza Envelope have also been closed to the public.  READ MORE

The U.S. has warned Israel that an attack by Iran is “imminent” and could happen as early as Saturday. Iran says the attack will be “retaliation” for an airstrike in Syria that killed several high-ranking Iranian military members. The U.S. has said it will back Israel and when asked if Biden had a message for Iran on Friday, the president simply said, “Don’t!”

Iran Puts 100 Cruise Missiles In Place, United States Moves Destroyers Around The Red Sea As Israel Awaits ‘Imminent’ Incoming Attack From Tehran

SHARE NOW THE END BEGINS:

Iran has reportedly readied more than 100 cruise missiles as part of an ‘imminent’ strike on Israel after the US moved more forces into the Middle East over fears an attack could spark a full-scale war.

The United States right now is absolutely expecting that Iran will unleash a potentially devastating attack on Israel, so much so that it has positioned aircraft carries and destroyers to defend the Jewish state. I cannot seem to recall the last time that America was in such a position to not only defend Israel, but to be on the front lines with them before the attack took place. You can tell it’s an election year for sure.

“For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.” Psalm 89:18 (KJB)

Earlier, Iranian special forces seized control of a ship in the Strait of Hormuz linked to Israeli interests to show they are intent are getting revenge for the Israeli strike on their Embassy in Damascus. But the question is, do they want revenge so badly they are willing to also have to deal with the assembled naval might of the United States? Maybe yes, maybe no, we shall see just how much of an appetite they have. Israel, for their part, is locked, loaded and ready to fight.

Iran readies more than 100 cruise missiles and drones for deadly Israel strike, US intelligence officials reveal, as Pentagon moves aircraft carrier into the Red Sea amid fears of full-scale war

FROM THE DAILY MAIL UK: Military officials briefed on the matter told both ABC News and CNN that the US has observed Iran readying at least 100 cruise missiles, indicating they could be ready to attack. ABC also reported that a large number of drones that could be used in an attack on Israel have also been readied by the nation.

Pentagon officials said the US would beef up its presence in the region and the USS Dwight Eisenhower would be sent into the Red Sea in a warning to Tehran.

Iran has publicly threatened to hit back at Israel over an attack in Syria last week, which Tehran say was an Israeli airstrike on a Iranian diplomatic building in Damascus. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei vowed retribution in the wake of the Damascus attack, for which Tel-Aviv has yet to take responsibility.

US Defense officials on Friday said they are moving ‘additional assets to the area’, hours after the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem locked down it’s staff. The USS Dwight Eisenhower would be able to intercept missiles and drones fired by Iran.

President Biden said on Friday that he expected Iran to attack Israel ‘sooner than later’ and that his message to Tehran was ‘don’t’.

‘We are devoted to the defense of Israel. We will support Israel and help defend Israel and Iran will not succeed,’ Biden said.

Asked how imminent an attack on Israel may be, Biden said he didn’t want to get into classified information but ‘my expectation is sooner than later.’

Former President Trump called Biden ‘pretty pathetic’ and claimed that had he been in office Iran wouldn’t be attacking Israel.

Trump said: ‘For the president of our country to actually put out a warning that he thinks that we’re going to be attacked or they’re going to be attacked. That’s pretty pathetic. They wouldn’t be attacking Israel if I were president, that I can tell you,’ he continued. ‘And they never did.’

Israel was widely blamed for an April 1 attack that destroyed Iran’s consulate building in Damascus and killed seven Revolutionary Guards, including the two generals. The strike levelled a five-story building adjacent to the Iranian embassy in Damascus. Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned Wednesday that Israel ‘must be punished and will be punished’, days after one of his advisers said Israeli embassies are ‘no longer safe’. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz swiftly replied on social media site X that ‘if Iran attacks from its territory, Israel will respond and attack Iran’.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to respond with force to any assault by Iran, leaving tensions in the Middle East on a knife-edge. Defense officials on Friday said they are moving ‘additional assets to the area’, hours after the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem locked down it’s staff. READ MORE

Israel is preparing for the possibility of an imminent attack by Iran. CBS News has learned that the Pentagon has repositioned a Navy destroy in the region, joining another warship that is already there.
