August 1 Is ‘Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day’
“No one is being asked to make signs, speeches, or openly demonstrate,” Huckabee wrote on his Facebook page. “The goal is simple: Let’s affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick-Fil-A on Wednesday, August 1.

“This effort is not being launched by the Chick-Fil-A company and no one from the company or family is involved in proposing or promoting it.”
Too often, those on the left make corporate statements to show support for same sex marriage, abortion, or profanity, but if Christians affirm traditional values, we’re considered homophobic, fundamentalists, hate-mongers, and intolerant.
Huckabee concluded, “There’s no need for anyone to be angry or engage in a verbal battle. Simply affirm appreciation for a company run by Christian principles by showing up on Wednesday, August 1 or by participating online — tweeting your support or sending a message on Facebook.”
Huckabee said he has “been incensed at the vitriolic assaults” on Chick-fil-A since Cathy made his comments.
“The Cathy family, let by Chick Fil-A founder Truett Cathy, are a wonderful Christian family who are committed to operating the company with Biblical principles and whose story is the true American success story. … The Chick-Fil-A company refuses to open on Sundays so that their employees can go to church if they wish. Despite the pressure from malls, airports, and the business world to open on Sundays, they still don’t. They treat customers and employees with respect and dignity.”
Asked about the company’s support of the traditional family, Cathy said in the Biblical Recorder story, “Well, guilty as charged.”
“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit,” Cathy said. “We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.”
Chick-fil-A’s stores are closed on Sundays and the company, he said, “operate[s] on biblical principles.” The media storm grew larger when a June 16 radio program was spotlighted in which Cathy underscored the need for children to have a mom and a dad.
“As it relates to society in general, I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, ‘We know better than You as to what constitutes a marriage,’” Cathy said on “The Ken Coleman Show.” “I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we would have the audacity to try to redefine what marriage is all about.”
The company issued a statement Thursday (July 19) telling its customers that “going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena” and that its tradition is “to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect — regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender.” It also noted it has applied “biblically-based principles” to business management and will continue to do so. source – BP News

I will be taking my family to Chick-Fil-A on Wednesday…..why? you may ask. Let me put it this way Romans Chapter 1:16-32
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them………..if loving Christ and supporting traditional marriage makes me a bigot in your mind…..or if believing the Word of God makes me hate filled, ignorant and closed minded. Than count me as a hate filled, ignorant, closed-minded bigot…..who believes the Word of God is true, And believes that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the homosexual, and the lesbian, because He loved them enough to take the punishment due them, so they through faith and repentance, might receive not only forgiveness but the gift of eternal life

Honestly, I want someone to show me where in the bible does it say that a marriage has to be male/female. Also, I would not be surprised if this company was sued for discrimination. You people that say you are god fearing and that you read the word of God, and all this other BS, I want you to find where in the word does it say lesbian, homosexual, gay, ect. I can tell you now, God doesn’t discriminate, so why should you? God does not say that because of one’s sexual orientation, then they are going to hell. How about within the ten commandments, does it say anything about one’s sexual preference? No, it does not, so get your head out of your ass and quit judging people. That is God’s job, not yours. And just for the record, no I’m not gay, bisexual, or lesbian, I just don’t believe in judging others on something that they cannot control. And if you think they can control it, then I guess you can control what you are allergic to. So why don’t you hypocrites chew on that for a while.

“This effort is not being launched by the Chick-Fil-A company and no one from the company or family is involved in proposing or promoting it.”
Perhaps true for that particular event, but I hardly thing the *millions* of dollars donated to homophobic foundations dedicated to opposing human rights and equality are coming out of a hole in the ground.
Good old primitive homophobia based on fears and superstitious belief in magical, hatefully homophobic deities. *facepalm* Your beliefs in the supernatural are your own business and I have no interest in dictating what you believe, and would most certainly stand in support for your right to worship. But that’s just it, isn’t it. The crux of the issue. Just as I would have no right to stand in the way of your right to worship whatever deity you happen to, no one has any more right to dictate the rights of others, who they marry, and so on. Just so long as there is no harm of course, and there *IS NOT*, I must remind you… I wouldn’t fight for a person’s right to steal cars, for example. There are no victims in gay marriage, however, *other than* what homophobic bigots * fabricate* to be problems. But dishonest propaganda is not a valid justification of criminalizing or banning something, and while I support your *persona* right to gather and worship, religious beliefs also have no place in legal legislation, I’m afraid.
Thanks.

Jason, sounds like you are Christaphobic, considering the number of times you used the term “homophobic” in your rant. You also used the term “right”. It’s obvious you do not believe in God, because if you did, you would understand that rights come from God…..you do however, have a fuzzy, vague understanding of right from wrong, because you said that you wouldn’t fight for someone’s “right” to steal a car……do you know why you stumbled into the truth there? Because God said it was wrong to steal. The same God that said that it was an abomination for a man to lie down with another man, as he would a woman. And Marriage is a God given institution……and it has a specific meaning ( one man, one woman) as defined by the creator of the institution. If you studied (and therefore understood) the history (the origin) of marriage, you would understand that a man cannot “marry” another man. You see Jason, the legal legislation in our culture originally came because our civil government simply (and quite properly) recognized the institution created by God as found (originally) in scripture………..not the other way around. If you think about it (depending on your capabilities), only the ORIGINATOR gets to DEFINE what marriage actually means. You also said religious beliefs have no place in legal legislation. Really? Let me ask you a Question Jason; do you understand the difference between legal, and LAWFUL? I doubt it. If you did you would understand why Adolph Hitler’s LEGAL legislation, LEGALIZED the murder of 6 million people. And you would also understand why the Nazi’s that were executed after the war, were executed for their UNLAWFUL following of LEGAL legislation. Jason, do I need to spell it out for you? God is the Law Giver, no matter what immoral, godless men, legislate

My favorite part was this:
“Too often, those who are white make make corporate statements to show support for interracial marriage, black rights, or black suffrage, but if the KKK affirms traditional values, we’re considered racist, murderers, hate-mongers, and Negro lynchers.”
Oh, sorry, I misquoted that didn’t I? Well, it’s pretty much the same idea.
“Too often, those on the left make corporate statements to show support for same sex marriage, abortion, or profanity, but if Christians affirm traditional values, we’re considered homophobic, fundamentalists, hate-mongers, and intolerant.”

lol Wizard, that is basically what is said isn’t it. Now for the rest of you that did not understand what it meant past the kkk part, it says that each individual has their own set of traditional values.
So Bernie, since you are all gung hu about this, can you show me exactly where in the bible it says that marriage is male/female? Also, I want to know if this is the kjv or the niv. Did you know that the bibles “we” read are not even the real thing, but simply translations that may or may not even be read right. You know the whole meaning gets lost in translation thing.
So what about these constitutional rights? You know the whole right to religion, and the enumeration in the Constitution shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
But yet, you people that see with such a little mind, here you are shoving your beliefs down others throats, and denying peoples rights. I bet you people still think the world is flat even with scientific evidence it’s round.
*shrugs* well you people have your own beliefs and I have mine. Just don’t judge me because I don’t believe in the same things as you do.

1 Corinthians 7 1-2 now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me it is good for a man not to touch a woman nevertheless to avoid fornication let everyman have HIS OWN WIFE and let every WOMAN HAVE HER OWN HUSBAND.1Corinthians 8-10 i say therefore to the unmarried and widows it is good for them if they abide even as i BUT if they cannot contain let them marry for it is better to marry than burn And to the married i command yet not i but the lord let not the WIFE(FEMALE) depart from the HUSBAND(MALE) How much more evidence do all you non beleivers need its written in BLACK and WHITE.Question yourselfs if your own parents were gay would any of you or us have been born the answer is NO!!!So why do you all agree with the destruction of huamanity. If we didnt have the technology to reproduce with out sex and we were all gay humanity comes to an end as we know it.
Your bible says to be straight? Be straight.
You want to reproduce with a female? Do it.
You want to oppress the freedoms that people have as humans? That is morally wrong, and I don’t think your Jesus would have condoned it.
