Iran May Hang Christian Pastor Saeed Abedini For Preaching Jesus

An American-Iranian pastor imprisoned in Tehran since September may face hanging because of his Christian faith. Saeed Abedini sent a letter to his family Jan. 10 detailing his torture and treatment by Iranian authorities.
The Jerusalem Post reports:
The U.S. State Department expressed “serious concerns” about Abedini’s situation on Friday.

Jordan Sekulow, the executive director of the Washington-based American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) wrote to the The Jerusalem Post on Friday, “This is an extremely critical time for American Pastor Saeed and his family. We now know with certainty, from his own words, the brutality and life-threatening danger he faces in Iran’s notorious Evin Prison.”
“In a powerful letter from him released to family members in Tehran, Pastor Saeed reveals that he is undergoing beatings and is being told that he ‘will hang’ for his Christian faith. That treatment combined with the recent news that Pastor Saeed’s case has been turned over to one of Iran’s ‘hanging judges’ makes his circumstances more dire than ever,” Sekulow said.
Abedini became an American citizen in 2010 after marrying his American wife, Naghmeh Abedini, according to FOX News.
The Iranian government does not recognize his American citizenship, though it had enabled him to travel freely between both countries until this past summer.
That’s when he was pulled off a bus and placed under house arrest, according to his supporters. Abedini was then imprisoned and charged with several crimes that have not been made public, but it is widely believed that it is because of his Christian faith.

Dr. Wahied Wahdat-Hagh, an expert on Iran who has written extensively on the persecution of Christians in the Islamic Republic, told the Post on Saturday, that Abedini’s case was “an example of the insidious and perfidious policy of the Islamist dictatorship” in Tehran, adding that “the main goal of the rulers is to intimidate Christians and Iranians who are interested to leave Islam and change their religion.” […]
“The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and representatives of Islamic Jihad even play the role of pastors in churches in Isfahan to “guide” the Christians and teach them that Islam is better,” Wahdat-Hagh stated. source – Free Beacon

What you need to understand is most Jews do not believe in Christ, but under Gods promise to the Jews as all this is written. In other words a long long time ago the Lord promised that the Jews would be back in the homeland. He also promised them that not only will they be back in their homeland but they would be back in their homeland with no one around them to give them trouble.
We are at the part where they are back in their homeland but there is lots of trouble. The next step for completion of the promise is there will be no one to give them trouble.
Regardless of whether they believe in Christ right now or not. That promise will be fulfilled. What does the bible say!! The bible says that there are many who do not believe in Christ right up till this time. But when these things take place many will become believers. ESPECIALLY JEWS. That is the prophecy. A huge outpouring of Jews towards Christ in the end times!

I knew Saeed was a Christian and I don’t think anyone is saying its okay…they are stating IF this happens our prayers and Christian love are with him and God will be with him and richly reward him for his faithfullness.

The Lord is with him in the fulfillment of his promise. Yes it will ultimately be up to each and every person to choose Christ. That is clear. But the Lord has made his promise to the Jews. They have already been punished more then any other peoples for their past transgressions.
They were removed from the homeland and have been slaves to people for thousands of years. But the Lord Promised he would restore them. You are watching that fulfillment now.
Does that mean they won’t go to heaven if they do not believe in Christ. The bible tells us you must have the Son to get into heaven that is clear. But the bible also says there will be a huge out pouring of Jews towards Christ in these times. While we do have lots of Jews turning towards Christ now. It is my belief we haven’t see the outpouring it is referring to yet.
Daniel refers to a war that will take place against Israel and God will show up for that war with fire from the sky and the whole world will know who their Lord God is.
Daniel also says that there will be a huge outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Jewish people and upon the whole world. This is when I believe the bible is referring to a huge outpouring of Jews towards Christ. I do not believe this is the end either. This sets the stage for who ever is left to make peace with Israel.
But it says that there will be nothing left in the nations around Israel to give them trouble anymore. In other words the Jews will not only own Israel but all the lands around them. You should read it.

The bible also says they will turn towards Christ when these things take place. Gods promise to them will take place whether or not they believe in Christ right now. Hmm. . . Oneofhisown? I read back and didn’t see any posts approving of his death. I read words that are about as comforting as we could give. And I read words that are ones that we should all grab ahold of because true followers could very well find themselves in a similar situation in the near future. In case people didn’t know it this war that has been going on since Abraham 1000′s of years ago. Abraham believed he couldn’t have a son with his wife Sarah who was very old. His wife sent him to her servant Hagar to bare a child. The Lord told Abraham his wife would have a child. Abraham was unsure, his wife was unsure. So Sarah his wife offered her servant Hagar to Abraham It started with two women under the same roof with 2 sons!!!!!!!!!!!! Isaac (Sarah’s son who God promised she would have, but she didn’t believe) and Ishmael (the servant Hagar’s son). Eventually the two women began to fight so Hagar had to leave. The Lord appeared to Hagar the servant woman and said this:

“You are now pregnant
and you will give birth to a son.
You shall name him Ishmael,[a]
for the Lord has heard of your misery.
12 He will be a wild donkey of a man;
his hand will be against everyone

Ishmael grew up and started the Arab nations which later took on the faith of Islam. The world is currently at war with Islam Fascists with the belief that anyone who is not muslim is the infidel and to them it is an honor to kill you in the name of God. They love death as you love life!! Now you know how serious it is. The world is at war and it will not stop until the Lord stops it.

I believe that the Lord mentions this cause we would with nuclear weapons we will wipe each other out completely. So there will be a nuclear exchange and the Lord will have to shorten the days or no flesh be saved.
Now you know the seriousness and now you know your enemy. It will take our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to save the world this time.

Looks to me like the E.U. is trying to establish a footing for the aftermath of the world economic crisis of which there is no solution and will come crashing down. Not a question of if but when. What that is saying is it will cost an entire days wages for one meal for one person. Not an american meal either. Every american eats equivalent to 2-4 meal servings per sitting. An entire days wage for one meal, meaning about $100 for a meal. Its coming! That happens before money is worth absolutely nothing. Its coming. FOCUS PEOPLE!!!! You think Obummer is bad. Good thing we don’t have Governor Cumo as president. That clown is a dictator and a half and he just passed the gun laws here in N.Y. There is nothing anyone here can do. As I said before, this train is coming into the station. You will not stop it. It will come into the station as written it would. You can try to knock if off the tracks and might succeed in doing so. New York, the reason I asked about Netanyahu is because it was raised as a question by someone else and when I replied that he is Jewish, NewMan contradicted me. I had not been able to find any validation of Christianity regarding Netanyahu and that would be quite newsworthy if the leader of Israel was a Christian Jew. Now, on another topic, I don’t usually recommend responding back when chastized on a message board, it is better to just move on. I do get the clear message, though, that this is your message board and I don’t quite fit. Look back to the first several posts and you might be able to see why I felt that the focus on praying for this man’s freedom was a little lacking. He is an amazing witness, even in prison, and deserves our fervent prayer. Our prayers for ourselves would not usually include dying for our faith and resignation to that is what I read in the posts. I did not just pull that idea out of thin air. I will now leave all of you to your space here. Please continue to enjoy each others’ company.

Yes I know its alright. But you are correct he is Jewish, I didn’t really get involved because it was a moot point. Basically what I said was what the bible has said. It does not matter that the Jews aren’t Christian. Why? Cause he made a promise to them and you bet he will keep that promise.
The bible in fact says that a lot of Jews aren’t for Christ in the last days, but there will be an outpouring of Jews towards Christ as the results of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that the bible says will come on Israel and the whole world in the last days.
All I was saying is the Jews do not need to be for Christ for God to fulfill his promise to them. However they still need to be for Christ to get into heaven as seen stated many times in the bible. Example of that is this verse:
1 John 5:12
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
Oneofhisown I didn’t chastise you and it is not my message board. Its for all of us to participate in conversation. No where did I chastise you. Newman was wrong and I knew that. Like I said for the purposes of my point him being Jewish had no bearing on what I was saying. You asked me where it said he was Christian and I backed you up that he isn’t and gave you the resources to where it said he was Jewish. Hope I helped.
