British scientist Stephen Hawking has branded heaven a “fairy story” for people afraid of the dark, in his latest dismissal of the concepts underpinning the world’s religions. The author of 1988 international best-seller “A Brief History of Time” said in an interview with The Guardian published on Monday that his views were partly influenced by his battle with motor neurone disease.“I have lived with the prospect of an early death for the last 49 years. I’m not afraid of death, but I’m in no hurry to die. I have so much I want to do first,” he told the newspaper.”I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.”Hawking’s stance on religion has hardened significantly in the nearly quarter century since the publication of his seminal work on the cosmos.In “A Brief History of Time” he suggested that the idea of a divine being was not necessarily incompatible with a scientific understanding of the Universe.But in his 2010 book “The Grand Design” he said a deity no longer has any place in theories on the creation of the universe in the light of a series of developments in physics.Hawking has achieved worldwide fame for his research, writing and television documentaries despite suffering since the age of 21 from motor neurone disease that has left him disabled and dependent on a voice synthesiser.” source – Breitbart

Unfortunate. It has to be difficult and extremely frustrating to have such capacity – and then to see the creation through such a limited perspective. Despite his brilliance, his hope is not yet realized. I am reminded that the things of God are not revealed to “the brilliant,” but to the contrite. I believe, at one time, Dr Hawking was on the cusp of humility and saw perhaps a glimpse. He deserves our prayers.

If you are making a remark to Einstein being smarter than Hawking because he believed in this personal god that all you Christians believe in, then you are wrong. Einstein believed in a god but not a personal god, instead one who’s concern is with the universal, not personal. At one time we thought the universe revolved around earth too, then we evolved more and come to find out, we revolve around the sun, on the outside of what we call the Milky Way galaxy, surrounded by millions of other galaxies… In comparison to the universe, we aren’t even the size of a particle to earth. We are so minute, how could you be so arrogant to think that a god with such magnificent powers would even have the slightest concern with us? I think we have better chances of being a science experiment for some alien species, than what Creationists believe.

one of the great lies of human civilization is that scientists are more intelligent than everyone else- this has long been a false assumption- scientific mind is just one facet of unified intelligence- actually scientists usually have narrower depth perception and are necessarily spiritually inferior – this is because human brains are intentionally wired for different purposes by the creator- science can solve problems of physical energy but it cannot solve problems of spiritual/cosmic import. Centuries ago the scientists decided to conspire against this world and destroy the knowledge of God and spiritual truth (Satanists).They devised false intelligence tests to eliminate all non-mechanical brains from their empire. As the centuries progresssed the scientists ( a.k.a. Sanhedrin business priests) destroyed most of the human’s who were born with spiritual intelligence- as well, they despised gifted artists for having talents they could not explain with their narrower scientific facts-so they destroyed great artists as well…many scientists are athiests because they were born without the part of the brain that responds to spiritual matters- in reality they have brains which are deficient and because of this their brains are overpowered in the realm of scientific/mechanical realities.
Mr. Hawking is not really a great genius- he’s deficient in the neural circuitry that functions for spiritual depth perception. When great geniuses are born they are usually marginalized into poverty as they are despised by the Sanhedrin priests who have collected all kinds of college degrees in sciences because they are good at taking tests which they themselves designed.
When the real Y’Shua comes back and teaches the truth about the universe- the sceintists will refuse to believe they were largely wrong about many things- and the real truth about universal structure is far more unusual than most people can fathom and thus most people disbelieve in the truthsayers sent by the real God. Most of humanity wants the easy way out- scientists refuse to accept that electro-magnetic energy is not the primary energy form of the universe- but it is all they can recognize so they assume nothing else exists. Truth is- most of the universe is composed of ‘other than’ electro-magnetic energy
( mind/spirit) and it’s impossible to detect these realities with scientific instruments.
Angels are real but are not composed of electro-magnetic energy so they are essentially undectable by scientific methods. However, they can interact with elecro-magnetic energy and thus create things like storms, earthquakes, tornados( vortexes),, they can modify themselves for short periods of time and generate visible light energy and humans see this as ‘UFO’s.’

Hmph… scientists are nothing more than priests of an atheistic religion. It is all about perception. Most “science” is based far more on assumptions than actual fact. The only difference between religion and so-called “modern science” is the belief in the existence of a God. The only “science” that is proven solely by facts IS true science, such as gravity; however, the difference between true science and what is considered science is like the difference between microevolution and macroevolution.

I’ll tell you one thing, science has proven a lot more results than religion ever did. All religion has done was control and brainwash people into following idealistic lives by being guaranteed a place in a so called blissful place so that they may not dwell to much on the realities of life.
Religion is filled with stories, guarantees like checks that can never be cashed, and direction and emotion that is supposedly derived from a higher power. You people feel no advantages in life for being believers over anyone else, your life is no better nor worse, or blessed or un-blessed. Anyone can make claims about feeling like this or that, should I believe that the homeless man who talks to himself while walking down the street only does so because god has chosen directly to talk to him? If anything that’s a more reasonable situation than him talking to any of you.
Unfortunately the problem with enlightenment is that there are far less people who have the perspective and true intelligence to see outside the box than there are people like you. Which is why there are so many religious people in the world.
You would think a man who has been what he has been through and at his level of intelligence, to you would mean that wow, if one person has had a chance to pass and ask for god’s help he would have. And you know what? he probably did at one time but heard nothing, then he realized he was talking to himself, then he realized that it’s up to him to lead and live his own life as an individual being, realistic about what he has and does not.
Of course that wouldn’t end your respect, some extremist idiot doing backflips in a church praising gods name would be considered more intelligent to you, but for one reason and one reason only…the only thing you will consider, so therefore what you perceive as your greatest strength, is actually your greatest weakness, you are blinded by your own faith and ignorance yet you scorn others for it without even knowing what you’re talking about…truly who is the less intelligent being?

Without science you wouldn’t be driving your cars, typing on computers, or watching the 700 Club. You also wouldn’t have the various medications that keep you and your loved ones alive. You put down science but if there was a cure found for cancer you’d certainly put your child on it if you needed to. These things cannot be created through faith, only with logical, rational reasoning. Most of us would not be alive without science. Einstein couldn’t have discovered everything he did through faith.

As I said, there are two types of science; “modern science” which is a religion based on assumptions, and “true science” which is based on facts. My wife was healed by God from cancer. I know God to be real. I am the scientific myself, but I believe in God because of facts that I have experienced. Evolution has far too many holes (FOR EXAMPLE, life could not have spontaneously generated with oxygen because of oxidation would have destroyed anything that spontaneously generate, nor without oxygen because the lack of ozone would have let in radiation that would have destroyed anything that spontaneously generated) that can only be explained by extra-terrestrial involvement, which is awfully convenient because you can’t then explain what circumstances that alien race may have “evolved” under, therefore it cannot be so easily disproven as life evolving on Earth; Creation, however, is far more logical, and doesn’t involve any such ridicuolous theories as aliens being involved in our spontaneous generation.

Actually scientists have recently discovered single-cell lifeforms in extreme conditions that don’t depend on light or oxygen to survive. That means life could have evolved in any number of ways, much more easily than we previously thought.

Heh… I’m not referring to them needing oxygen to survive, I’m talking about oxidation would have destroyed the necessary enzymes needed for spontaneous generation to occur if oxygen WAS present and without oxygen present, ozone, 0(3), would not have been present and so the suns radioactivity would not be blocked, therefore causing whatever could potentially have spontaneously generated to be nuked.

science only reveals facts of a physical nature- but is devoid and empty when it comes to spiritual realities-this is where most people get confused- to differentiate physical world realities from spiritual realities…Physical energy is the finite manifestation of God whereas spiritual reality is like the ‘soul’ of God. There are many people born who are mechanical/scientific geniuses but at the same time they are soulless and thus usually end up bestowing destructive/devolutionary gifts to civilization.
Soulless people have almost always ruled this world-you never gave spirit born beings the chance to build a better world than science can- science brought you all kinds of weapons to destroy- all kinds of ways to pollute- all kinds of genetic manipulation which will eventually lead to negative forces.
