Israel fights off massive web site hack attempts

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – More than 44 million hacking attempts have been made on Israeli government web sites since Wednesday when Israel began its Gaza air strikes, the government said on Sunday.

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said just one hacking attempt was successful on a site he did not want to name, but it was up and running after 10 minutes of downtime.

Typically, there are a few hundred hacking attempts a day on Israeli sites, the ministry said.

Attempts on defence-related sites have been the highest, while 10 million attempts have been made on the site of Israel’s president, 7 million on the Foreign Ministry and 3 million on the site of the prime minister.

A ministry spokesman said while the attacks have come from around the world, most have been from Israel and the Palestinian territories.

“The ministry’s computer division will continue to block the millions of cyber attacks,” Steinitz said. “We are enjoying the fruits of our investment in recent years in developing computerized defence systems.”

Steinitz has instructed his ministry to operate in emergency mode to counter attempts to undermine government sites.

Both sides in the Gaza conflict, but particularly Israel, are embracing the social media as one of their tools of warfare. The Israeli Defense Force has established a presence on nearly every platform available while Palestinian militants are active on Twitter.

“The war is taking place on three fronts. The first is physical, the second is on the world of social networks and the third is cyber,” said Carmela Avner, Israel’s chief information officer.

Last month, U.S. Defence Secretary Leon Panetta said cyberspace is the battlefield of the future, with attackers already going after banks and other financial systems. U.S. banks have been under sustained attack by suspected Iranian hackers thought to be responding to economic sanctions aimed at forcing Tehran to negotiate over its nuclear program. source – CNBC

Barack Hussein Obama

Remember When Barack Obama Tried To Hack Israeli Elections To Oust PM Benjamin Netanyahu?

The Obama administration sent hundreds of thousands of dollars in U.S. taxpayer money to campaign to oust Benjamin Netanyahu’s reelection efforts in 2015.

Barack Obama influences Israeli Elections to oust PM Netanyahu from Office

EDITOR’S NOTE: Barack Obama is filled with faux rage against Putin and the Russians for their role in “hacking” the 2016 presidential elections. I say it is false rage because it is extremely hypocritical. Back in 2015, Obama spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on sending subversive groups like One Voice to be “boots on the ground” in Israel to hack their free and fair election process in a lame attempt to oust Benjamin Netanyahu who was seeking reelection. Guess Barry is not happy when the “chickens come home to roost”, eh?

FROM THE NTEB ARCHIVES: Just days after the Obama White House accused House Speaker John Boehner of “breaking protocol” by inviting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress, a team of up to five Obama campaign operatives has reportedly arrived in Israel to lead a campaign to defeat the Israeli Prime Minister in upcoming national elections scheduled for March 17, 2015.

As Jerusalem Post columnist and putative Knesset candidate Caroline Glick reported on her Facebook page, “Obama won’t meet Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington when he addresses the Joint Houses of Congress in March because of Netanyahu’s visit’s proximity to the Israeli elections. And Obama, of course believes in protocol and propriety which is why he won’t get involved.” And yet, Glick adds, “He’s just sending his 2012 field campaign manager to Israel to run a campaign to defeat Netanyahu.”

READ IT: The Genesis 12:3 Curse

For all the harsh accusations of foreign interference currently being leveled against GOP Speaker John Boehner, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Ambassador Ron Dermer, reports of Obama operatives actively working to unseat a democratically elected leader of a strong U.S. ally is hardly the news it might appear to be.

THE OBAMA WHITE HOUSE HAS AGGRESSIVELY WORKED TO DEFEAT ALLIED LEADERS IT HAS NOT LIKED AND TO ELECT OR RE-ELECT FOREIGN LEADERS IT DOES LIKE. AS THE TIMES OF ISRAEL RECENTLY REPORTED, THE LIST OF OBAMA ADMINISTRATION MEDDLING IN FOREIGN ELECTIONS IS A LONG ONE.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel Merkel, an Obama Administration ally, was hosted at the White House prior to recent German elections. Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown of the left wing Labor Party visited 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, not once, but twice prior to British elections. Those were won by Conservative party leader David Cameron, who himself visited Washington last week at Obama’s invitation to lobby the U.S. Congress against adopting a new sanctions measure to help confront Iran’s burgeoning nuclear program. Oddly, that’s the very issue Obama and the mainstream media now roundly condemn John Boehner for involving himself in. source

The State Department paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayers grants to an Israeli group that used the money to build a campaign to oust Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in last year’s Israeli parliamentary elections, a congressional investigation concluded Tuesday.

Some $350,000 was sent to OneVoice, ostensibly to support the group’s efforts to back Israeli-Palestinian peace settlement negotiations. But OneVoice used the money to build a voter database, train activists and hire a political consulting firm with ties to President Obama’s campaign — all of which set the stage for an anti-Netanyahu campaign, the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations said in a bipartisan staff report.

Despite Having No Evidence Of Hacking, Obama Threatens Russia Says ‘We Will Take Action’ Against Them

Obama Vows Retaliation Against Putin As Russians Demand Election Hacking Evidence

Talk about the insane in charge of the asylum, this is one for the record books. The record books at the nut house. Despite having no evidence that Putin and the Russians actually did hack our elections, the always pusillanimous Barry Obama decided to threaten Russian anyway.

This is how the state-run ‘fake news’ outlet ABC reported the story this morning:

With the Russians demanding to see evidence that implicates them in cyber-attacks, President Barack Obama is vowing retaliation for hacking operations aimed at interfering with the U.S. election.

“I think there is no doubt that when any foreign government tries to impact the integrity of our elections … we need to take action. And we will — at a time and place of our own choosing,” the president told NPR on Thursday.

Obama: U.S. Will Retaliate Against Russian Hacking

“Some of it may be explicit and publicized; some of it may not be,” he added.

“They know with a near certainty that Putin was involved – that’s not something they say lightly,” Richard Clarke, an ABC News consultant who served in the administrations of Presidents Reagan, Clinton and both Bushes. “That’s something they say when they do have a smoking gun.”

Indeed, the intelligence community is so convinced that the one-time KGB colonel and master spy is behind the attacks that officials now say he will be a line of inquiry in an FBI investigation into the matter. source

Obama realized from the beginning of this occupation of the White House that he only needed to say two things to avoid being held responsible for his horrible policies, illegal Executive Actions, and his failed version of Socialized medicine, Obamacare. His first line of defense was to blame George Bush, and when that no longer worked he accused his detractors of being racists against a “black president“.

Reporter traps Obama’s paid liar on Russian hacking allegation:

“We have evidence, but we cannot show it.” – Well, that would play well in a courtroom. Are you kidding me?

Now in the closing hours of his presidency, he is blaming the stupendous drubbing the Democrats received at the hands of Donald Trump and company on “Russian hackers”. Because as “everyone knows”, that’s the only way that “a man like Trump” could possible be Hillary.

Nancy Pelosi said, “I know it was the Russians who did this, there is no doubt”. So there you have it, the smoking gun. Pelosi also has said “we have to vote for Obamacare so we can see what’s in it”, and the classic “unemployment benefits are creating jobs”. Trust her, she knows what she’s talking about. If Nancy Pelosi says the Russians hacked our election, it’s a guarantee they had nothing to do with it.

Fiat Chrysler will recall vehicles over hacking worries

Washington — Under government pressure, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV agreed Friday to recall 1.4 million vehicles that can be cyber-hacked remotely — as Congress, automakers and regulators are raising increasing concerns about vehicle communications.

The first-of-its-kind callback came just days after a magazine report showed hackers could wirelessly take control of some functions of a Jeep Cherokee.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it will open an investigation into the recall to ensure all vehicles that could be affected are covered. “Opening this investigation will allow NHTSA to better assess the effectiveness of the remedy proposed by Fiat Chrysler,” NHTSA Administrator Mark Rosekind said in a statement, acknowledging the agency had urged the move.

Owners will get a USB device that they may use to upgrade vehicle software, which provides additional security features independent of the network-level measures that largely addresses the problem. source
