But it was such a good idea at the time

Arizona resident Adam Smith thought he was doing good by taking a video of himself confronting a Chick-fil-A employee in the drive-thru lane Wednesday.
“Chick-fil-A is a hateful company,” Smith said to the employee in the video, which is still up on YouTube under multiple accounts. To watch the videos, click here.
But his employer, Tucson medical equipment manufacturer Vante, saw it differently. Vante has announced that Smith, formerly the chief financial officer and treasurer, no longer works there.
“We respect the right of our employees and all Americans to hold and express their personal opinions,” said a statement from the company. “However, we also expect our company officers to behave in a manner commensurate with their position and in a respectful fashion that conveys these values of civility with others.”
The video shows the Chick-fil-A employee responding to Smith’s statements by saying, “I’m really uncomfortable that you’re video taping,” and, “It’s a pleasure to serve you, always.”
Smith said that by taking free water from the Chick-fil-A drive thru, he hoped he was taking money away from hate groups.
“I don’t know how you stand it,” Smith said to the employee. “This is a horrible corporation with horrible values.”
After the employee wished Smith a nice day, he responded, “I will. I just did something really good. I feel purposeful.” An account for Vante Chief Financial Officer Adam Smith is no longer available on professional networking site LinkedIn. source – LA Times

I totally understand being upset by this man’s rudeness to this lady. He had no right to video tape her w/o her consent to begin with, his rudeness to her was just icing on that cake and very poor manners. I guess bullying is considered okay to those who feel they have a “purpose”. But Vante Medical just made this guy a “martyr” for his cause and will most likely be sued on top of it.

Thank God there are some decent people still around that hate this kind of activity no matter who it’s directed at.That girl working for minimum wage just had to take it from a man that was making 4 times what she makes.Maybe there is still a little hope for America.

You know that guy needs to understand it can work both ways, if you have his attitude. We could go to Target and Starbucks and say to a worker, “Target/Starbucks is willfully promoting immorality and is against the Word of God.” First of all, the belief in traditional marriage and stating our belief is not hate. These people over use the definition of hate just like many can overuse the race card when neither are the case in the situation. It would be the same if someone said they do not support polygamy and think it is wrong. That does not mean they hate the people who think differently. They hate the wrong doing…the lifesyle they live. Right and wrong and voicing ones beliefs in what they believe is right and wrong is not hate. I am against gay marriage, but I have had casual gay friends at the gym, and I never treated them unkindly. I bet you that the pro gay marriage people hate the Christians more than the Christians would ever hate them. Jesus hates sin, but does that mean He hates us? No. That is the same for Christians. Jesus would talk against such things and not support the sin but that does not mean he hates the person.

Here’s a little tip on homosexuality. It’s steeped in hatred for the opposite sex and for oneself. That’s the core, once all the layers of rococo are stripped away.

This young lady, Rachel in this video was an excellent example of being Christlike…A humble servant doing an excellent job of serving Vante with Love in her heart, you can SEE it in this video, because she KNOWS it’s not about her or US, but that it’s ALL about Him, in how we treat others while on this earth…Like Jesus being a loving, humble servant to ALL of mankind… I HOPE & PRAY that Chick-Fil-A will see this and honor her!!!

The man went on private property and harassed an employee and recorded her against her will. Many companies reserve the right to fire employees for any reason or even for no reason at all. This man went too far and his actions could, in fact, make the company he works for look bad. He took that chance. He got canned. That particular group of people, I believe, will not stop and might even become very violent if they are not permitted to practice their perversion freely and with all of society’s blessing. I suspect the fight to do so will not stop until they are allowed to perform their desired acts and wallow around in our streets while forcing the rest of us to watch. They once cried for tolerence but now they DEMAND that we all accept perversion, and should any Christian remind us what God says about the sin they are called a hater. Good has indeed become evil and evil has become good- just one more sign.

I too imagine he will sue. Hopefully he will learn that bullying has consequences. But this day and age evil appears to triumph. Time will tell.
