The way the Mainstream media has not only played the present anarchy and turmoil in Egypt as a “peaceful youth movement for democracy” – as you so aptly pointed out – but also the way they have for years downplayed Muslim atrocities, sympathized with Islamist terrorirsts as if they (and not those they murder, behead and blow-up) are the “victims”, have vehemently championed the “rights” of murderous Jihadists in Guantanamo and elsewhere, and given a pass to Muslim extremists at every turn in order not to “offend Muslim sensitivities” and out of asinine political correctness, begs to question if perhaps the MSM and the mainstream media, in order to remain consistent, should not have reported this horrific story like they usually do, like this:

MSM, Cairo: “Two hundred democracy-loving Egyptian protesters, ‘peace-loving’ followers of Mohammed and ‘The Religion Of Peace’ – assaulted, beat-up, and took turns repeatedly raping for thirty minites, CBS Correspondent Lara Logan, as she covered the peaceful, cheering, pro-democracy crowd in Tahrir Square, Cairo, for the program ‘Sixty Minutes’ ”

“We must assume Miss Logan must have in some manner provoked this unfortunate incident upon herself, inciting the ire of the otherwise ‘peaceful’ Muslim protesters who undoubtedly were acting in accordance to the highest Islamic values and the teachings of the Prophet, and who, until recently, suffered the yoke of U.S. backed dictator Hosni Mubarak.”
